While keeping his shield instead of on his left arm and turning it around to use whenever one of the monsters got too close, Jake attacked the enemies one at a time and studied them as well. When he got a good grasp of their moves while they were flying in groups, Jake went to the offensive. Those creatures were a bit troublesome due to their skills and nature, but their moves were extremely limited because of those as well, so Jake found the best ways to deal with them before going for the kill.
Jake charged and then smashed one bee and swung his sword to cut down six of those enemies at the same time. Before he could finish the notion, he used Mana Blade, and the beam of energy cut in half three of those weird beehives.

Some of the bees went crazy when their beehives were destroyed, and Jake had an easy time killing them… He could use that in his favor. He suddenly dashed toward the beehives and ignored their attacks. They didn't have many chances to do anything. Anyway. Their controllers were taken out of the battle, and even more, bees went mad. That was probably the weakness of summoners, and it was even more obvious when their master was a dead brain monster.
Regardless, it took a while, but that strategy eventually worked, and Jake dealt with all the monsters in the area. Some others were approaching, but they won't be much of a problem.
"The real issue is the fact that I won't be able to rest here… I will have to clear the dungeon before my exhaustion reaches dangerous levels," Jake thought.
Jake knew that the monsters around the area would come to stop him, and since it had been a while since the dungeon was cleared, he would have to deal with a lot of them. Showing his back to them by suddenly heading into the dungeon and facing the boss would be too risky, even for his standards. So, he had to play it smart. The idea was to head to the dungeon and access the shop to get some support spells that would make things a bit easier for him.
"It will be a bit expensive, but it is also an investment and a good chance to make several skills level up at the same time," Jake thought.
After dealing with the nearby monsters, Jake decided to see how far he could approach the dungeon while being stealthy. Perhaps he should learn that skill as well since from now on, he will have to have more options in order to increase his chances of success in whatever he tries to accomplish. Since the grass in the area was fairly tall, Jake managed to avoid some fights by stopping moving even when the monsters headed in his direction. Somehow, it looked like they were told where they could find the enemies, but they didn't have the skills to pinpoint their locations. Still, Jake could only hide so much while being a pure warrior with his skills. He didn't have many spots to hide as he approached, and the number of fights increased… he finished them pretty fast with Mana Blades, but even so… he had to change his approach.
"The range of Flames of Wrath still is small, so I have to rely a lot on Mana Blade," Jake thought. "I should wait until the night before I try to approach the dungeon."
Fortunately, Jake only had to wait for three hours before that could happen. Once everything got almost completely dark, he began to move again. He found a few hundred of those weird beehives making a line to protect the entrance.
"All right… it is time," Jake thought after he visualized the best way of action in that kind of situation.
Jake got up and then used Dash to cover a large distance in a single moment. When the monsters noticed his approach, he used Sonic Punch, and then his fist smashed the head of one of the beehives. At the same time, he used several Mana Blades to split the others on the right side in half. While the bodies were falling, he dashed to the left side and began to cut down the monsters. Thanks to their line formation, Jake had the chance to kill them without being targetted by more than one of them at a time. At least for a while. Several of the beehives began to summon the bees since they couldn't attack him… but when they approached, they were blocked by two small walls of dark flames. Staying angry while fighting when he was so tired was pretty easy for Jake, so the flames didn't lose power and did their job well.
p In the blink of an eye, Jake almost destroyed the left side of the enemy formation, but then the right side. Eventually, he recovered from the first attacks and began to surround Jake while firing Poison Arrows. Thanks to the sheer number of projectiles, the defensive power of the walls decreased, and Jake decided to use them to stop only the bees while he blocked the arrows with the claw shield. Unfortunately, he couldn't stop them from all angles…
"Urgh… It is time for Plan B," Jake thought while he felt the poison hitting his body, eating away his health.
Fortunately, Jake imagined that things would end up like that, and he had another plan… it was quite the bloody and a bit gross, but it couldn't be helped. He continued to attack the beehives, but upon his sword touching the monsters, he used Explosive Touch. Thanks to that, a lot of smoke, dust, and blood began to risers in the area and decreased the visibility of the monsters even more. When Jake finished the left side of the enemies, the right side couldn't see him anymore… things got completely silent.
