Chapter 429 429. CURSED TOWN

Name:UNLIMITED SPEED Author:
The crunching sound of ice being crushed under the weight of someone's foot echoed in the room all seven of the experts were in. But something had changed.

A crimson liquid had now begun to taint the pristine bluish-whiteness of the ice in the room, and as the mist cleared, it revealed Noah's unbound figure and the impaled bodies of the masked men.

Large stakes of 7ft tall ice had punctured each of their chests, they would be dead in a short while. Their profuse bleeding caused puddles of blood to form, but the cold worked on it.

Kius and his daughter, however, found half of their legs completely frozen, and they feared that rash movements would shatter their frozen limbs. They stayed in place and watched Noah's tall figure emerge from the cloud of mist that had formed from his body.

His figure palpitated with power as deep-yellow sparks ran unhindered across his body. His eyes shone with a sharp blue light, but they had almost turned green due to the yellow light that now existed within them.

"You better pray nothing has happened to them," Noah's voice caused huge cracks to spread in the frozen building as a thick cloud raging with erratic sparks started to form above the mansion.

Noah had instinctively unfolded his consciousness, his influence could spread to places far away from him.

Kius felt tempted to voice a mocking reply since his situation already looked grim. He had even tried to utilize his flames on the ice, but nothing worked. He had already begun to accept his fate, but he didn't want to lose. Hence the temptation.

Yet his words were choked in his throat as a result of what he felt. Crippling fear.

However, even if he had wanted to reply, he would have been unable to, since Noah had grabbed Tilda and him, ripping their upper bodies from the halfway-frozen portion of their legs.

Pain shot up Kius' mind, but he feared what would happen to his daughter most.

In the span of an instant, a white light unfolded and wrapped around them, after which Tilda and Kius found themselves in a strange white room. Totally empty, and it even felt distant.

Noah had brought them to his cultivation room immediately after reaching them. And before the duo could protest, he left them there, teleporting to the outside world, only this time he had a specific location.

Noah opened his eyes before the building Erolia and the others stayed.

Upon arrival, he immediately caught the sound of voices, and an aura in the third tier reached his senses. They seemed to be speaking about a ring.

Noah had never felt so nervous and suddenly anxious in his entire life.

His breathing got uneven as ice spread beneath him with every step he took forward.

"There's someone outside!" A male voice exclaimed, alerted. Noah recognized it.

"Who goes there?" The person within the third tier tried to scare him away, but the expert's survival instincts were suddenly alerted.

Unfortunately, it was already too late.

The wall before the man turned to ice and shattered, after which a yellow blur shot through the chaos to grab his neck.

Noah's nose tingled upon entry. A familiar scent, similar to rusting metal reached his nostrils and he managed to understand the density of what lay around him.

He had stepped inside blood.

Noah's eyes went cold and before the expert in his grip could do anything, he applied pressure to his grip and a sickening crunch reverberated in the room. A heavy thud followed. Noah stored the man's core after.

Streams of silver light entered the room, and Noah got clear visuals of the three men who stood, frozen by terror.

They didn't try to attack. Or rather, they couldn't. Noah's consciousness already had them in its influence.

Noah swept his gaze on the room and he instinctively drew his breath.

His eyes lost their luster and his countenance turned dark.

An emotion he had not experienced in a long while welled up in his being, and for what felt like an eternity Noah remained unable to lift his gaze from the bloodied scene before him.

Six figures lay in different positions within the room, but they all had one thing in common.

Lifelessness.

Noah counted the very faces he had rushed to check up on, laying on the ground. A pool of blood-soaked their still figures.

Multiple stab wounds could be noticed. Their cause of death being multiple stabs.

The world seemed to fall deadly silent.

Noah felt even his mind grow sluggish before that scene. For a few moments, he felt nothing. Emptiness.

The type he had not experienced since he died on Earth.

A single weak gasp abruptly filled the room, then a weak soft voice rang out, sending chills down everyone's spine. Including Noah.

"Si... Sir... Ge...George," Erolia's voice had sent raw pain flying through Noah's mind, he almost winced visibly. "I... kn...knew you'd c...c...come."

Noah clenched his teeth and walked forward. Each step he took created a wet sound for he stepped in blood.

He knelt before her badly wounded body, uncaring of the blood that soiled his attire.

"My real name is Noah." He placed her head on his lap, speaking in a soft tone as the softness of compassion appeared in his eyes.

"Now keep quiet, young lady. You should not drain your energy on words. You've suffered enough," he smiled, deep pain unfolding inside him. Noah felt like his chest had been impaled by something real.

His mind couldn't bear that scene.

At his words, her orange eyes finally lost their light, and she let her last breath go. Finally ending the immense pain she must have been experiencing.

Noah himself took a deep breath at that event, he didn't mind the nose-full of rust-like scent he took in. Since now his mind was set on only one thing.

"Why?" his emotionless voice rang out in the room and he felt the three men tremble.

"Why did you do this?" he repeated after a moment of silence, even of he knew why. He simply hadn't expected the people before him to do it.

The bartender, Diro and two other recognizable who had joined him in conversations.

They remained silent yet still. However, when Noah was about to speak again, Diro's voice rang out.

"They deserved it! They all do. Yes lord Kius had order their deaths, but I did them gladly." The man said those words in a tone that dripped with sincerity and troubling gladness.

Noah closed his eyes at that vile reply. His anger flared.

"Are you all so sick and horrid in nature?!" His voice was loud and his tone carried power. "You just killed a bunch of children simply striving," his words faded at the ending.

No response returned to him. But he didn't need one. He also knew the answer to that question. And he knew what to do to quench the dense amount of blood lust he felt.

He didn't just want to just kill Kius and his daughter or the men before him. No, he wanted more. He wanted that cursed town wiped out. And he would do just that.

Ice spread in front of Noah's figure and turned the dead bodies into frozen sculptures almost instantly. That was his own form of burying them.

Straightening his position, eyes dark, he approached the exit bringing the three men with him.

"What are you going to do now!?" Diro yelled, startled by the fact that they weren't dead yet.

Noah's reply was cold and distant. It made the worlds of all three men spin in growing fear.

"I'll make you watch," He had replied.
