Chapter 161 161. BLACK ARMY

Glancing down a small cliff which had short trees growing a top it, Noah gazed at the grassy plain before him.

Kilometers of land stretching out as far as the eye could see, giving the scene a serene vibe.

The green colour of the plain struck Noah's sense's as something beautiful, and he didn't hesitate to Inspect every wave of the grass in the winds. His calculating mind expressing its joy at that scenery.

Taking a deep breath, Noah exahaled softly, he could get used to views like that, as they shew him the immenseness and breath-taking beauty of the new world.

All that changed when an explosion resounded behind him, sending large pieces of tree barks, and chunks of the ground everywhere.

Clicking his to tongue at that sound, Noah, without bothering to look back, caused ice to spread beneath his feet.

Most of the cliff's structure instantly froze at that simple action, causing confusion for his beastly attackers.

Turning back sharply, Noah grabbed the head of the buffalo like creature barreling towards him, his fingers sinking into its furry face.

Rotating his waist in one sharp movement, Noah sent the beasts figure down the over 190ft cliff, then he shot downwards with it.

Loud cracking sound's engulfed the sounds of the beasts powerful growls, as the cliffs' frozen portion broke off at Noah's powerful descent.

His mind didn't focus on those details, his feet soon touching the beasts belly. The duo smashed into the grassy grounds with a powerful force, and the frozen chunks of land crashed on them.

'Stupid,' Noah clicked his tongue sprinting out of the danger zone. His feet had dug deep into the beasts belly, but it wasn't dead. Hopefully the cliff would finish the job, but he doubted that possibility.

A tier 3 beast couldn't be killed so easily.

However, his mind had dropped that matter and moved to the next. Five tier 3 beasts soon burst out from the bunch of trees surrounding the cliff to smash into his figure, and he didn't hesitate to summon Muillix.

Their blows only managed to move him backwards by a few centimeters, but he had utilized an ability of Muliix, which he had never used, up until now.

Noah felt an immense quantity of raw power move through his muscles. Muliix's dark material lighting up with a blue colour as he utilized "Shock absorber"

[Shock absorber: When physically attacked; the armour absorbs the sheer force and direct it towards the owner to utilize; doubling it when outputted. Due to your body currently being glass-stage tier 3, it is advised that you avoid using this ability when attacked by metal-stage tier 3's, to prevent your body from getting damaged, for you could outright die from too much power]

His fists barreled outwards, and the head and chest of a flaming leaopard and a large brown bear, directly exploded, immediately killing them.

Two octahedral red mana cores exited the beasts' dead figures, and he quickly stored them. Their bodies disappearing an instant later.

Utilizing the remaining foreign power in his body, Noah kicked the ground; and it shattered. Sending large bits of the ground into the air.

The remaining beasts fled his figure, but remained nearby. 'Why are they even working together,' Noah wondered. He had sensed their presences immediately he exited the forest.

Now that he thought about it, travellers didn't utilize the path. Only he being the one that ventured into it. The place seemed populated with powerful beasts.

'I guess they need to feed,' Noah concluded Inspecting Muliix.

His first time actually utilizing one of its abilities had proved successful. Thinking about it, Muliix should have gained more abilities when he advanced into tier 3. He just hadn't checked.

Opening his stats, he scrolled down to the 'Soul bond' section. Choosing Muliix he opened its Information, and soon spotted the abilities that had the 'new' tag.

"Why wasn't I informed about the new abilities," Noah questioned the system.

[[You were informed. You simply died during that period. It naturally got deleted]]

Nodding his head at the response he checked the new abilities.

[Spherical defense: As 'Muliix' is made for protecting its wearer; it gains the ability to shed itself and create a spherical defensive area, with the wielder within it.

With each hit the armor endures, a bit of the wielders stamina is chipped of. As long as the attacks aren't far powerful than the wielder, they should be okay]

[Note: Sub-abilities shall be unlocked when the user achieves tier 4]

An eyebrow rose on Noah's face at that description, the new ability didn't seem like something useful, or that he would need to use.

He was simply too fast to really need it. He would run if he had the unfortunate opportunity of encountering an individual that could end his life in a singular exchange of attacks.

Nevertheless, he tried it out.

Particles of Muliix's material sepearated from the main suit, and went on to form a ball around his figure. But Muliix itself remained on Noah's body, the sphere only being an extension.

Darkness enveloped his senses, but he could expand his consciousness, and the sight stunned him.

He resembled a large black metallic orb sitting in the midst of that grassy plain. The orbs surface saw yellow lights rapidly moving across it.

The three magical beast around him; a blue-green serpent over 25/4ft in size, a large rock-skinned badger, and a deer with heavily flaming horns, watched this scene play out. Curiosity inevitably filling their wild minds.

A series of spells soon struck Noah's defense.

A wave of blue liquid shot towards the orb, then the earth surrounding the orb gave rise to tens of large stakes which tried to pierce the object, but failed.

An orange beam of fire shot out of the deers horns and collided with the orb after the two spells failed. The attack sent the 15m large object flying backwards.

Noah felt and saw his defense move backwards and slam into the cliff behind them, bringing more of it down.

A mild sense of weakness spread in his mind at that point, his body felt like it had lost something to the attacks.

The ability wasn't exactly very useful, but if he were ever surrounded by equally powerful beings as him, he would utilize it. But Noah doubted the possibility of such a situation.

With a nod, Noah decided to check the next ability, while the beasts tried their best to break into his armour.

[Illusory army: Being bonded with <Entity: Noah> Muliix has access to his mental capabilities. When activated, Muliix creates multiple illusions of itself. Its limits being as far as the wielder wants it, as long the space is within the range of their consciousness.

The tangibility of the illusions increase as the wielders power Increases]

Noah felt a wave of disappointment at the ability's description. Actually, both abilities weren't groundbreaking enough for him. Both falling into the mediocre realm to him.

A few tens of attacks had landed on the extended Muliix at that point, and his body had begun to feel fatigued.

A tiny amount of essence eventually spread through his body eradicating that feeling.

With a disappointed sigh, Noah deactivated the 'spherical defense' ability, and three different spells tried to reach him.

With one command, Noah activated the enhancements of the speed force.

Noah watched his environment halt its movement, and he simply took a few steps forward. He didn't want to waste a significant amount of essence dodging those weak spells.

Exiting the spells range, Noah activated the new ability after expanding his consciousness to its limit.

In the twinkle of an eye, the plain manifested with hundreds to a few thousand black figures, all radiating Noah's Intense power!

It looked as though he had summoned a whole army to that spot, and the surrounding areas of the plain trembled at the grandeur of that scene.
