"Hey, do you know where I can find your guild master?" Jake asked to one of the guys looking after the plants.
"… We don't have one," The guy who was armed with a battle-ax and red armor replied while looking behind Jake.
"You don't have one… did I hear correctly?" Jake frowned since he was starting to stand out by the fact that he was always surrounded by girls.
"You didn't hear it wrong," The man replied. "No one here wants to step out and become responsible for the lives of others. This region is for those who want to work with others but don't want to follow the commands of some authoritarian asshole."
At least the man had some spirit… but the fact that he was in a guild that didn't have a leader seemed pretty stupid. After looking around for a while, Jake finally understood why the place didn't have walls or anything like it. While the people there reach the house of five hundred humans, they don't feel the urge to do much aside from keeping the bare minimum to survive while they use most of their time to find a way home. They were the people who chose the first option after reaching the requirements necessary to complete the tutorial but regretted it later since the hardships increased more than a little bit…
"Honestly, I am relieved and troubled about finding a place like this," Louise said.
"Well, it is fine, isn't it?" Lana asked. "They are doing their bests to survive and find a way home. Everyone is allowed to regret some of their choices…"
Usually, Karina would say something clear to stay on the good side of the girls, but she just looked away when she noticed Jake's gaze. She seemed troubled about that place but for another reason, probably. In any case, the few people there who had some decent gear to sell or trade were willing to do so, but the quality of their items wasn't that impressive. Fortunately, there were enough people there, and some of them found some interesting items. Jake brought the most interesting ones for fifty thousand coins.

While that was all very good, Jake face palmed for not having picked some of the golems' cores… if he knew that he would get that class so soon… Nevertheless, what was done was done. Besides, it wasn't like he could forge items with a hammer alone. He would need one heck of a fire to melt the cores.
"I can't imagine you crafting or forging anything," Lana said. "Still, you look like someone who really wants these skills…"
"Waiting for drops is a pain. Waiting for people selling drops is also a pain," Jake said. "So, this will probably be the fastest way to gain new weapons and armor."
"Everything is a pain to you, huh," Lana said.
"Somewhat," Jake nodded.
As much as it was fun, Jake couldn't deny that he couldn't fight twenty-four hours a day. Besides, the fights had been pretty difficult. If the girls didn't have some useful skills, Jake couldn't imagine himself defeating the bosses so fast. So, he should prepare for that time when he will have to fight alone.
After looking around those camps for a while longer, they decided to return since they didn't find anything worthwhile. Besides, Jake was starting to get annoyed by the eyes of some men. They were clearly jealous of his situation… while having a party with three pretty girls certainly was something to be jealous of. They were only working together. Nothing was going on with them.
"Well, that was disappointing," Lana said while they were walking away. "In any case, if I were the leader of a powerful guild, I would create a base on a planet with lots of resources… do you know any of those, Karina?"
"Let's see… I heard of a mission where we have to hunt spiders, and I also heard that they drop some rare items," Karina replied. "Apparently, we can get their poison even while they are dead, and the poison is really powerful. I don't have access to that mission, though."
"No, no, no… I hate spiders," Lana said.
"I am not fond of them either," Louise forced a smile.

While those two were complaining, Jake confirmed that he couldn't go to that world either. However, he could go and clear the salamanders' dungeon, and they had plenty of time to do so. So, that raised a question, should they go to the other group of guilds in the East or fight some salamanders?
