The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the rugged landscape. A gentle breeze rustled through the tall grass, carrying with it the scent of wildflowers. In the midst of this serene setting stood Ye Kai, his eyes fixed upon a massive cave nestled amidst the craggy cliffs.
The cave's entrance beckoned with an air of enigma, its darkness contrasting with the vibrant hues of the surrounding landscape. Ye Kai's gaze was fixed on the cave's entrance as if searching for hidden secrets within its depths.
"Host, there are no secrets or anything. Just go inside and take the book," the System said.
"Here I'm thinking that there might be some secret or trial to obtain that book," Ye Kai said, shaking his head in disappointment. He had anticipated something grand but now faced the possibility of a simple task.
As the evening progressed, the sky transformed into a canvas of deep blues and purples adorned with twinkling stars. Undeterred by his initial disappointment, Ye Kai took a step closer to the cave, his resolve unwavering. With each step, he could sense a shift in the atmosphere, as if the world around him held its breath.
Moving forward, he stepped into the cave, leaving the fading light behind. As he delved deeper into the cave, the soft glow of the moonlight filtered through narrow openings, casting ethereal shadows that danced along the walls. The eerie ambiance began to seep into Ye Kai's heart, and the cave seemed to respond, growing darker and gloomier with each passing step.
"Host, sorry, but I forgot to mention that this cave is filled with ghosts, and if you get cursed by those ghosts, it would be too bad. I think you should use some sort of protection on yourself," the System spoke without much emotion in her voice.
"System, can't you tell important things first?" Ye Kai frowned and scolded the System.
Ye Kai snapped his fingers, and a protective barrier appeared on his body.
As he ventured inside, he felt something amiss, a feeling that he shouldn't go forward. But he kept going, and the cave became so dark that even moonlight couldn't reach its depths.
Ye Kai snapped his fingers, and three fireballs appeared in the air, scaring away the darkness. Ye Kai was able to see clearly in the cave, and he saw four paths in front of him.
"Now, which way should I go?" Ye Kai asked the System.
"The second path," the System replied.
Ye Kai nodded and went to the second path, but the System chimed in as he put his foot there.
"Host, this is not the second path from the left, but from the right," the System chimed.
"Stupid system, count from the right, not the left," Ye Kai raised his eyebrow. "And System, I feel that today you are messing with me."
"Host, never. I will never mess with you or provide you with any false information. I always think about your well-being and find a way for you to become a sovereign of this world," the System spoke.
"I don't see any honesty there. I feel you have changed," Ye Kai spoke and shook his head, and went to the right path to get the Spiritual Art Technique.
"Host, believe me, in this whole world, no one thinks about your well-being as much as I do," the System said.
"No, I bet my mother and sister are the ones who think about my well-being way more than you," Ye Kai said.I think you should take a look at
"Huh? Host, I don't think so. I'm the only one who thinks more about you than anyone else. After all, our lives are connected. I can't let anything happen to you, not to mention we are always together," the System replied.
"Okay, okay. If you think about my well-being the most in the world, then tell me which path I should go, counting from the right," Ye Kai said as he looked at the five paths in front of him.
After walking on the second path, he saw five more paths.
"The third path," the System instructed.
Ye Kai nodded and went on the third path. After some walking, he saw seven more paths, and with the System's instructions, he was able to find the right path. In this cave, Ye Kai passed through a lot of ways before he was able to enter a room that was ice-cold. Ye Kai used the System to make himself warm.
As he surveyed the room, his eyes fell upon a tattered book lying alone on a dusty surface. The room itself appeared barren, devoid of any other objects or furniture. Its walls were faded and peeling, and the air carried a musty scent as if the room had been abandoned for years.
"This is the Spiritual Art Technique," Ye Kai said.
Ye Kai nodded to the System and approached the book.
The book's cover was worn and weathered, its pages yellowed with age. Ye Kai saw some characters on the cover of the book, but he didn't recognize these characters
"It's the language of the East Sky Continent. Wait a minute, I'll pour all the memories of East Sky Continent characters into your head," the System said.
Ye Kai felt his mind burning in pain as the System's voice fell. He endured the pain and thought that some characters were floating in his mind. When his mind was freed from the pain, Ye Kai looked at the book's cover page again.
[Heaven's Triumphant Sword Slash]
Ye Kai looked at the title and opened the delicate pages of the book. He saw that Heaven's Triumphant Sword Slash was divided into three slashes.
The First Heaven Sword Slash: Celestial Cascade
The Second Heaven Sword Slash: Azure Whirlwind
The Third Heaven Sword Slash: Divine Thunderclap
Ye Kai understood that training these three moves would be difficult but not impossible. He put the book in his inventory and turned to go back.
However, when he turned, he felt something watching him. As he wondered what it was, he saw some black-colored thing coming out. This black-colored thing was transparent, with two imposing arms considerably large in size, extended from its body, while ten delicate fingers adorned each hand. Its head resembled an oversized balloon.
