"He has some powerful reinforcement skill as well…" Jake thought when he finally recovered and saw the enemies just standing and glaring at him while they recovered. "Naturally, they have some innate skills as well, and they are trying to guess mine. They don't know that I have more than one… as such, they will assume that I can just reinforce my body."
Jake truly had two reinforcement skills and one offensive. Still, he had to make good use of that somehow. It didn't seem like he would have much time to think of what he should do, since Jake saw the enemies moving again. He was quite certain that they would run away the moment they realize the potential of Flames of Wrath. Only monsters or enraged individuals would keep fighting against that with their limited health. Those guys were far smarter than that, and it was clear that they had been patiently waiting for him to show an opening to attack. They weren't ordinary humans... so Jake wondered how come they managed to change so much that fast... they only a few months to change, after all.
"I have to take at least one of them down as soon as possible…" Jake thought while he saw those three assuming their formation again.
Although he had some ideas, Jake knew that none of them would work because they would require him to split his skills into different targets. If anything, those guys had a lot of defensive power, so he had to use everything he got to kill one of them as quickly as possible. Jake had an idea on how to solve that… it was a bit dangerous and wasteful, but it might work.
When the first guy charged, Jake pretended that he had his attention split on all of them, but then at the last moment, he turned to face him and raised his sword. At the same time, he made his Flames of Wrath burn the helm that the enemy was wearing making him panic.
Around that time the second guy dashed toward Jake and the third quickly followed him. However, they didn't help their friend on time to save him. While his face and helmet were being consumed by the dark flames, the first guy tried to block Jake's sword strike, but Jake suddenly used Hermes' Blessing, and Thor's Blessing, making his body get yet another boost. His sword cut that guy's head before their weapons could collide…

In the next moment, Jake got hit in the back by the second guy. He probably would have killed him if he had focused on piercing his body instead of trying to split in half, but since he tried that, he failed. Jake's bow decreased the damage before it broke.
Jake recovered in time before he's back could receive much more damage, but he had to assume a defensive stance because the third guy also attacked him. He used the freezing sword alongside the freezing touch to decrease the enemies' weapons when they collided, but Jake still was pushed backward for several meters while he felt his bones cracking.
Before Jake could stop, those two charged at the same time and tried to attack him from different sides. Jake used Explosive Touch by swinging his sword and striking the ground, raising a dust curtain. Those two didn't stop, but they lost sight of Jake and they didn't find him in the center of dust cloud. He had jumped backward and landed when their swords collided.
"I need to buy some time to let the potions heal my bones…" Jake thought while he was drinking a health potion.
Again, the enemies didn't give him time to think of anything as they tried to cut him down again. They sure weren't afraid of Flames of Wrath, but Jake knew that it was because they had confidence in countering it in one way or the other.
While moving away, Jake used Mana Blades to gain some time, but the enemies easily repelled them with their weapons. As expected, endurance was their forte, so Jake was practically wasting time with that.
Before Jake could come up with an answer to that problem, the enemies caught up with him, and even though they knew that he was fast enough to block them, they attacked him at the same time with horizontal strikes. Jake blocked the swords with his own, but he was quickly losing health, his bones were being damaged and his weapon was losing durability. It was clear that they choose the safest path to deal with him…
Jake clicked his tongue in annoyance since he didn't like to dance in the palms of the enemies' hands, so he changed his approach. When those two guys attacked again, he dashed toward them and used the flames of the second guy who seemed to be the weakest. Somehow, he managed to fight it back with his sword and decrease the damage. Jake aimed his sword at his neck and when the third guy tried to take advantage of that, Jake used Cyclone Strike and changed the target of his attack. The enemy was forced to step back and block the sword strike.
? Jake used that chance to attack again. While he took an instant to swing his sword, he ended up kicking the stomach of the third guy and pushing him back a few meters, leaving the second busy with the dark flames. Jake changed his focus to him and then used Bash, but the target actually blocked the sword strike with his own weapon. Jake increased the density of his flames, but that didn't help all that much.
"Shit… I guess letting my magic power stay so low bow is causing problems," Jake thought.
Some enemies could endure that, while only the weak ones couldn't. Jake thought that just leveling up the skill would be enough to power up the skill, but his guess was wrong.
