The region surrounding the landing point of Cudgel's massive figure never stopped shaking. Huge cracks akin to chasms never stopped opening in the area as Noah messed up that place by letting Cudgel smash into the ground many times.
He directly crushed tens of experts to death while the rest were put in a state no less than death. The terrible bangs coming from that event could be heard for miles, and Nora had to utilize her mental waves to let the city remain in one piece. She could only wonder what that being was doing.
Probably something outrageous.
Noah waved his hand and caused Cudgels' figure to slam into his hand. The sky rumbled again and the huge mass fell from the sky with blinding power.
It was spectacular, magnificent, a show of unstoppable dominance. Noah had ended up clearing the experts even before they could do much.
The bolt that fell had cleared the huge mass of dust and debris that rose to the sky. It could cover cities, but that area was mostly trees and plain lands. The craters and areas of dead bodies were also expansive. In short only Orphos was the closest settlement.
"They weaker than I thought," Noah uttered a logic-defying sentence and if anyone apart from his golems could hear him they would cough blood and rethink their entire chase for power.
"Oh well, I fulfilled my promise. Maybe stronger existences will arrive one day," he shrugged, knowing fully well that his words insulted the souls of the beings that he killed. Sweeping his gaze over the heavily damaged environment he shook his head in pity.
The dome-shaped masses of plants and vines had been destroyed and the many bodies of the experts he had killed littered the chasms insides some dwelling within the huge cracks in the folds of the terrain.
Noah floated downward and activated his power over energy.
The ground shattered and converged towards him, The vines, the plants, the bodies all flew towards his body being deconstructed into mere particles, it was a strange innate ability he understood only thanks to the memories he gained from Ersha.
A seeming whirlwind of deconstructed mana-based bodies formed around him. The spectacle being visible for many kilometers.
Noah felt his power grow as the energy was converted into exp when it reached the suitable amount of purity. A few minutes had to pass before everything died down, but his actions had further jeopardized the area.
Noah took in a deep breath before deciding to leave that place. It was still relatively early into the morning, but he contemplated staying within the city till the next day.
His figure arrived on one of his elder frost golems, he had disposed of the golems after some point. He sat on its shoulder and told it to return to the Orphos city.
Noah fell into a bit of thought. He had gained a total of 66 levels from killing all 394 tier 4 cultivators and the 6 thousand lower-leveled ones coupled with the 11 levels he gained from the initial group. Maxing the total gains at 77 levels.
A significant number since Noah had already reached the middle stage according to the demarcation of levels. But it would seem the system only tabulated it that way, he had not undergone any spectacular change only that his power was now more potent than usual.
Being at level 286, Noah stood thirty-six levels above the lower portion of the middle stage. It wasn't up to half, but with that power, no middle stage could compare to him. He could now battle higher-staged cultivators and win. In mere hours of arriving there!
Noah didn't need to check his stats to know that his power had grown exponentially. He was more than 5 times his former level. His body palpitated with terrible power.
Barely a month into all this and he was already able to battle higher staged cultivators.
Noah arrived before the city with his aura bottled. Now he was the strongest expert in the entire city.
Nora and the others noticed him as soon as he entered again. He looked completely fine and spotless even. As though he had not just come out of a battle with literally hundreds of individuals at their power level.
"I have fulfilled my promise, it is time that you fulfill yours, Human Nora," Noah explained heaving a deep sigh. He truly felt tired and only resting could help him.
Nora and the three other experts remained bowed before his presence, but he didn't mind. He casually let his elder golem float toward the building meant for them.
The three of them followed closely behind Nora who followed closely behind Noah. They reached the nine-story building and he caused his golems to dissipate into masses of mist that quickly disappeared.
"I want to rest here for a day. Have you called upon the royals, how long will they arrive here? I wouldn't want them to meet me here," Noah explained arriving inside a room only he and Nora entered.
"I had been uncertain about your situation but as soon as you returned I made the call. They should be arriving in two to three days," She explained shuddering a bit.
Noah nodded at that point. He fell silent for a bit.
"Now, about the guild tell me where you last saw them," his voice rang out while he made himself comfortable on the bed provided for him. Nora stood with submissiveness.
"It was only seven months ago I had been on a mission from the royals about a certain region that had been infested with beasts."
"Even amid the war, magical beasts becoming populous is still an issue. I was on this mission and together had been deployed with two tier 4 experts from the divine lightning guild and two others from different guilds."
"The mission of clearing the underground network filled with bats had been easy, even if three days had passed before we could complete it," she continued.
"After the mission one of the two who went by the name Von had invited me to a short trip to their city. Then it floated above the Renga regions." She paused seeing a reaction on Noah's face.
"Elder Von," Noah muttered already finding that explanation adequate. The map appeared in his hand and he pinpointed where the Renga region was.
"It's quite distant from here," he sighed even if he felt nothing close to exhaustion.
"They might not be there anymore," Nora commented. "It's news that they are about to make a big move on a significant base of the elves. It's going to be a big event."
"It doesn't matter," Noah revealed still gazing at the Renga region on the map. It was the first snowy place he would need to go to since he arrived in Cregar.
