Sitting on the chairs the man had given them, Noah's eyes would occasionally glance at their sitting figures. He could see their mouths move but not even the slightest sound escaped the small area.
Noah had thought of spreading his consciousness, but he dismissed that thought, since his last encounter with a tier 3 expert showed him that their mental waves could feel when another consciousness interacted with theirs.
The talk continued for a while, as the group sat in silence inspecting the room. The room or office itself wasn't that big, but simply had a lot of lights and the singular chair and table which belonged to the owner.
Eventually the two stood, then Noah could hear their voices. The man's eye fell on Noah figure, as Noah couldn't help but be a bit surprised, it seemed Augustus had told him a bit about him.
"It's been a while but you've come to the end of this mission," Augustus performed a professional bow.
The other's all bowed in return, "And as promised a triple of your initial pay," He added, waving his hand and a big bag of coins fell on the floor.
Then Augustus opened it, and began handing over to them smaller bags, it seemed he had distributed it beforehand.
Noah counted the coins inside the bag handed over to him, but surprise filled his mind when his consciousness counted more than 30 small silver coins, actually there were 50 inside of it.
Noah's gaze tried to meet Augustus's, but the man ignored it. He could only keep it to himself at that point. Though Augustus had eventually asked for Luke's space ring, after Noah had managed to salvage 20 more silver coins.
This bonus or so, put his current purse at 136 small silver coins!. The faces of the others brightened up after they received thier pay, Mona heaved a sigh when she received hers, it seemed a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.
"I thank you all, for protecting my dear friend. I am Sir Malachi and goodbye to you all," the man said with a smile.
Augustus gestured at them to leave, but when Noah was about exiting the office. He felt a force hold on to him, he didn't like it and he showed it on his face.
James tried to say something, but the door got shut on his face before he could. The force let go of him at that point, "I'm very sorry, it's just I have something to say to you," Sir Malachi said.
A frown spread on Noah face, although he nodded. "I would like to offer you a job at--," Sir Malachi said.
"No. Thank you," Noah cut the expert short. "I have no interest in working for you," Noah stated with resolve.
Sir Malachi's face went from surprise to a frown, "....But you haven't even heard my offer," he stated.
"I don't have too," Noah nodded. "Augustus told you about me, and you want to shoot your shot, but no," He added,
A laugh resounded out of Augustus's mouth at that point, "I told you.....He is different from the masses. He even has an invitation from the one of the three great guilds," Augustus said.
"You didn't tell me that!," Sir Malachi exclamained at Augustus who burst into laughter.
"Ehm.... I'm sorry for delaying you, Please forgive me. Just know that my offer still stands," Sir Malachi said handing a card over to Noah.
Receiving and storing the card, Noah performed a bow and left the whole building.
On getting outside, Noah couldn't help but glance at the whole size of the building, and his memory of what was inside. He shook his head in wonder.
Seeing that the others hadn't left, but banded outside the building, Noah walked over to them.
"It was a pleasure meeting you, I hope we meet again sometimes," Bern said with a bow, and left.
An eyebrow on Noah's face rose at that gesture. "Like Bernny, I hope we do meet again," Jessica said while she also took her leave.
Silence fell on the remaining three, they didn't know what the say, until Noah spoke up, "You mentioned you were going to meet a guild agent,"
"Yeah, I am. I just.....no I think they all wanted to say thank you. None of us would be here if you hadn't pulled a new trick out your sleeve," Mona laughed.
Noah simply smiled and replied, "You are welcomed," he said. "I do hope we meet when we get stronger." Mona bowed and left at that point.
A few seconds of silence passed, as memories of the past twenty days filled their mind.
"So what do we do?," Noah asked looking around, still admiring the fresh environment.
"Frankly I don't know," James sighed. "All I planned was to get here just before Bozolom. And now we are here," James added, dispersing a mist that had formed in front of him.
Noah shook his head, "It as good thing, I overheard a few discussions on the matter," he said.
During their long stay on the line of people, Noah had managed to eaves drop on more conversations. He found out that apparently, bozolom was to start, just a week from today. Which gave the two a bit of time to get to know a bit about the city.
He even got to know where the registration to enter for bozolom would be, or rather he knew it's name.
Apart from that he heard people talk about a strange event that happened the week before, the conversation stated that the travellers saw hordes of beasts moving towards a particular direction.
He also heard a few others things but they mostly didn't pertain to their current situation.
"So do you think we can get a map of the whole place?," James said while they walked in the street going nowhere in particular
"There should be a shop like that... Let's see if we can find anything," Noah said.
They both walked for multiple minutes, the streets of Crilion were easy to understand, but almost everywhere looked the same.
They eventually found a shop with those services, and got a map of the whole Crilion, with a few important highlights, for 3 large Coppers which is equivalent to 300 small copper coins.
This may sound small, but when you compare it to the fact that, in Mariwa a weapon cost around that price, but here he was only getting a map!.
Although it turned out that they could return to update the map just for 5 small coppers, Noah doubted he would stay there for long since he was only there for bozolom.
After they had gotten the map, they explored the city a bit, even eating food there, which tasted incredible, but a plate cost them over 300 small coppers, compared to the around 30 to 50 of Vonol.
Eventually night came, then did Noah and James see the true beauty of the city.
The night sky was filled with stars, but the environment had shiny multicolored light particles that danced around, then disappeared a few seconds later but there were thousands of them around.
The scenery was the most beautiful thing Noah had ever seen so far. It truly made him understand again, that he was really in a different world filled with amazing things.
After spending a bit more than half an hour admiring that scene, they went to the hotel they had found during their tour of just a part of the city.
The building was a three storey, but had a lot of blue lights around it, which lit up it's environment. The insides of the building, was actually spectacular, but that sight didn't bring the least shred of joy to Noah.
Though he and Luke had been sharing the pay of everything they bought, it didn't change the fact that this place that had gotten to, was a trap to make you spend all your money.
The insides featured a ground hall, where tables and chairs could be seen, there were three balconies to be exact, inside the building, and many doors could be seen on each floor.
And once again, the place was bigger than it's outsides.
Walking up to the reception or so, ignoring the multiple stares of finely clothed individuals. Noah booked a room for both he had James, and it cost them 1 small silver and 5 large copper coins.
The price shook them, but they still paid it. Although Noah vowed to bring the whole place down if their facilities, and food weren't good enough.
The receptionist who was a woman, gave them a key, and a male guard or so, walked them to their rooms, since they were new there.
And to Noahand James's surprise the place was beautiful. The room was brightly lit with white lights, it featured two beds, a bathroom and what looked like an air conditioner since the whole place felt cool.
All of a sudden Noah didn't care about the price of the lodge, after all according to the lady this was just a low grade room.
James had his bath first then Noah, who enjoyed every single second of it, after all he hadn't taken his bath in over two weeks.
Exiting the bathroom with a relaxed sigh, Noah sat on the white sheeted bed, wore only his trousers like James did, and lay on the bed. A few seconds of silence passed, before Noah's voice rang out.
"There's this question I've wanted to ask for a while now,".
