Chapter 24: A Sensational Stir Across the Entire School, Launching a Plane War!
“You, the weakest Creator in history, dare to mock me?!”
Xiang Hu’s face flushed red with anger as he bellowed:
“I could pluck a single hair, and it would be larger than your world!”
“A random Lizardman scout could sweep through your entire world.”
“What right do you have to speak like that?”
Being ridiculed in public, especially by a student, caused Teacher Lü’s old face to lose all pride. He retorted coldly:
“Young man, don’t be so overconfident!”
“When you step out into society, you’ll realise the enormous gulf between people.”
“The waters of the Ice and Snow World are too deep for you to navigate. Rather than holding back this girl’s future…”
“It would be better to bless a beautiful union. If Xiang Hu and Chi Lansu were to unite, their future would be limitless.”
Teacher Lü flicked his fingers, and a blood-red card appeared in his hand.
Smiling, he displayed it to Su Bai and Chi Lansu.
The card’s background was a deep scarlet, depicting a blood-colored dragonkin.
The card’s name: “Thin Dragon Blood.”
“Do you know what this is?”
“A B-rank Dragon Blood Card! Specifically brought in by the school for Xiang Hu.”
“If the Lizardman bloodline successfully reverts, he could very well win first place in the city, bringing honour to our school.”
“And what do you have?”
It became clear that they had come here just for this.
Watching Teacher Lü lambast his own student, Teacher Li felt extremely awkward and was about to speak out.
Unexpectedly, Su Bai refused to back down and countered sharply:
“You keep complaining and using power to suppress others.”
“Let’s settle this the way you suggest—by the rules of the strong. Let’s go to the battle room and initiate a Plane War!”
“I ask you, do you dare?”
As soon as those words left Su Bai’s mouth, the room fell into stunned silence.
Chi Lansu’s face turned pale, and she opened her mouth to stop him, but Su Bai signalled her to remain quiet.
Principal Li and Teacher Li thoroughly inspected Su Bai, who appeared calm and composed, exuding confidence.
Their minds swirled with confusion.
“What gives him the confidence to say such things? Even if resource cards were added overnight, how much could a world with an initial limit of 1 kilometre possibly grow?”
Teacher Lü frowned, about to speak, but Xiang Hu, fearing that Su Bai might reconsider, hurriedly stepped forward:
“Good, it’s settled then!”
“Right now!”
The school had classrooms equipped with world projectors.
Seeing Xiang Hu bite the bait, Su Bai’s lips curled slightly into a smile.
He was desperately short of resources, and now that someone was willingly delivering them to him, how could he refuse?
“Since the young ones want to resolve their issues this way, I, an old man, will act as referee,” the principal, always eager for entertainment, said with a smile.
“After the Plane War, no one is allowed to regret the outcome, no matter what happens.”
Chuckling, the principal led them to the battle room.
Along the way, Teacher Li couldn’t hide his concern: S~eaʀᴄh the Novёlƒire.n(e)t website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
“You were too rash. Xiang Hu spent last night militarising his Lizardman world.”
“His soldiers are battle-crazed lunatics, trained specifically for combat. They follow an extreme path.”
“I don’t know what creatures you nurtured last night, but the natural constraints of your world determine the gap between you two.”
Chi Lansu clutched Su Bai’s arm tightly, her palms sweaty, betraying her anxiety.
“You acted too impulsively. Why bother going head-to-head with an idiot?”
“And if something goes wrong during the fight, I’ll never be able to forgive myself.”
Knowing her deskmate well, she thought Su Bai wasn’t one to act recklessly, usually making plans before acting. Now, however, she was utterly puzzled, filled with the desire to help him in the battle.
Su Bai, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease and even teased:
“Well, if something goes wrong, you can just marry me.”
“Ugh, you wish!” Chi Lansu blushed, casting him an annoyed glance, before letting go of his arm and walking ahead.
As they headed to the battle room, someone spread the news about the upcoming Plane War.
In an instant, the entire campus was in an uproar!
It was the end of the term, and students were already restless.
Furthermore, a senior had awakened a world the previous day, leaving the underclassmen buzzing with anticipation.
Now, with the chance to witness a live world projection, who wouldn’t rush over excitedly?
“Hurry to the battle room! Two seniors from Year Three are starting a Plane War!”
“Is it real? The teachers didn’t stop it?”
“Why would they? They’re encouraging it.”
“Quick, this is the first time we’ll see a real Plane War in action!”
“What’s the fight about anyway?”
“Apparently over a girl?”
“A fight for love, huh?”
“I heard it’s Su Bai, who awakened a 1-kilometre world yesterday, challenging Xiang Hu from Class 3, who has a 10-kilometre world. So, a 1:10 difference in strength?”
“For love, knowing it’s impossible but still charging ahead.”
“I’m hooked.”
Within moments, the school was caught up in a whirlwind of excitement.
Thousands of students flocked to the battle room, and even teachers were drawn to the scene.
Hearing the commotion, students in classrooms were restless, itching to rush outside.
The excitement grew so intense that even people outside the school—shops and passersby—were buzzing with curiosity.
As the rumour spread, it morphed into a wild story of two students battling over a female teacher.
“So many people are gathering,” Teacher Li muttered helplessly, glancing out the window at the numerous heads peering in.
The atmosphere had reached a point where there was no turning back.
“Oh, Teacher Zhang, you’re here too?”
“And you, Director Wang?”
Even more teachers entered the battle room.
Director Wang chuckled: “I heard there’s going to be a Plane War with a 10-fold difference. I couldn’t miss the excitement.”
“Ah, youth,” he sighed with a smile.
With the atmosphere growing even livelier and the room packed with people, Xiang Hu grinned:
“With thousands of teachers and students here, even if you want to back out now, it’s too late!”
“After today, you’ll be the laughingstock of Guangcheng Third Middle School!”
“I will prove with my strength that a world ten times larger is an insurmountable gap!”
“It is indeed insurmountable,” Su Bai replied, his expression slightly odd.
There was indeed a tenfold gap between their worlds!
“Activate the world projector.”
As the principal prepared the device, Teacher Lü suddenly spoke:
“Since this is a competition, there should be stakes.”
“My student’s B-rank Dragon Blood Card is priceless.”
“What will you wager, Su Bai?”
Teacher Li was infuriated. This was like putting Su Bai on a spit!
With so many witnesses, if he couldn’t produce a bet or lost, he’d be laughed at for life!
Su Bai, however, was speechless.
Teacher Lü, you’re really setting your student up for failure!
He had just wanted to teach Xiang Hu a lesson, but now the stakes had been raised!
“Well said, Teacher! A competition without stakes is meaningless. One must bet and accept the outcome!”
Xiang Hu laughed triumphantly:
“I’ll prove to you that only the strong deserve beauty!”
“In this world, weakness is the original sin!”
“Of course, if you can’t wager anything or you’re too scared,
then kneel before me now, in front of these teachers and students, and apologise.”
“I’m magnanimous enough to forgive your offense.”
Ha! Xiang Hu was digging his own grave and didn’t even realise it.
“Ha ha ha ha!”
Su Bai laughed heartily, his laughter echoing throughout Guangcheng Third Middle School.
Teachers and students exchanged confused glances, unsure of what to make of it.
