Jake wasn't certain if his guess was right, but maybe he should talk with Frederick and spread that kind of information. Luke could teleport to many worlds, but that skill must have some limitations. It would be weird if he could go to a place he had never been before…
"I don't owe them anything, but if they manage to deal with the criminals, things will be easier for me, so I should take with him," Jake thought. "In exchange for that kind of information. I will ask him about the requirements of some classes. I doubt that he will be able to refuse, and I will gain a lot from it."
Luke laughed a little while he was left the dungeon. After getting some more essences, Jake used the system and headed to that guild's base, and once again, he saw that the place was pretty busy. To the point that the number of guards was pretty small. If Jake were an enemy, he would choose that moment to attack.
"Is your leader here?" Jake asked. "I might have some Intel for him."
The current guards of the place recognized Jake and nodded. In the end, they let him enter and head to the main building of the place. In the end, Jake finds Frederick in the same place where he found him the first time. Luke wasn't around, probably due to the situation they were dealing with. Still, there was a hooded girl there that seemed like she was using an invisible cellphone. She was probably the telepathy user that Frederick had mentioned.
"You showed up at a not-so-good time," Frederick said. "I heard from your friends about the things that you saw a while ago, so I can't imagine why you came. I thought you disliked this place."
"Yeah, I do, but I discovered something, and I wanted to check if you know that," Jake said. "Do you know how to use the purple crystals?"
,m "... We have yet to discover a way to have the chance to touch the crystal," Frederick said while frowning. "Did you learn how to do that?"
"I guess so. We exchange for that kind of information. I want all the information about how to unlock all the classes that you have discovered thus far," Jake said.
Although only the girl and Frederick were inside the building and had the chance to hear directly what Jake said. He felt like dozens of people had stopped moving around the guild… Jake always found it weird that his presence there was permitted so easily at all times, but now it made sense. The members had some sort of method to keep an eye on the main building and to protect their guild master when necessary. It was probably something devised by Frederick…, or maybe it was related to the telepath's girl power.
"Ha… so it is like that," Jake said and then smirked. "This is good to know."
"... Forgive me for this," Frederick said after sighing and looking at the hooded girl. "Some powerful individuals come here to talk to me now and then, so we have to be careful at times."
"Either way, it is fine. I don't care if you think that I am powerful, weak, trustworthy, or untrustworthy," Jake said. "I don't trust and like you guys as well. I just came to make business because this would benefit me."
The atmosphere got weird again… it seemed that the telepath and those she was passing the content of that conversation were really bad at controlling their feelings and reactions. No one around liked Jake's words or his tone. Still, they couldn't do anything unless he drew his blade.
"So, what are you going to do?" Jake asked.
Frederick stopped to think for a moment. He knew that he couldn't fool Jake with a small list of the classes they knew how to obtain. Still, revealing that much information to the outside seemed rather dangerous. While Jake didn't do anything suspicious until now, he was too self-centered and openly expressed his opinions against guilds. That could damage the reputation of the guilds if he becomes a powerful one-man guild… even if his power continues to help them like it happened some times already.
Meanwhile, Jake could guess what Frederick was thinking. Eventually, he will also consider and think about Jake's actions to come up with the way he discovered that. It shouldn't be difficult, but then Jake would reveal Frederick's true colors to many people. Jake's friends had a lot of potential, but they will come to distrust him, and so do other newbies. It was a gamble, but Frederick decided to take it, even if Jake was also on their watch list as well.
"All right, I accept your deal," Frederick said.
After a while, Frederick grabbed some papers with the intel that Jake wanted. As expected, they focused a lot on gathering intel about many classes… which was one of the merits of having many members. Now and then, they would stumble upon a new class, and the intel would spread among the members. Jake checked the list and found more than a few that he could learn pretty soon, while others required items that could only be obtained in some words.
"I guess this will do it," Jake said.
Jake thought that the telepathy user was a meek girl, but it seemed that his attitude began to annoy her since she wasn't trying to hide her anger anymore. Jake couldn't care less about that, but he wondered why Frederick kept such a child nearby when she couldn't withstand the adults negotiating. In any case, Jake explained how they learned that, and Frederick facepalmed, naturally. It was such a simple thing to do…
"Is that so…" Frederick said. "I suppose it makes sense… the system doesn't give missions like that, so we would have to ignore the system rewards to go to such places."
"Do you think the criminals might be hiding in such worlds?" Jake asked.
