In the end, Jake recovered his katana when it got back to normal, and the enemy also pulled the longsword from his back. He got serious damage from those attacks, and he was bleeding, but the lich wasn't done yet. He also grabbed the sword as if he was planning to use it like one… it wasn' time for that kind of taunt or words, but the lich felt like he should give Jake some words for whatever reason. Probably out of anger.
"I will make you all pay…" The lich said.
"Vengeance never gets old as a motivation, huh," Jake said. "I came here to finish this quest, but I was starting to wonder if I should since some humans did you some wrongdoings. However, considering that you are this unreasonable, then I don't have any other choice. I will put you down and force you to answer my questions."
Jake charged toward the lich, but then that guy stopped his approach with a single swing of the longsword. Jake blocked the attack, but his shield began to vibrate for quite a while. For someone who had such thin and frail arms, he sure had a lot of strength…
Jake used Mana Blade before charging again, and the enemy used the longsword to block the attack before swinging it to attack. However, Jake used Shield Smash, and both of them collided without moving from their spot. The lich grunted from the pain caused by the impact, he had some physical strength, but endurance wasn't his forte. It would be weird if it were with that frail body. The lich probably enhanced his body to be able to use magic like that, but some price had to be paid for it.
Since he liked that, Jake insisted on that method of attack and charged again. The lich assumed a defensive stance when he used Shield Smash and ended up getting hurt even more due to the blunt damage. In that short window of time that the enemy staggered, Jake had an idea and tried to put it into motion. He grabbed a health potion and threw it at the face of the lich. As if he was being hit by boiling water, his face began to burn.
"Oh, boy… undead are really weak agaisnt health and life potions, huh," Jake thought. "I wished I had a phoenix down."
While the lich was suffering from a health potion, as if that could be called that way, Jake used his katana to cut off one of the enemy's arms, but the lich still used the longsword to block it. Jake insisted on the motion and attacked the same way several times. Until the enemy suddenly made a purple sphere appear above him and then fired at Jake. He stepped to the side to dodge the attack, but it gave the lich enough room to swing the longsword and almost split Jake in half. His armor saved him, but his neck and face still got cut deeply…
Jake stepped backward for a moment since he almost lost his life and his left eye and then blinked for a short moment. However, he then recovered and gritted his teeth before charging toward the enemy. When his shield and the enemy's sword were about to collide, he used Explosive Touch, and the impact caused a small explosion that made the lich be pushed several meters backward, and before he could even stop, Jake jumped toward him and swung his sword down toward him.
The lich blocked the sword strike with his own, but Jake didn't put much weight behind it. Before he could even fall to the ground, he twisted his body and then landed a roundhouse kick on the lich's face.
The lich staggered on his feet, and then Jake attacked with his shield again, using Explosive Touch. The enemy blocked the attack with his sword, but in the next moment, Jake cut off the arm holding the sword using his katana. The lich hissed in pain, and then he tried to reach for the arm, or maybe for the sword, but then kicked him in the stomach.
Before he could try anything again, Jake recovered his freezing longsword and pierced the cut-off arm before freezing it with its effect. Once it froze completely, Jake stepped on it and turned it into pieces.
In a fit of rage, the lich charged at Jake as well, and that probably had been the worst mistake of his life. He used Flamethrower to burn Jake alive, but with his shield in hand and with the freezing longsword back, the power of fire damage decreased a lot. Jake withstood his ground until the very last moment, and he attacked the lich with flames of Wrath.
Although they were burning the Lich's face, he didn't stop using the spell and eventually made Jake's shield melt. However, Jake threw it at the enemy, and since he was so close, he was unable to dodge it. While being hit by melting iron, the lich was forced to stop while that was eating away his flesh, but things didn't end there. Jake charged at the enemy, who couldn't defend himself anymore, and then pierced his neck with his freezing longsword.
"You move just a bit and you will die, if I move you die as well," Jake said. "Now, you will answer my questions…."
Things didn't go the way Jake had planned… Even in that situation, the lich moved his arm to track him. He had balls if anything, but a small brain since it was clear that that Jake wouldn't let him finish that. In the end, he beheaded the lich, but no notifications came… To make things even weirder, Jake saw the head moving.
p "Fucking gross… You truly are an undead," Jake said.
In the end, Jake split the head in two… But he didn't feel even a bit victorious. He felt like crap. That fight had been truly the worst …
