Deafening silence prevailed within the now enclosed box featuring mana-bulbs. The sudden turn of events had really placed tension in their minds, and they could only hope things worked out.
They all could feel the box remain in motion, but where it was headed remained unknown.
It had been hours or a day since the event. And they were sure that the four tier 4 beast would have already been killed. But why hadn't their guides returned.
Switching to the outside world, the sky saw hundreds of high-speed objects shoot through the sky, leaving in their wake streaks of golden light.
Each box housed a group of set Individuals who had different personalities and ambitions, but their moods currently could be classified as similar.
Some had light chats mostly about the fight and what exactly was going on, while most stayed silent amongst themselves.
The event that occurred had been too sudden; even traumatizing. At least for those who witnessed their mount riders turn into meat pastes expecting similar fates to befall them.
However, during the battle, all tier 4 experts 17 in number, had decided amonst themselves to activate a function in which they formerly planned on activating when their destination was only a few hundred miles from their position.
The function saw the inscribed boxes activating the auto pilot mode, which would travel towards the direction of the singnal meant specifically for them.
However this would only be capable of working when they were within a particular range, which was one of the reasons it hadn't been activated at the first sign of danger.
Thankfully that requirement had been met, even if barely.
A few hours had to pass for the aspirants, before there was a change in that monotonous event.
Feeling the box suddenly jerk sideways, Noah furrowed his brows at the sudden rumbling the entirety of the box experienced, forcing him to grab unto his seat-belt.
The rumbling got more violent, as it seemed something had smashed into the box.
Occasionally their box would randomly tilt sideways. Or something would violently shake it from beneath them.
This set of events continued for many minutes. Worry soon beginning to pile up inside Noah's mind.
He couldn't see what was going on outside, since his mental waves weren't capable of bypassing the box's material.
A powerful force suddenly pushed on the box and the roof immediately featured a bump.
Noah raised his eyes to stare at that damage in utter shock.
The attacks of tier 4 entities, although distant, hadn't scratched it. What exactly was going on outside, they wondered.
However contrary to their expectations, everything suddenly stopped.
Their box's movement experienced no disturbance, and a sense of uncertainty couldn't help but spread Inside their minds.
Everyone nervously exchanged glances, their eyes except Noah's, featuring tinges of fear.
'There definitely can't be anything to worry about....' Noah thought, trying to make sense of what was happening.
Before anyone could crack under the influence of their growing fear, a bright white light suddenly shone on their faces, from outside.
Untold shock flickered unto their faces to make that body part its rent-free home.
And the sight of individuals dressed in black graments featuring golden stripes further left them in wonder, but this time their minds relaxed.
"You've safely arrived at the Divine Lightning guild, aspirants," a black haired, young-looking female, radiating power well at the peak of the middle-stage, annouced with a smile.
Noah felt his arms slouch in relief at those words, and the sight of a rectangular space opening in that box placed his heart in full calm.
He had been ready to use his strongest skill if he had been in mortal danger, but it seemed there wasn't any need for that.
"Kindly step out," the lady said, after a minute or so of silence. Which was to allow their safety properly sink in.
Quickly getting out of the box, Noah felt a wave of astonishment hit him when he laid eyes on the hundreds of boxes on a row of two each, stretch down an incredibly long and fully lit metallic hallway of sorts.
There was a group of two male individuals, one having brown hair and the other black, welcoming their group with a smile.
Both were gesturing at the door shaped space shimmering with red lights on its edges directly opened on the metallic wall before them. And the duo's actions inevitably pulled their eyes towards it.
The door was clearly made as a result of Inscriptions or whatever advanced practice that guild owned, but no one really cared.
Noah's group of 43 Individuals walked past the magical door, none complaining about the pressure that slammed into their minds upon entry.
"This will be your room," one of the two males leading them, said. The other walking deeper into that large room to do something.
Sweeping his gaze on the room, Noah felt totally unmoved when his eyes fell on a large room worthy of 5-star hotel.
He couldn't even begin listing out the luxurious features it had, since his mind had gone blank when a realization hit him.
'Where will the women stay," Noah wondered glancing at the 13 females in the group.
The ladies of the group seemed to realize the same thing, since difficult expressions appeared on their faces.
The men in that group were more than double their number. Fear of being defiled even if they remained some of the more powerful and experienced experts, rose inside their minds.
However before anyone could voice out a complaint, a wall slowly emerged from the ground, splitting the room into two equal halves.
One metallic door present in the center of the wall.
"You are capable of splitting the room into parts to allow privacy for the opposite sex. You can also move the beds to accomodate your numbers on one side," the expert that had walked into the room explained with his voice raised. Before eventually bringing the wall down.
Over the next period of around twenty minutes, they were basically taken on a tour inside that room. The obvious guild-members of the Divine Lightning guild explaining the different functions of that room.
'Is this even allowed to be called a room. More like a smart safe house,' Noah thought in digust, when one of their guides explained how the room could withstand tier 4 attacks.
The contrast between the advancement in that mere room and cities like Vonol or even Crilion was wide. It felt weird to even think they were in the same country.
"That is all," the brown-haired man spoke. "Due to the unintended event, you all have been given a day to rest. The compe.....screening process begins the day after tomorrow," the young man announced, his words raising multiple eyebrows.
"You will all be summoned the day after tomorrow. Do not forget; you are to stay inside this room until told otherwise," the black haired member added, before the duo walked out the still opened magical doorway. And it immediately closed upon their exit.
Needless to say, the room fell into an awkward silence.
Notwithstanding, someone suddenly started giggling. His giggling soon turning into hard laughter.
Not understanding why the individual was laughing, everyone present soon found themselves chuckling, their chuckles also turning into laughter.
The room soon got filled with their loud, unintentional and uncontrollable laughter. Allowing all their pent up tension quickly vanish.
