"Hey... this isn't fair," Leon said, shocked.
What wouldn't be fair was the fact that dragons may have a limit of how strong they could get while other species like humans didnt. Still, Leon couldn't help but feel like that was some kind of bullshit. The level of the fire dragons didn't increase, but all the skills Leon could see reached the level max, and they even obtained Fire Blessing. A passive skill that was only granted by those who met Efreet's fragment.
In any case, that was a very bad sign... if dragons were the last creatures, Leon would have to face there, and their status and skills would grow like that... eventually, he would be decimated by them. That dimension was already small to begin with, so eventually, they would become powerful to destroy anything in it.
"When Ilyana mentioned that the planets would become near indestructible once they reach the fifth stage of assimilation, I thought it was bullshit," Leon bit his lips. "But considering that those creatures are bound to appear, it is only evident that such a thing is necessary. A group of ten even growing dragons could easily destroy earth in a few months if they don't stop getting strong, after all."
The situation wasn't so bad because Leon still could obtain coins and drain their mana, but even so. Everything has a limit... eventually, Leon wouldn't be able to keep increasing his intelligence faster than the dragons' health increase. Or even worse, they would find a way to counter his Mana Concealment, and he would die for lack of sleep. That would be a pathetic end for someone who kept himself sane after centuries of solitude and after killing almost one million dragons.
"Well, first things first... kill the first group of dragons," Leon said. "I can worry about this situation later."
Although Leon had decided to use his replica, this time, he just used Transfer and appeared above one of the dragons and started to drain their mana directly. It was better to do that and drain their mana directly to attack the others at the same time, but much to Leon's surprise, the fire dragon, resisted Mana Absorption.
"What is this time?" Leon clicked his tongue.
It looked like his targets could resist, and Leon only noticed that because he never tried to use Mana Absorption in creatures like dragons. In the end, he had to rely on his replica until his mana corrupt trees give him some mana fruits.
Usually, a dragon's corpse would appear one second after he moved it to his imaginary dimension, but this time it took double of that amount. The same thing happened again nine times, so Leon went to that dimension to assimilate the memories of his replica.

Leon saw the very moment the fire dragons appeared in his imaginary dimension. As if every single of them had been expecting for that, they attacked the replica using their Fire Dragon Wings in rapid succession. The replica couldn't approach since those wings were flapping, and the dragons could as well use to attack him if he gets too close... so his replica ended up using Plasma Lances and faced the dragons directly in a battle of attrition.
In the end, Plasma Lances won the battle against the innumerous magic projectiles launched by the Fire Dragon Wings, but the replica used a lot more mana to protect itself and to kill the beast.
"Just what the hell is going here..." Leon bit his nails.
After thinking for a while, Leon thought a few possibilities. Maybe those dragons can share between themselves a single mind, and that would explain why the fire dragons were readied to attack Leon's replica. Leon would have to analyze their passive skills, but it wouldn't be all that weird that they obtained the power to share their experiences with others. However, that was weird because Leon killed all the fire dragons before they could think of that.
There was also the possibility that Sekundez herself transmitted that memory to the dragons, but that would also be weird considering that she said that time would pass really fast in that dimension in comparison to reality. Maybe she lied, and time didn't pass there faster, but why? What would such spirit gain by lying to him?
"... What a headache," Leon said after a long sigh.
In the end, Leon accepted some risks and didn't think of the consequences. He was in a dimension where Sekundez was basically a goddess. Although he lived there for almost four hundred years and nothing weird happened that could threaten his life, Leon couldn't just wait for the end of the trial any longer. He was in a convenient dimension where he could stronger for only Sekundez know how long, but until he confirms certain things, he would never be able to focus.
"Maybe it is a bit soon... but it is time to leave this place," Leon decided.
