Helena didn't say anything, but it was clear that her anger was rising. She kept making ice spears emerge from the ground and forced king Judas to move back away from the area. Eventually, he realized that her intentions were exactly that… she didn't want to involve the people of her camp in that battle.
A vicious smirk appeared on his face when he thought of that… even those assholes who dared backstab him had things that they couldn't afford to lose. After dealing with those guys so often, king Judas grew tired of treating them with respect… he admired them, and thanks to that admiration, he reached his current level, but now it was time to destroy that admiration and shame them as much as he could. Then, they will feel the same thing that he felt when they made their underlings betray him…
King Judas jumped toward Helena and enhanced his sword with vast amounts of mana. Helena flew to the side to escape the attack, but that didn't change the direction of his attack. A shiver ran down Helena's back when she realized that king Judas was aiming at her camp… an attack of his could easily destroy that region if he wished for it.
Without any other choice, she hurried to block the attack… unfortunately, she only had a single thing in her arsenal that could stop his attacks, and it was something that she hated. Still, she summoned a massive wall of dark flames to block the massive Mana Blade that king Judas fired…
A massive explosion happened that pushed King Judas and Helena away from each other happened when their skills collided. Despite that, king Judas sure looked pleased. It was hard to tell if he was pleased with the battle or if he liked the despair on Helena's face. In the distance, some soldiers were already approaching the battle, and her impatience only grew stronger.
Helena's soldiers were stupidly loyal, to the point that they wouldn't hesitate to throw away their lives if they found their leader in danger. Meanwhile, Helena only wanted them to survive… that wasn't possible if they picked a fight with king Judas. Not even Helena could protect them against him, even if she used his flames…
Helena summoned some spears using her dark flames and then flew to attack king Judas. She fired the first few ones at him, but he jumped around to dodge them in quick succession… if she couldn't hit him with direct attacks, her best option was to use indirect ones. Moreover, those would force him to move away… So, she made the spears move in front of her, and then she used Ice Breath.
King Judas frowned when he saw the Dark Ice Breath. He had heard rumors about it, but the energy he fell on it seemed a lot more powerful… in any case, he ran backward while looking at the ground that had been damaged by the combo. All the plants became dust instantly, and the ground became frozen solid, covered by an ominous layer of dark ice.
"I see… that is the ice that freezes everything instantly," king Judas thought. "One mistake and people around might become frozen statues of ice… No wonder she didn't use that before."
Helena kept using that combination and forced king Judas to move away from the area, but she could tell that he was messing with her. He didn't look even a bit worried while she looked at one of her best combinations. In fact, he looked pleased since she was wasting mana without causing damage.
When Helena relaxed for a moment, King Judas turned around and bombarded her with Mana Blades. She cursed her own carelessness since the attacks caused explosions and made her lose sight of him for a second. While she could feel his presence, it was hard to do that kind of thing while her dark flames were around.
Helena created several dark flame shields around her to protect herself, but when the smoke disappeared, she saw king Judas behind her and prepared to attack the camp again. Helena hurried to summon a wall of dark flames to block his path while she fired another dark flames spear toward him. However, king Judas dodged to the side and then turn his body toward her.
Everything had just been a trap to make her misuse her skills… king Judas jumped toward her and approached at insane speeds. Helena began to fly away while raising another wall of dark flames when king Judas began to swing his sword. However, the flames made her feel like her head was splitting… in the end, she only summoned a small amount, but then she made them cover king Judas' body.
While feeling his health being sealed, king Judas ignored the pain and damage and attacked Helena. She ended up protecting herself with her arms after enhancing them with a thick layer of ice, but then still ended up being cut quite deeply.
Helena was sent flying to the ground while making a pained expression. She immediately healed herself, but that only offered temporary relief. While she was healing herself, king Judas got rid of the dark flames. Helena saw him purge his mana through the burned parts, and then that made the flames move from his body as well.
"I guess taking you down won't be that simple," King Judas said while getting rid of the dirt on his body. "Making you despair a bit more sounds interesting, but I have things to do. Since you guys are stupid and can't be relied on, all the heavy lifting is in my hands."
King Judas raised his sword, and then the weapon absorbed all of his mana and some from the environment almost instantly, making it grow up to twenty meters in a matter of seconds. Helena panicked and fired the dark flames spears at him. She couldn't let him amass any more energy. Otherwise, the next attack will destroy the entire area.
However, he just moved his sword a bit and blocked them completely. The spears practically evaporated instantly. Not even her power could do a single thing about that technique… Helena hurried to keep attacking, but nothing changed. In fact, her attacks made the massive sword grow larger… she never saw a technique that blocked and absorbed the power of the attack of the enemies.
"Hasta luego," King Judas said and then swung down his sword.
"WAIT!" Helena shouted from the depths of her soul.
