Noah felt his eyes snap open and he quickly sat up. His nostrils pulled in the air around him, and the amount of air within his room seemed to decrease drastically, as his action even pulled the curtains up.

He blinked his eyes and quickly felt his memories wash into his eyes.

The process of advancing had been strange. His consciousness had been unfolded, but unlike normal sleep where he remained able to still notice the events around him; everything had been black.

He had experienced the most dreamless state he could ever imagine and the event continued to feel weird to him.

Noah soon focused on his body and immediately noticed the changes. He felt an incredible amount of power flowing through his body as he felt certain that his might had increased drastically. His skin looked and felt denser than before, and the light in the room allowed it to glisten.

The changes on his skin were mostly qualitative as one would expect. Its quality stood well into the middle stage. The amount of speed essence his body could withstand had increased, and due to that, he could understand that his reckless fighting style would have to be reduced.

He soon shifted the focus to his speedcore, and this time he noticed significant changes. His core had shrunk. Even so that it looked nothing like he remembered. It measured no more than 2 inches in size, but the quality of essence within it had clearly changed.

The essence within it was still in rank 2, but its quality had increased, and it had also gotten denser. Due to this reality, his core was almost empty. His speed core had also become triangular and its color had stopped being black, as it was now a healthy gray color. 'I'll be doing tests on that later,' Noah concluded moving to his mind.

Feeling his consciousness get sucked into his head. Noah felt himself arrive in a different environment. He stood high above his soul island and gazed at it with a tinge of joy.

His island had gotten wider. Spanning a bit over 9kilomters in radius. It was a proper island. It had also gotten denser and far sturdier than before, as the same high-quality rank 2 Speed Essence coursed through the now numerous rivers, streams, and even ponds.

Not much had changed apart from its size and quality. Not even his soul core looked different. Nothing new was available to him after all. Notwithstanding, he felt glad about the advancement, after all, it brought him closer to a level of strength that not many held in their nation, even if it could be different in other ones.

Noah returned to his body and called upon his Energy stone. He soon adopted a cross-legged position and allowed the stone release as much energy as it could.

Noah understood that his cultivation could now begin, which meant he could undergo another major increase in power if he wanted. However, for now, he chose to simply enjoy the simple exercise of cultivating, to refill his core.

'I should be able to stand a chance with her now,' Noah thought thinking about his master, elder Sarah. She was powerful, but his increase had to have drawn him closer to her level. After all, she was only a higher-stage tier 3. The sheer amount of power his body now contained should comfortably threaten even higher staged experts. After all his stats had experienced a ten percent increase from what they were after he exited the dungeon.

Noah spent the next hour simply cultivating, and when he had refilled his core, he opened his stats to gaze at their glorious numbers.

During those short minutes, Noah wondered why he couldn't properly utilize speed essence that didn't come from his core. He could manipulate it, but couldn't cast spells, or do anything really.

'It's probably due to my low comprehension and connection to the speed force. What is even the speed force,' Noah began to wonder at some point. A thought he surprisingly hadn't birthed since he gained knowledge of his uniqueness.

'Is it just like a core. Then wouldn't its energy reserves eventually be depleted.' Noah removed the ragged clothes he had on, and put on the guilds attire.

'Does it contain all the ranks of purity or are there different cores holding the different purities, and I only gain access to them each time my body can't be purified further,' he contemplated, beginning to assume that the speed force remained only a mere core holding immense amounts of energy. He couldn't be more wrong about anything in his life.
