At a set time someone came and cleared the table that had been brought into Noah's room. The individual being a maid at the peak of the third tier had found his table half cleared.
He had stored most of it and left the remaining to be taken away. His mind needed a bit to clear from the conflicting emotions he experienced.
The maid had been beautiful, but he barely cared about that. Her cold expression almost ruined her beauty, she even carried a heavy aura about her.
These were details he couldn't miss. Nevertheless, he simply watched her clear his plates.
"Do you find it unfair?" Noah's question flew toward the young-looking woman. She felt startled since real surprise appeared on her face.
"Huh?" she gasped.
Noah placed his legs on the ground, sitting on his bed.
"Do you find our different positions unfair?" He asked again. His expression was regular and his eyes were attentive.
She noticed those details and felt on edge.
"No sir," she replied shaking her head with a bow.
Noah remained silent for a few seconds. He didn't know what he was doing. But he followed his instincts anyway.
"I don't believe you," he responded watching her brown eyebrows flicker.
"Sir I will be needed soon," she tried to find a way out.
"You're attending to guests of the royals themselves, I believe they've asked you to obey us. No?" He tilted his head.
She was unable to respond. His words had hit the spot. She lowered her head in seeming submission.
"What is your name?" Noah asked.
"Loria, sir," she quickly replied.
"Well Loria, I am Aiden."
"We're obviously of the same power level, but I have an edge over you. I'd be jealous if I was in your position too," he admitted.
Loria remained silent.
"Only luck differentiates us. Or maybe fate. Or destiny. Whatever you want to call it."
"I'm also far stronger than you are," he added and finally got a reaction from her.
Loria was prideful by nature. Her power amongst her fellow maids stood out. Her breakthrough into the fourth tier would mean she could become a head maid and serve the royals directly. She had been promised so. This was the reason she had been even allowed to serve him.
"I'm pretty sure your glare would get you in trouble," Noah smiled a bit. Things were getting interesting.
She lowered her head again trying her best to refrain from doing or saying anything that could get her in trouble.
"Your aura is choking me," Noah teased. She clenched her teeth.
"If you have nothing to say, sir, I'll be taking my leave," She raised her head. Her expression was cold.
She was truly beautiful.
"You're of the lightning element aren't you?" Noah asked even if he could already feel the strange familiarity.
Loria furrowed her brows in confusion. She had sensed the beautiful man's affinity but knew not what he wanted.
"Can you do this?" He raised his right hand and allowed yellow sparks to begin to crackle on his fingers.
A blade formed from the dense sparks and he held unto it.
She silently snorted.
"No offense sir, but that's child's play," She stated feeling smug inwardly.
Noah made his lips round. "Oh. Then show me what you can do," he smiled daringly.
"If you say so," she bowed.
Raising her head, Noah saw the smile on her face and felt danger trickle into his mind while greenish-yellow sparks appeared around her.
She raised her hand and swords formed on it and around her.
They numbered exactly fifty.
"Impressive," Noah nodded genuinely.
"This is the least I can do," she even further spoke.
"Me too," Noah responded. She wanted to boast. Suddenly he wanted to, too.
Her expression turned annoyed and she waved her hand making the elemental swords disperse.
"Can I take my leave now?" She asked not scared to show her annoyance.
Aiden had shown he could handle her annoyance.
"You're such a bad maid," he giggled further annoying her.
"You're probably troublesome."
Loria had a cold expression as she watched him laugh at a situation he had created.
"Still, I like it." he stopped laughing altogether. His words caught her off-guard.
"You can go now, thank you," he waved his hand with a mysterious smile.
Loria remained speechless at the suddenness of his actions. He had left a positive impression on her.
She brown-haired maid nodded and approached the exit.
The gust of wind suddenly filled the room, however, blowing her attire dangerously high.
Loria panicked and quickly held her dress down before it could reveal her beneath.
Laughter filled the room however and she glared at Aiden seeing the ball of spinning wind floating before him.
'A dual affinity wielder!' she exclaimed inwardly.
Noah knew not what came upon him to do that. But she was too tease-able.
Heat rushed to her face and she stormed out of his room. Noah laughed to his heart's content.
Her exit brought a wave of unfathomable silence.
Noah lay on his bed, his leg on the floor and his arms spread out on the soft surface.
He heaved a deep sigh, the next day would probably be eventless. He was already restless.
"Damn," he exclaimed. "I have nothing to do."
Sitting up he raked his fingers through his white hair.
Untying it, he allowed their silky nature lay on his shoulders.
"How many times will I have to go through this? The wait is getting unbearable," Noah spoke to the system.
He hadn't done so in a while.
[[You can address the issue at hand for the mean time]]
Its response felt more human.
"Which issue," Noah asked, confused.
[[The issue of the spirit attached to your body]]
"Oh, that."
"Is there anything I can do?" he asked.
[[No. It's what I can do]]
Noah rolled his eyes.
"What can you do then?"
[[I can seal it up in an object]]
"Which object?" His expression was that of amusement.
[[Any one you provide]]
"Uh," Noah searched through his inventory. There were a few items he felt he had no pressing need for.
[[I recommend a mana stone]]
The system's words surprised him, but he didn't object and simply did as suggested.
An orange mana stone appeared on his palm at that point.
[Commencing the process of sealing up entity<Spirit>...]
[Will you like to store Spirit<Erolia> Within the mana stone<Orange>?]
[Yes/No]
Noah picked the positive option. And watched a spherical multicolored mass suddenly fly out of his chest and into the already floating orange mana stone.
[Process complete]
[Spirit being<Erolia> has been successfully sealed]
Noah watched the orange mana stone begin to shine and shine until its color changed from orange to a magical purple color. The stone had also gotten bigger.
