Chapter 26 - Excited Juniors, Shocked Teachers

Chapter 26: Excited Juniors, Shocked Teachers

“Whoa, what the hell! 115 kilometers?! Wasn’t he just awakened yesterday?!”

“They just said Senior Su awakened with 1 kilometer! Can’t you count?! Did you eat the two extra zeros?!”

“That’s right! Yesterday, the whole school was buzzing about someone awakening to a 1-kilometer world. How did it suddenly grow to 115 kilometers overnight?!”

“That’s such a huge difference!”

“Off the charts!”

“A world over 100 kilometers… this is going to make national headlines and probably compete for first place in the country!”

The door burst open, and over a thousand students who had gathered outside overheard the announcement.

They were stunned.

Everyone rushed into the classroom.

Eyes wide, they wanted to witness this legend for themselves.

And the students who had doubted and mocked Su Bai before, laughing at his overconfidence, were now blushing hard!

Many of Xiang Hu’s supporters had faces as red as a monkey’s bottom.

They slowly backed into the crowd, afraid that Su Bai had overheard their earlier words and would hold a grudge.

It wasn’t until the excited students surged forward that the teachers snapped out of it and hurriedly stopped them.

They warned the students not to disturb the simulated war.

But even the teachers were shocked!

They had judged the size of Su Bai’s world with the naked eye, not knowing the exact numbers.

Once the broadcast revealed the truth, they realized just how absurd Su Bai’s world was!

115 kilometers!

That size could almost qualify someone to be a teacher!

Some of the teachers had been in society for 30 years, and even they had barely achieved that level!

And yet Su Bai… did it in a single night!

Director Wang, on the verge of losing his composure, took a deep breath and asked in a slightly trembling voice:

“Mr. Li, are you sure that after Su Bai’s awakening yesterday, his world was only 1 kilometer?! How is this even possible?!”

Wiping his glasses repeatedly and even clearing his ears to make sure he hadn’t misheard the broadcast, Mr. Li, equally shaky, replied:

“I… I’m sure. I personally inspected him in the classroom yesterday. His world was indeed only 1 kilometer, and its energy was so scarce that it could barely support life.”

“Then how could this happen?”

“Growing this much in one night? Did a supernova explode and drop a piece of land right on his head?”

“I think it’s more likely that there was an error in recording yesterday, or the awakening wasn’t fully complete. It wasn’t until he returned home that his potential was fully unleashed.”

The teachers could no longer remain calm.

In all their years of teaching, they had never encountered anything like this.

A newborn world over 100 kilometers!

This was truly a divine seed!

A national star!

He was qualified to compete for the top ten talents in the entire country!

“Stop guessing. I supervised Su Bai’s entire awakening process yesterday. It was indeed 1 kilometer. There’s no doubt about it!”

The supervising teacher from yesterday confirmed.

“Am I the unluckiest person to encounter such a once-in-a-lifetime anomaly?”

Naturally, the most shaken person in the room was Teacher Lü!

His mind was in a daze.

Thinking back to how he had offended Su Bai earlier and even used the Dragon Blood Card as a bet, he wished he could travel back in time and slap himself.

Especially when he saw Xiang Hu, standing dumbfounded on the battle platform.

His heart grew even more bitter and filled with regret.

Hadn’t he just set up his star pupil for disaster?

And he had wagered the most expensive B-grade Dragon Blood Card on it!

It was a card that had taken him 20 years of teaching reputation to secure as a loan to support Xiang Hu in competing for the city’s top ten!

“Yes!”

Cheering the loudest among them was Chi Lansu, who was jumping for joy.

She was happier than if she had won herself.

“Alright, quiet down.”

“We’ll discuss this after the battle is over.”

Amidst the chaos, the old headmaster intervened just in time.

With a wave of his world energy, the students were pushed aside.

Only then did everyone’s attention return to the battle platform.

But what they saw made the teachers and students smile knowingly.

“There’s no need to continue, is there?”

“Is Senior Su raising insects? How did they grow so big?”

Su Bai glanced at Xiang Hu, who was frozen with fear, and without hesitation, commanded his army:

“Ultra Kabuterimon, lead the Rhinoceros Beetle army into battle!”

“Be mindful of traps and spears. Don’t let a single enemy escape. Stay alert!”

“Yes, sir!”

Ultra Kabuterimon vibrated its wings and led its thousand soldiers.

Like a steel torrent, they charged at the Lizardmen.

“Fall back! Don’t face them head-on!”

Xiang Hu roared in desperation.

He had invested everything in his 300 Lizardmen.

Even though it was just a simulated war, losing them would still cost him some of his world’s core power.

“They’re just a bunch of hollow husks! Don’t be afraid, find cover!”

A mid-tier Iron Lizardman Shaman commanded.

At his order,

300 spears were hurled into the sky.

The sound of their flight filled the air.

But what shocked everyone was…

The Rhinoceros Beetle army didn’t dodge at all and continued their charge.

The spears either glanced off their smooth armour or snapped in two.

They couldn’t even penetrate!

The Lizardmen warriors were stunned.

Rhinoceros Beetles were already known for their tough defences, and with the added boost from their home field, they were unstoppable.

This result didn’t surprise Su Bai.

The first wave of flying Rhinoceros Beetles had already closed in.

Ultra Kabuterimon’s horn began to glow, and under Su Bai’s command, it didn’t underestimate its enemy.

It unleashed its ultimate move directly at the Lizardman Shaman.

“Grand Horn Destroyer!”

Blue arcs of electricity danced around its glowing red horn, gathering immense energy.

It resembled the mighty hammer of Thor,

as the electricity condensed into a high-temperature, red-orange double-headed axe-shaped energy weapon.

Ultra Kabuterimon flapped its wings rapidly.

A sonic boom echoed across the sky.

Even the projection of the world flickered and blurred.

It dove from high above at supersonic speed.

“Block it!”

The Lizardman Shaman’s expression changed drastically, and he ordered his men to use their bodies as shields.

But the attack was too powerful!

Mass + Speed + High-Energy Cannon equalled invincibility!

Boom!

Ultra Kabuterimon crashed into the Lizardmen ranks like a missile.

The Grand Horn Destroyer instantly pierced through ten Lizardmen warriors and impaled the Shaman.

High-energy lightning surged into the Shaman’s body, and he quickly disintegrated into particles of light.

“That’s it?!”

Ultra Kabuterimon, disappointed, flicked its horn,

releasing the remaining energy onto the other Lizardmen.

With just one charge, the Grand Horn Destroyer had massacred over a hundred Lizardmen.

Brutal!

Absolutely brutal!

It was born to fight!

The students were all hyped up, cheering loudly and praising Ultra Kabuterimon’s coolness.

The teachers exchanged glances.

“In just one night, Su Bai managed to nurture such terrifying insect warriors? At least Bronze-level!”

“Defence, speed, and energy are all flawless. This year’s city champion is ours for sure!”

The old headmaster, whose squinty eyes had long vanished, nodded in satisfaction at Ultra Kabuterimon.

“Stop fighting, stop killing!”

Xiang Hu collapsed on the ground, all his arrogance gone.

In a desperate voice, he cried out: Searᴄh the NovelFire.net* website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“I surrender! Call off your insects!”

“If the Lizardmen die, it’ll take at least three days for them to recover. I still need to take the university entrance exam.”

“I was wrong, I shouldn’t have provoked you!”

“You’re the bigger person, don’t hold it against me. Let me go!”

He was crying and snotting all over.

Wishing he could kneel before Su Bai.

The seven days following an awakening were the golden period of development.

All for the university entrance exams!

If all his soldiers died, the core of his world would weaken.

It would seriously affect his performance in the exams!

Teacher Lü also spoke up, urging:

“We’re all from the same school. You’ve won, so give him a break.”
