The Soft Sensation on His Forehead (1)

Although he did not have to face Lu Nan in this position, they were now incomparably closer than earlier when Lu Nan was putting the ointment on his lips. Lin Yu He reflexively wanted to push him away, but the strength of the man’s grip, although gentle, showed that he had no intention of letting go. Lin Yu He now had a slightly better understanding of Lu Nan’s controlling personality after all this time.

Since he could not oppose him through physical strength, Lin Yu He tried to think of a way to persuade him. However, he realized that he did not have any winning chance against Lu Nan. It was unbelievable that he would lose against a silent man in a debate.

He ended up convincing himself instead of trying to persuade Lu Nan.

He thought that the journey itself would not be too long so he could ignore the sensations and tried to get used to the special hand heater.

The ride continued, and the rain had not stopped either. The rain brought with it the snowflake, and together they formed a gentle wintery scene on the window glass.

Lin Yu He eventually relaxed from his previously tense self. Setting aside other worries, Lu Nan’s body heat was at the right temperature, which makes it comfortable.

Lin Yu He’s body was naturally the cold type, so he had been suffering ever since autumn arrived. He had never brought up this issue because he had gotten used to it. However, his hands and feet were still cold, and they began hurting as it dragged on. Hence, he felt really comfortable after he warmed up.

Their only skin contact was their hands, but the man’s arms were around him, so it warmed him up wholly. Lin Yu He thought, “Mr. Lu is more useful than the in-car heater.”

Besides the warmth radiating from his body, the close distance enabled Lin Yu He to smell Lu Nan’s sunken wood fragrance. The smell was comfortingly familiar and Lin Yu He gradually felt his eyelids drooping.

Ever since the weather turned cold, Lin Yu He had not been sleeping well. In addition, he was the type who could only sleep well in a familiar place, so he did not sleep well when he stayed the night outside his dorm last night. Due to having woken up early at dawn, he felt sleepy now.

The soft pattering sound of the rain hitting the window lulled him to sleep while he was cocooned in the comfortable warmth.

He dozed off, but it was not a deep sleep, rather, he drifted between the dreamland and staying awake. In his haze, he felt the sunken wood aroma getting closer and felt a soft sensation on his forehead.

Lin Yu He did not know what happened and was not sure if it was just a dream. He remembered he was still in Lu Nan’s car so he forced himself to open his eyes. It was blurry at first but his sight became clear after he blinked – Lu Nan was right in front of him. The two of them were very close to each other, at a distance where if Lin Yu He turned his head, he would bump into the man’s chin.

Lin Yu He looked at him drowsily and saw no expression on the man’s face but he heard him say, “Don’t sleep in the car, you’ll catch a cold easily like that.”

Lin Yu He answered okay in a nasal tone and blinked harder so he would sober up properly. He thought Lu Nan got so close to him for the purpose of waking him up so he felt guilty, “Sorry…”

Lu Nan did not answer him.

Lin Yu He still did not know what was it that touched his forehead and brushed it off as his dream. His hands were still held by the man and had become truly warm. It felt from the tip of his fingers to his wrist, it was really comfortable.

Lin Yu He finally sobered up and heard Lu Nan’s voice, “We’re almost there.”

He did not know where they were headed, so he asked, “Where are we going?”

Lu Nan replied, “To snap a few couple portraits for the media.”

It caught Lin Yu He off-guard. They had already taken quite a lot for the media before, and there was also the incident with the bill at Seabed Ridge restaurant. The instances when Lu Nan sent him back to the university should also be meant for the paparazzi to capture publicity material. However, nothing had been posted in the media so far, and now they’re going to take more photos again.

Lin Yu He didn’t understand the publicity plan, and never asked, so he could only cooperate to the best of his ability.

Soon, the car arrived in a huge plaza. Lu Nan finally let go of his hand when they got off the car.

Lin Yu He had also warmed up considerably. Plus, they had also entered the shopping mall through the lift at the basement parking lot, so he wasn’t affected by the outside rain and cold.

It was the weekend; malls were very crowded. However, they visited a mall full of branded stores, so the number of workers was higher than the customers.
