Wu Chi didn’t dare to relax.
Inside the small hut, the furnishings were simple—a wooden table, wooden chairs, a hard wooden bed, an oil lamp, and a kettle of tea.
Wu Chi and Lin Daiyu sat across from each other, wiping down the longsword in his hand, his heart filled with excitement.
At school,
he had learned a bit of swordsmanship,
Lords didn’t necessarily need to spend time training, as they could grow stronger quickly by relying on their territory and subjects.

Wu Chi’s eyes lit up, standing up with excitement.
The first wave of the Newcomer Trial, the easiest monster attack of the first day!
“Let’s go!”
Wu Chi waved his hand and walked briskly out of the hut!
The moment he stepped outside,

something unexpected happened for the small monster,
Wu Chi’s sword slid down the blade,
and he turned his body, twisting his waist to turn the thrust into a slash!

The sword cut across,
and the monster’s neck was slashed open,
blood spraying out!
It screamed loudly,
then collapsed to the ground, twitching.
“Gah!?”
The other small monster was startled. Its previously menacing expression quickly turned to fear,
and without hesitation, it turned to flee!
But showing its back to the enemy was essentially a death sentence!
Wu Chi’s eyes gleamed,
and he rushed forward, delivering a full-force strike, his sword piercing the small monster’s heart!
Thud—!
Blood splattered, staining the sword red.
The small monster struggled briefly,
then collapsed, quickly becoming a corpse.
“First wave!”
Wu Chi withdrew his sword and shook off the blood, feeling quite satisfied.
At that moment, he noticed two treasure chests materializing on the corpses of the small monsters.
These were the rewards for defeating Void monsters,
and the core to strengthening his territory!

Wu Chi inserted his sword into the ground and went to collect the two chests, placing them into his inventory.
Normally,
there would only be 2 monsters in the first wave, so Wu Chi relaxed a bit.

Boom—!
A sonic boom echoed from the distance, followed by a wave of scorching heat!
Wu Chi snapped his head around,
only to see a rapidly spinning fireball speeding toward him from the darkness!
