In the end, Leon managed to learn Fire Immunity after allocating ten thousand points in his mentality. As expected, that passive skill also had a requirement in status.
"Let's see if I can use learn the other passive skills..." Leon said and then started his experiments.

Even though he tried to learn it for quite a while, Leon didn't learn Illusion Immunity, Sleep Immunity, and Gravity Immunity... most likely, those were impossible to learn, or they could be trouble for their users, so the system didn't recognize them.
"As expected, even with those immunities, I can still suffer elemental damage..." Leon rubbed his chin. "I need to make some tests, but I guess those skills decrease the power of elemental by one hundred points per level."
It would be difficult to test that on himself, but Leon was also pretty sure that, for example, instead of decreasing the power, Fire Resistance decreased the damage caused by spells by ten points per level. Meaning, at the max level, Fire Resistance now could nullify ten thousand points of harm to any fire-related attack. Meanwhile, Fire Immunity could become ten times more efficient... that would explain the mentality requirement.
"I suppose to learn Elemental Absorption; I will have to increase my mentality and also level up my elemental immunities to the max level..." Leon dropped his shoulders and then sighed. "Still, something is off... I found certain monsters with that kind of skill, but they didn't have a high mentality... More and more, it is becoming certain that monsters work in a different system. At least in terms of status and skills."
Regardless, after so much literal painful grinding, Leon decided to train those new passive skills slowly. He still would have to stay at least two more thousand years in that dimension, so there was no need to rush. Even though it was a bit troublesome that learning how to absorb spell became a medium-term goal, it was a goal that was bound to be reached.
Although Leon decided to take it easy in punishing himself, for the time being, he ended up letting himself get wounded to obtain some sweet, sweet status points. The elemental resistances were at a low level, after all. It was the best moment to gain status using them.
"With my Elemental Immunities, the damage caused by small fry will decrease and perhaps even disappear altogether," Leon concluded. "Unless I use some buffs on my summoned monsters, they eventually won't cause damage to me anymore... It looks like all my roads lead to self-harm."
Leon did some tests, and even though the immunities were at a low-level, only monsters that were above the third level of assimilation could scratch Leon. The increased mentality was helping with that, but Leon felt satisfied with his progress nonetheless.
Leon frowned when he saw several giant hands appearing out of nowhere to attack him. Although Mana Armor protected him, it didn't change the fact that he got caught by surprise. However, once he activated Mana Eyes, he clearly found his new targets. Even though they were using Invisibility, Leon could clearly see a group of humanoid creatures that had wings and horns.
"Demons?" Leon frowned. "They don't look that dangerous."
It looked like those were a variation of the ones Leon faced before. They were smarter and far calmer. Regardless, they tried to kill Leon using a sneak attack, so he didn't hesitate to kill them.

After a while, Leon finally learned their attacks, but he frowned when he tried to create some variations. Those elemental attacks had the shape of a massive hand, but instead of attacking the targets with a punch, it only slapped the target. Leon tried to create the punch version of that skill, but the system didn't recognize it.
"Well, that kind of thing happens sometimes..." Leon said.
Leon analyzed that species of monsters hoping that they would teach him some more interesting spells, but he didn't find any in their skill list. Fortunately, those four spells could generate the other four, so for the time being, Leon was okay with it.
In any case, while Leon was leveling up those skills, he finally found another expensive spell worth of the hassle... Mindscape Transportation. With that skill, Leon could transport his enemies to a place created by his mind, and Leon would have full control over the events and rules of such a place. Thanks to that, Leon understood that was the skill Sekundez used... it was a very useful spell, but as expected, the price was very high... Leon would have to spend another one trillion coins.
