CH 28/1

The next morning, Lin Yu He woke up by himself nearly an hour before the alarm went off.

When he didn’t sleep well, he would always wake up early, and would feel the familiar chill from his limbs before he even opened his eyes.

It got better the first two days, so why did it feel cold again?

Lin Yu He sat up wearily, rubbing his forehead in thought.

He had slept with a warm water bottle last night, no different from before.

Lin Yu He felt his warm water bottle at his feet, and it didn’t seem any different.

Maybe it was because he didn’t charge the hot water bottle fully before going to bed.

After all, he had been in such a hurry last night.

He was the only one in the bedroom. After Lin Yu He washed up and left the room, he saw Mr. Lu in the living room.

Lu Nan was reading documents on a tablet at the dining table, and when he heard a sound, he looked up at him but did not speak.

The atmosphere between the two was stagnant.

The tension didn’t last long, though, because Lin Yu He couldn’t help but cover his lips before taking a few steps and sneezing heavily.

“Achoo!”

In an instant the tension was gone, Lu Nan frowning and walking up to him.

“Have you caught a cold?”

LIn Yu He rubbed the tip of his nose, but he couldn’t help but let out a hissing noise when he tried to speak.

When he sneezed just now, he accidentally touched the wound on his lips. Although it wasn’t the dry laceration like before, the swollen wound was still a little painful.

He could only shake his head and indicate that he was fine.

Lu Nan didn’t listen to him, instead putting his hand on his forehead to test the temperature.

The body temperature was normal.

Although, when skin touched skin, Lin Yu He’s body felt a little stiff.

Lu Nan withdrew his hand and said nothing.

He brought a hot towel, asking Lin Yu He to apply it to the wound on his lips.

Lin Yu He sat at the dining table, using the towel as a warm compress. He watched the man instruct the auntie to replace the breakfast with delicious wontons.

Auntie’s craftsmanship was excellent, serving the wontons, with the fragrance drifting.

Not only did it smell delicious, the wontons were very fresh and the soup was extremely tasty.

The hot towel was taken away by the auntie as Lin Yu He, avoiding the wound, ate breakfast in small bites. He heard Lu Nan’s words:

“Let’s not practise for now.”

Lin Yu He nodded his head.

The man’s expression was cold and hard, as usual. Lin Yu He sat closer this time, and realised that the other had a slight blue tinge under his eyes.

It was most likely due to staying up late.

Lin Yu He thought, Mr. Lu’s work and meetings were truly difficult.

Lu Nan said: “Rest up, and we will deal with the other aspects of the wedding first.”

Naturally, Lin Yu He had no objection: “Okay.”

So this long-standing practise was temporarily interrupted. At night during bed, the two continued to share the bed.

In the next few days, Lin Yu He slept much better, and didn’t feel the cold again.

A fully charged hot water bottle was the way to go, he thought.

Even though hugging and kissing practise had been put on hold for now, there were still multitudes of other things to prepare for. As time went by, the preparations for the wedding became more and more busy.

Although the two grooms were living in Yancheng, the wedding had to be held in Xiangjiang, and so they had to take leave to rush to Xiangjiang when the time came.

The distance from Yancheng to Xiangjiang was quite significant, but after the wedding they would return immediately to Yancheng, not staying for very long. The entire trip was for the wedding, which could be considered troublesome.

Lin Yu He knew the situation of the Lu family and guessed that Mr. Lu probably couldn’t disobey the family’s orders. He himself had no opinions, and just wanted to cooperate and complete the task.

The preparations for the wedding process was quite complicated, and it was being jointly planned by a wedding company in Yancheng and another in Xiangjiang. In addition to the communication necessary between the two companies, there were still many matters that needed to be confirmed by the customers themselves, so many items were sent to the grooms.

Lin Yu He himself had purchased some textbooks and problem sets online and had them sent to him. With these added, he had plenty of delivery items.

Because he didn’t return to the dormitory at night and would study at that time, most of Lin Yu He’s textbooks and materials were brought to Fengqi Bay. Everyday after school, the driver would help him pick up his school delivery and pick him up.

In addition to the delivery items for Lin Yu He, many wedding related items were sent to Fengqi Bay. Recently, the packages at home had been piling up. Sometimes when she was cleaning, the auntie would pile them all together and wait for Fang Musen to arrive and deal with them in the evening.

On Friday night, Lin Yu He arrived home a little later. When he got home, Lu Nan had already returned and was reading documents in the study.

Lin Yu He had gone to the lab in the afternoon, so when he returned there was still the scent of chemicals on his body, so he went to take a bath first.

Besides Lu Nan, Fang Musen was also present in the study to act as a special assistant. He was handling all the packages, opening the boxes one after another to reveal several proofs and samples sent by the wedding companies.

Fang Musen sorted these items into categories, and opened a new box.

The packaging was square and heavy. Fang Musen guessed that it was a paper product, but his hands shook when he opened the box to reveal its contents.

He nearly scratched the face of the handsome boss inside the box.

Fang Musen was stunned for a while. He removed the contents of the box, and asked: “Boss Lu, look at this.”

When Lu Nan raised his gaze, he saw the thick stack of magazines.

The cover of the magazine was himself.

It was the book he had seen Lin Yu He read before.

It wasn’t surprising to see the magazine in the deliveries, but the magazine’s sample issue had already been delivered and they had not said that additional deliveries would be made.
