When Jake opened his eyes, he saw Lana and Louise watching him up close. It seemed that they looked worried about something, and then he noticed that he was the cause of their worry. Jake was covered in sweat, and his heart was beating like crazy… that dream had been pretty vivid like the other one that repeated itself several times, but that one was completely new.
"Were you having a nightmare? You were sweating bullets and showing a tense expression," Lana said. "Come to think of it, you said that you have a hard time falling asleep…"
"Nah, it was probably because I am not used to sleeping after sunrise. The heat got me," Jake said and then got up.
Although he said that, everyone knew that the weather in that region was pretty nice. Only two hours had passed since sunrise, so the temperature was far from being high.
"Well, whatever," Lana said. "I want to take a shower… I don't remember feeling so dirty while we played this game before."
"That is probably because this isn't a real game… or rather, it is a game based on reality," Louise said while she looked at Jake, wondering if he had lied or not. "It shouldn't be hard to find a pound or river in this region."
Jake also wanted to take a shower or at least swim for a while in a river or lake since his clothes were drenched in sweat. While that dream had been pretty intense and bloody, Jake couldn't understand why he sweated so much. He was also interested in why he was having that dream… the dark-haired man seemed weird in more ways than one.
"Shit… why am I having these weird dreams?" Jake furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of Jake and then destroyed the surface of the tree in front of him. When he approached to check it, Jake noticed that it seemed the tree had been burned by something very powerful, but at the same time, it didn't leave any smoke behind.
"What was that…" Jake frowned.
It looked like the effect of a skill, but Jake didn't have offensive spells like that. Besides, how could he activate a spell without wishing for it? Jake suddenly recalled something and then checked his skill list, and then he saw it...

Flames of Wrath
Effect: it Grants you the power to transform your wrath into black flames that can incinerate everything until nothing is left behind.
As expected, one of the mysterious skills that Jake had from the start was finally revealed. Still, why now of all times? What happened to him to obtain that, and why did he have it? It didn't make sense that Jake had two skills as useful as those. The skill didn't even have a cost…
Jake looked at the tree again and then got a bit angry. The dark flames appeared, and they were the size of the tip of his fingers. When Jake thought of making it fly around, the flames obeyed… it was truly a useful skill.
"Was it because of the dream that I unlocked this power?" Jake thought.
"Hey, what is that?" Lana frowned when she finally realized that Jake was destroying the tree with the weird black flames.
"A skill that I just gained…" Jake replied. "Don't ask more than that because I am as shocked as you are."
While even at level one, the flames were useful, Jake couldn't deny the danger of them. Since it could be automatically summoned with his anger. He might end up burning someone if he gets pissed at them, and depending on where he is looking at, maybe there won't be a chance to heal them. Jake's anger had become a double-edged sword…
"I thought that you didn't like magic, Jake," Louise said. "So, it is weird seeing you using it. Still, this might be a good thing. Things will only get harder from here on out, and with this type of skill, maybe you won't leave all hard battles so wounded."
While that was true, Jake still was worried about the possibility of letting those flames going berserk. Jake always tries to keep his composure, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't get angry, even when he has a poker face. From now on, he will have to be extra careful.
"Well, let's keep heading West and see if we can find anything until noon," Jake said.
The group began to move again, and Jake used that chance to learn how to control those flames with Absolute precision. Thanks to that, he learned that the skill couldn't grow too much, even if he gets too angry due to the level of the skill. However, that changed when the skill leveled up… the small flame got twenty percent bigger, and Jake now could make it turn into a small arrow. However, it seemed that the limit of the reach of the skill was one meter per level.
