"As a member of our guild, you will have access to tons of information, and we only ask out members to work for us one week per month," Luke said. "Usually, only playes that cleared more than eight missions can join us, but I am sure you guys will reach that mark soon enough."
"No thanks," Jake replied. "Well, since the ring will benefit our party, I guess we should share the cost."
"Are you really against joining a guild?" Lana asked. "Or the problem is the fact that you will have to deal with many other players?"
"Both reasons, I don't want anyone telling me what I should do in this game," Jake replied. "Also, even if we gain some benefits, even guilds should have some sort of hierarchy and new members will always be at the bottom."
"When you put it like that…" Lana crossed her arms and then began to think.
"Also, we have numerous bases and people who look after our magic herbs, so you would be able to cultivate and multiply your herbs, or at least create a larg stock of potions daily," Luke said. "If you need help with missions, we will gladly help you with some free veterans as well. Naturally, you will have access to our vault of magic items that will grant you all sorts of skills and classes, as your contribution to the guild increases, you will have the chance to borrow sole high level items."
"Thanks, but no thanks," Jake said. "I am not going to join your guild. Do you two want to join his guild?"
"That would put our party in a difficult spot if you dont join, right?" Lana asked.
"Just a little bit," Jake replied.
"Yeah, right…" Lana frowned.
"Well, the offer will always be standing, so you don't have to worry about refusing it now," Luke said. "If you think of changing your mind, you can look for me or my guild, the metal warriors."
The party left the area in silence while wondering what had just happened. It seemed that they could make things a lot easier by joining a guild, but the rules were a bit annoying. Another factor was the fact Jake didn't want to share his accomplishments with others.
"So, are we going to head straight to clear the dungeon of the new map?" Lana asked.
"No… if Luke went as far as helping us by telling us that we would need this ring, then we will take our time and get used to the new terrain," Jake replied. "We can clear the dungeon on our third try."
Trying that on their third attempt certainly wasn't taking their time… Nevertheless, Lana and Louise were also curious to see if something would happen once they completed that one mission.
Survive against the Snow Wolves for five hours. Rewards: 3000 coins, 300 fame, and 15 small health potions.
Defeat five hundred snow wolves in five hours. Rewards: 5000 coins, 500 fame, and 25 small mana potions.
Clear the dungeon in the Icy Mountains. Rewards: 15000 coins, 1500 fame, and a magic box.
Jake frowned since the third mission was already there to be chosen on the first try. That had never happened before… Nevertheless, Jake chose the first option, and then the group was teleported to the Icy mountains. Since Jake already had Cold Resistance, the cold winds of the map weren't bothering him all that much. Still, Lana was already trembling from head to toe due to the cold, even though she had a Cape to protect herself.
"What… is this…" Lana said while trembling. "This is too cold…"
In the end, Louise passed the Cape Resistant against the cold to Lana, but then she was the next to feel extremely cold. Something was odd… WHEN Jake checked their status, he confirmed that their willpower was even lower than his. That was probably the reason…
"You need to increase your willpower…" Jake said. "Why you didn't increase it even a little bit?"
"Because you never let us get hit…" Lana frowned. "We didn't feel the need to do it."
"Well, I would say sorry, but that would he stupid," Jake said.
Unfortunately, the girls didn't have time to get used to the cold since some snow wolves were already quickly approaching. Lana quickly used her support spells on Jake and then hid herself inside her Cape. Louise struggled for a bit longer, trying to create a Fireball, but the wind was decreasing her power.

Jake frowned when he saw those attributes. They were way higher than the last time he checked them. Nevertheless, the creatures were running away from each other, and since they were pretty big, it seemed that they wouldn't attack Jake alone.
"So annoying…" Jake said and then fired Mana Blades toward their faces.
The monsters were caught off guard due to the skills' speed and attack and received critical damage. Jake and the others looked weak, but they certainly weren't a free meal.
Jake dashed toward one of them before the target could recover. Still, before he could get hit, a Fireball passed by him and exploded on the monster's face, making the creature's dizziness last for a while. Thanks to that, Jake had the chance to slash the monster's fact three times and kill it.
You obtained 04 coins.
That had been surprisingly easy, but then Jake felt another snow wolf approaching and then hit his shield with its head. Making Jake fly for several meters…
