Due to the sheer number of attacks given by Karina, the boss forgot about Jake and tried to smash her with both arms, but Lana protected her with a Barrier. Lana's power had reached a pretty awesome level since her spells could be so effective against the boss. Still, the creature didn't give up after a single attack, so the monster tried again and again until Lana had to stop and drink a mana potion to be able to use Barrier again. This time, Louise was the one who stopped the boss with an Ice Arrow, but it only worked for a moment. Karina tried to destroy the frozen arms of the boss, but she didn't have enough time.
Who had enough time to do something was Jake. He jumped from the mud pool and then used his katana to pierce the monster's head with all his might. He fell the tip of his sword, stopping after hitting something, but it didn't destroy it. The core of the monster sure was something else. That being said, Jake could see the beast losing one hundred points of health every second. So, he decided to leave his katana right there and then jumped backward and landed with his claymore already in hand.
"Go for the arms!" Jake shouted.
Before the monster could pull out the katana, the group attacked the monster's arms, delivering consecutive hits like a storm. The boss knew that it couldn't make another arm grow since Jake had the power to cut it off. So the creature really didn't know what to do when being attacked so fervently by three sides. In the end, the boss decided to get rid of the easiest target first. It was a standard tactic to target the enemy that could be killed faster than the others, and in this case, it was Karina, who was still mad for almost being crushed by the monster.
The creature ignored all other attackers for a moment and then opened its arms to make sure that Karina wouldn't have time or the chance to escape. Quickly, the monster closed them to smash her into a pulp. The girl continued to attack like nothing was happening. Still, in the end, a barrier, alongside two Earth Walls, appeared to protect her. Lana and Louise knew that the monster was going to do that sooner or later, so they were ready for it.
In the end, the monster was left wide open for a full moment, and then Jake and Karina decided to use that chance. They jumped to attack the monster's head and made the weapons hit the core of the creature all at the same time. In a single instant, the beast lost five thousand points of health, with those three critical attacks landing at the same time.

Jake sighed in relief as he fell back to the ground. He quickly recovered his katana and noticed that thanks to that attack, its durability decreased quite a bit. He will have to put her away until he finds someone to repair it.

Jake and the others also had a pleasant surprise when they saw those brown gloves standing where the body of the boss had melted. The skill sure would be useful… but Jake didn't know how it would be considering his fighting style. Still, he will have enough time for that.
"Thank you… for the help," Karina said. "And I am sorry for losing my head for a moment."
"Come to find us near the river near the starting point of that planet," Louise said. "We will be waiting for you."
"Yeah, we can still work together if we ignore Jake's bitching," Lana said. "I am sure he will grow tired of complaining soon enough."
"You shouldn't underestimate my stubbornness," Jake said.
Jake had already thought about the possibility of Karina joining their party. If she was someone who wanted to cause trouble for them, that would work as a good lesson for those two. If that weren't the case, it was even better. She could take his spot, and the girls won't have a problem hunting anywhere. Jake knew that it was unavoidable since he was the only one that truly liked that new world. Not to mention, it was bound to happen that they would join a guild sooner or later, and Jake didn't want that.
"Okay… I will find you," Karina said.
Soon after, the whole group was teleported back to that initial world. It was night, so Jake was itching to put his back against some tree and then fall asleep, but he wasn't so sure if he could trust the girls to watch over the things. They still were too na?ve…

"Let's make a fire," Louise said. "It will be easier for Karina to find us if she is close."
"I am beat… what we will have for dinner, Jake?" Lana asked.
That was a stupid question, but Jake wasn't expecting any less from Lana. Without proper cooking utensils, they could only eat meat cooked by a campfire and eat some sweet fruits. In any case, after stuffing his stomach, Jake laid his back against a tree, and even though he didn't want to fall asleep, he lost the battle against the exhaustion. He only opened his eyes the next day, and he did so very suddenly when he felt a weird presence, and he confirmed that Karina had already found them.
