Chapter 383 283. WONDER

Name:UNLIMITED SPEED Author:
An extensive library, large and filled with many shelves filled with books was available to Noah, and he immediately went and begin to search for his area of interest.

He still had lots of questions about the speedlings and wanted to know if they still existed in the world. Maybe he could get help from them or just visit them.

However, rather than happiness, all that could be evident on Noah's handsome face was a frown. A deep one at that.

'What the fuck is this restriction?' he thought, noting the fact that he couldn't even touch any of the books without a barrier appearing on them and burning the fingers that were unlucky enough to graze the barrier of heat.

As if listening to his thoughts, a blue light suddenly flashed inside the wide room. Its radiance was bright enough to reach Noah's eyes from his position.

"You wonder why my books have protection?" Riveta's powerful consciousness interacted with Noah's conveying her thoughts to him.

"Well yes," Noah replied leaving the shelve in hopes of finding her position. Fortunately, he wouldn't need to go far since she floated towards him and landed beside him.

"That would be none other than the fact that knowledge is power."

"I'm sure you're smart enough to understand that?" She stated, grabbing a random book from the shelve. Of course, the barrier didn't react to her.

"It's my turn not to trust you. And I'm going to give you a hard time just like you gave me a hard time," she announced with a cheeky smile, but Noah dared not respond with sarcasm. He could see she was prepared to deal with such a response if it ever happened.

With that thought in mind, he decided he wouldn't give her the pleasure of watching him beg.

"Okay then," Noah stated, scanning the area for the exit. "I'll just find something else to do in your abnormally large tower," he explained already approaching the door.

Rather than the disappointment Noah expected, her smile grew wider.

"That's a pretty good reaction. Never give people the pleasure they want especially when it would do you bad," she spoke running up to walk closer to him.

Riveta's stature was pretty much small. At least compared to him. She barely stood at a height of 5'5, and her slim nature put her on the small side. She, however, featured soft curves that the pink dress she currently had on revealed to the world.

Noah loomed over her in terms of height, which was probably why she usually flew around him, just like she did after some point.

Both individuals moved silently, Noah was more or less annoyed about her rejecting his desire to read books. And she on the other hand casually studied the individual that had entered her domain.

Noah figured he would wait until his dungeon was complete before he left, and that was still his plan, but there was still a lot of time left before then. About a whole day to be exact.

"Why are you following me? It's creepy," Noah's voice rang out at some point.

"Uh... this is my tower don't forget, I should be asking you why you're wandering about in someone else's home," she snorted playfully.

"Are all tier five's like this?" Noah felt forced to ask. He had never imagined that an existence probably strong enough to be considered gods in Cregar would be so playful.

"Well not all of us are like this. Some are more eccentric than the others. Some like to prove serious, which I find boring, so I killed a few of them," she explained with such honesty, Noah felt a shiver travel down his spine.

"How strong do you consider yourself?" He asked while they walked down the hallway that would eventually lead to the floor below. A series of windows existed that shockingly allowed visuals of the outside, and Noah found himself staring into the plain's beauty.

"I'm probably one of the strongest in the world," she responded calmly and confidently, forcing Noah's steps to a halt.

A series of questions appeared in his mind at her confident proclamation, but he chose only one.

"You've traveled the different continents?" He arced an eyebrow, resuming his steps.

"Didn't I tell you that?" She asked furrowing her brows.

"Oh yes you did, but I just assumed maybe our continent alone, not the entire world," Noah explained placing his gaze on the plain.

"Well yes I have then. I've traveled all the continents and have been privileged to fight some of the best experts in them. The dragons are exceptional," she explained.

His interest being piqued, Noah snapped his head towards her figure and saw her smug, but didn't care.

"You've been to the dragons continent. I thought we don't know much about them?" Noah uttered, unsure.

A short laughed escaped Riveta's mouth and she quickly regained her composure to respond.

"Those are the old books you've read. There are even many interactions with that continent and our continent, only that its very fragile. The dragons have issues. Big ones," she explained.

"I see," Noah muttered, feeling a bit excited.

"I've already given you information most don't know. You should be grateful," Riveta rolled her eyes at some point.

"Thank you," Noah immediately replied. Honesty dripping from his voice.

His sudden seriousness caught Riveta by surprise, and she cleared her throat.

"No worries, young man," she stated placing her gaze somewhere else. Even for her, a serious Aiden was a lot to handle. The man's looks were strong enough for that.

"As someone who would soon be going on a journey to the different nations and even outside the continent, what do you advise that I posses the most?" Noah decided to clear a small doubt of his, and she had proved how she wasn't going to lie to him.

"That should be one of the most obvious things in the entire world. Power of course," she clasped her palms.

"The entities of the other nations and continents are very competitive. I believe you'll find yourself in many competitions as I found myself."

"If you don't have the power to show yourself approved, then you'll become a laughing stock." She explained, her eyes drawing colder and colder as she spoke. It seemed that topic reminded her of events that she hated.

Noah couldn't help but begin to wonder who that woman was, and what she had been through.
