After the first snow, the time for the wedding was also nearing.

Compared with the engagement, there were many more steps in the wedding ceremony. When it approached, Lin Yu He received electronic and paper invitations, which needed to be sent to friends.

It looked just like a real wedding.

Lin Yu He had no plans to invite friends originally, since this was merely an arranged marriage, and it was early for him to get married at this age.

But Lu Nan persuaded him.

“The news of the wedding will definitely get out, and if they find out about your marriage, they will feel neglected if they weren’t invited. They may think that you hid such a big thing from them.”

Lu Nan’s words were analysed from Lin Yu He’s point of view.

Lin Yu He also agreed.

He thought that was definitely true, and if he invited friends, it would make the wedding look more real.

It should be noted that fortunately, Lin Yu He merely nodded and did not speak his thoughts out loud.

The matter of inviting friends was settled, but Lin Yu He didn’t invite many people in the end. He only sent out the invitations to a small group of people.

After all, it was atypical to marry before graduating, and most of the people that Lin Yu He knew were medical students. Even though it was not yet finals season, everyone was very busy.

Although it was just a small group, many were still shocked when Lin Yu He sent them an invitation.

The most shocked, of course, were his two roommates that had been kept in the dark. Zhu Bo’s situation was a little better. After all, he had been a news anchor for so long, he had more knowledge of things. Zhen Ling was unable to handle the news, however. He had been bending over to pick up something when he heard the news, and was so startled that he threw out his back.

In the next few days of class, everytime Zhen Ling got up or sat down, he would groan in pain.

Lin Yu He sincerely apologised, and bought him fruit teas for a week.

Although there were accidents, everyone still sent their blessings in the end.

In fact, there weren’t many people that Lin Yu He wished to invite in the end. Apart from his friends, he had very few relatives to invite. The Wu family was so busy that he had no idea if they would even attend the wedding. On his birth mother’s side, his mum was the only daughter. His grandparents had passed away, and there weren’t many relatives to come.

The person who was truly busy with many guests was Lu Nan. Not only did he have a large family of relatives in Xiangjiang, but there were also various business partners and colleagues. Even confirming the list of invited guests made him very busy.

Even though Lin Yu He did participate in various stages of planning for the wedding, he was only looking at some conceptual planning after all.

The closer to the wedding it was, the busier Lu Nan became. There were a lot of daily affairs to deal with at Taiping, and he had to ask for leave for the wedding, so he needed to arrange various tasks in advance, and he was so busy that he barely even touched the ground.

Overtime had become the norm, and there were several days in a row of all-nighters.

Although Lu Nan would still rush back as soon as he had some free time, urging Lin Yu He to apply lip balm and rest early, there were still several nights that he didn’t come home.

When Mr. Lu was away, Lin Yuhe was also resting on time. But he always felt a little cold at night, so he could only drink milk by himself before falling asleep.

It was as if when the owner was away, the house suddenly became empty and cold.

Even though it was clear that Mr. Lu’s smart fridge was the only recognised source of cooling.

It wasn’t until three days before the wedding, when they were due to leave for Xiangjiang, that Lin Yu He saw Lu Nan, who was finally finished with working overtime.

Driver uncle had come to pick up Lin Yu He first, then to pick up Lu Nan after work, sending the two to a luxury jewellery store to pick up rings.

Lin Yu He had planned to go by himself. He heard that Lu Nan had not closed his eyes for three days because of work, so he wanted the other to find time to rest.

After all, the wedding rings were not new, and there was no need for two people to choose them together. They were a pair of antique heirloom rings. They were merely sent for maintenance and replaced with a new ring insert. All that was needed to do was to pick them up.

However, Lu Nan did not agree, and insisted on going with Lin and He.

The driver picked up Lu Nan, and the two went to the jewellery store together. When Lin Yuhe saw Lu Nan, the man’s demeanour was as normal as usual, and there was nothing unusual to reveal that he had not slept for several days.

Lin Yu He couldn’t help but admire him.

Being a leader was truly hard work. Before, when Lin Yu He stayed up late during exam week to review and study, he could barely tolerate it for two days, let alone staying up for three consecutive days like Lu Nan.

Not only was the physical state good, but Lu Nan’s mood also seemed good. When the people in the jewellery store wrapped up their rings and wished them a happy wedding, Lu Nan gave a rare nod and some responses.

The two walked out of the jewellery store together, but Lin Yuhe couldn’t hold back and asked curiously, “Elder brother, are you in a good mood today?”

Lu Nan walked side by side with him, and said in a low voice, “Yes.”

Lin Yuhe asked, “Is there good news?”

He remembered watching the news on the way here, and Taiping’s stock price seemed to have risen again.

Lin Yuhe was thinking so, but his hand was held by the man beside him.

Lu Nan held the ring box in one hand and Lin Yuhe in the other, with a rare smile on his lips.

“I’m getting married, so I’m in a good mood.”
