Noah remained speechless for a few seconds, but the reality of what he was to do, soon dawned on him.
"Show it my accomplishments. Make it see worth in me," Noah muttered straightening his back, and closing his eyes.
His consciousness directly travelled to his soul realm, his feet landing on his island.
Walking towards the black core which had multicolored lights swirling around it, Noah stood before it, while he wondered on what to do.
"Am I simply supposed to play my memories and transmit my emotions to the energy in the room, or does my soul core have the ability to project images on its own?," Noah muttered with a solemn expression.
Truth be told he felt a little nervous about the whole situation, as doubts gradually piled up in his mind.
Questions like 'am I going to succeed? do I have the potential? is it even going to listen to me?,' rose in Noah's mind even after he tried his best to stop them.
Noah saw himself sighing in his soul realm, his eyes falling on the seemingly endless white environment, while his island only covered a miniscule portion of that environment.
Thoughts of how the whole thing was even possible calmed his mind down, curiosity reigning in his mind.
"Do I even have anything worth calling an achievement," Noah muttered, unknown to him his thoughts and the emotions he experienced were currently being transmitted into the energy-filled room.
"I've barely been able to do anything so far. If not for the cheat i have access to i would barely be average In terms of strength."
"Should I even have been sent to another world? The rules that govern this realm are far different from what I know. Chances are, that i might have been a mistake," Noah muttered, a sense of defeat spreading in his mind, and beyond it.
"But it happened twice," Noah suddenly said, "There had to have been a reason," Noah added as a sense of confidence replaced the momentary sadness.
"I even managed to escape a few life and death situations," Noah giggled, "Though it was through the help of things I had been given, it doesn't change the fact that I utilized them to fit my situation," Noah smiled.
"But are those achievements enough," he muttered, as scenes of his past dangerous situation played in his mind, Noah's consciousness being able to watch those scenes on projections made by his soul core.
The scenes eventually ended after what felt like a two hours, while a helpless sigh escaped Noah's mouth.
"I don't have what it takes currently," Noah eventually decided, "But you can help me achieve greater things," Noah suddenly spoke, his consciousness returning to his body.
"With your power, which I still do not fully understand; you can take me to heights only the best geniuses can achieve or probably even more," Noah found himself transmitting his thoughts to the energy around him, a sense of personal peace taking over his mind, as his mental state transformed.
"I need you more than you need me. Without you I'll continue to remain unworthy."
"Yes I know my current state is due to my decisions, but you can help me, and i acknowledge that," Noah said, a light of understanding dawning on his mind.
The more he let his thoughts loose, the more he understood the words on the books first page.
"Those who wish to obtain power, must give in to speed," Noah muttered, a few changes beginning to happen around him, "I give in!."
A heavy silence suddenly fell on the whole room. Noah finalizing his thoughts and decision, a few doubts even starting to sprout after a minute had passed since his confession.
A sigh was about to leave his mouth, when all the energy in the room suddenly trembled, Noah himself feeling the energy in his spherical core spin in excitement.
The yellow fog which was the speed essence began to swirl madly around him, the movement soon resembling a cyclone, with Noah at its center.
Contrary to his expectations, Noah didn't feel uncomfortable in that environment, he felt at peace being in the middle of that spinning storm
"It seems you've answered," Noah's voice suddenly spread in the whole room, his figure standing up, as a smile gradually appeared on his face.
"Let's test that," he muttered while excitement filled his mind, the cyclone picking up in speed, until Noah couldn't see past the length of his forearm.
Nevertheless, his consciousness still exploded outwards, an intense aura spreading in the whole place, "Bow to me!," Noah commanded, while the energy around him resonated to his will, the cyclone instantly stopping!
That event left him slightly surprised, but it hinted something that he didn't hesitate to try.
He commanded a portion of the energy surrounding him to move towards his body, genuine shock spreading in his mind when he realized that before he could actually finish his thoughts most of the energy and slammed his body, sending him flying.
But his body suddenly stopped moving before he could hit the wall, a dense cloud of yellow energy had stopped his movement.
[You have gained UNIQUE INNATE ABILITY: SPEED ESSENCE MANIPULATION]
[You connection with the speed force has increased from 2% to 15%]
Noah read the panels contents with slight curiosity, he recalled the words 'connecrion to the speed force' being used by the system a while back.
Placing his feet on the ground, Noah's mind moved to test his new ability even, more.
Rasing his right hand, Noah watched as energy swirled around that limb, and to his shock, he felt his right hand get far stronger than it normally was, but at the cost of the energy around him, which the runes on the walls quickly re-filled
Stopping that demonstration, Noah watched his right arm lose its empowerment, a bit of understanding flowing into his mind.
'What exactly does the speed force energy do that Mana can't?,' Noah asked the system which had been silent for a while now.
[You currently do not have access to that information]
Noah clicked his tongue at those words, but it didn't really bother him, after all he had managed to succeed in controlling the speed forces's' energy.
'What is a unique innate ability?,' Noah asked the system, hoping he had access to that information, luckily for him a panel pooped up.
[[It's an ability that is ingrained inside of you, meaning it wasn't derived from me, nor can I take it away. Think of it like your personality. I didn't give it to you neither can I take it from you]]
Noah nod his head in understanding, 'So what about my other skills, can you take them away?,'
[[Yes I can. Though if you managed to learn replicate the exact same effects using your elemental mastery; taking it from you would be pointless, as it would be a knowledge that would remain part of you]]
"I see," Noah muttered in response, 'So does that mean it's advisable to begin learning to replicate the skills myself?.'
[[Naturally it is, since if you did you'll be able to control the amount of energy poured into a spell, and would be able to use them on a smaller scale. But since the chances of me needing to remove your skills are 0 it isn't necessary]]
[[You have the basic knowledge of all your skills, but to be able to replicate them would mean higher elemental mastery, and a refined expertise in the the energy you wield, moreover it would mean spending decades practicing]]
'Thank you,' Noah responded. He had another question; which was if he could increase his elemental mastery without the system. But from its explanation he understood that he could do that, which was by constantly practicing, but that method would take him a long time, and too much time he currently didn't have
From the system's explanation Noah could see how the system was created to make his rise to power quick.
Walking back to the golden book, Noah sat cross-legged again. It was time to complete the basics of his body cultivation method.
