Noah sat within the bounds of an enclosed room. His surroundings shone with golden radiance. He had been within that room for a while now. Five hours to be exact.
The time for the hatching of the Thunder Bird drew dangerously close. Only three hours remained for that event to arrive and Noah could already tell that it would be transported to the outside world.
In short, its hatching would lead to something he mostly wouldn't be able to hide.
Noah waited for the return of his grand elders, but he believed they would be too late and he'd have to leave his confinement to allow his pet into the world.
In truth, he could leave just that instant. The teleportation into the cultivation room stood at a level even beyond the sixth tier. A mere tier 5 bind would never be able to keep him in one place. Not even tier 6 could keep him in place.
His eyes were shut and his consciousness remained unfolded in the room. His level normally would be unable to do anything to that place, so he was genuinely bound. But he would move if he deemed it necessary.
Elder Adonis had been unfazed when Noah had announced he knew about his plan to keep him in confinement.
He and Elder Ezra had left to call upon others into the matter. The man named Aiden had increased in terms of power. But had also grown distant from humanity.
His sudden appearance was even something they would need to deal with. He still held the mark of the guild's oath, meaning he truly was the one. But how?
They would come to question him but time was needed for the others to arrive, especially his master who would be a major piece in the grand raid to occur.
She had been deployed to a region where their guild and other guilds in cooperation had made a base. It would take her a few more hours to reach him at full speed, but there were teleportation nodes made only by the guild.
Only those who bore the mark of the guild could access it. The royals had decided not to implement this since some noble families had previously infiltrated their ranks with genuinely special individuals who knew too much but had been stopped from taking an oath that directly took their lives. When the Order called upon their supporters, such experts were able to leave unharmed, or only slightly.
Such nodes were also expensive to create. Especially when geared towards one set of humans in an organization.
The great guilds had been allowed to do whatever they wanted since they played major roles thanks to their experts who were even more spectacular than many of the royal knights.
Still, nodes only cut the journey short and were at locations that would not allow some type of unexpected raid. Things were very hectic in times of war. All scenarios had to be considered.
Noah's silver and white hair fell to his shoulders as his head remained lowered; facing the golden floor.
The room opened at some point and five figures walked in. The highest leveled person being in the fifth tier.
Noah finally raised his head after an extra hour of having to wait for the return of the grand elders.
The event caused gasps to leave the mouths of the figures apart from Elder Adonis and Ezra, however. Noah lifted his silver eyes to gaze at the figures of Elder Von, Anna, and Tiana. A lady he had not seen in a long time.
Those who felt the most shock were, of course, Von and Anna. Tiana had only been told about the event. Having been too busy to make contact with the man.
"Impossible," Anna muttered taking a step back. Her eyes were wide and her hands fell on her mouth to cover it.
Her features were more vibrant and even glowed. Her power in the middle stage was the main reason for this reality.
Elder Von could only stare in astonishment. He failed to articulate words, but he regained his composure not too long after.
Tiana simply stared, gazing into Noah's silver eyes and feeling her heart palpitate in excitement and also fear. Her power fell short of his. She had managed to reach the fourth tier in all that time.
She only became a tier 4 expert less than three years prior. For this reason, she had been with the grand elders who had taken interest in her power.
"What shall be done to him, masters? He is certainly the one we know as Aiden," elder Von broke the silence, turning to gaze at his elders. His power had also grown within the fourth tier.
Before Noah left, he had been close to the peak of the lower stage, but things had changed now. His power had increased and he stood very close to entering the higher stage. Even he felt he only needed a few months, which would not be a wrong estimation.
"We shall await the arrival of the others. Mostly Sarah," elder Adonis explained shaking his head. Von nodded at that point turning his gaze to Anna.
It still took her a few seconds to process the scene before her. Memories of how devastated her best friend had been flooded her mind. It had been a hard time for herself and Dan.
"I apologize that his reunion occurred in such unpleasant circumstances. I am still the Aiden you know," Noah spoke up forcing all attention to his figure.
It felt like a ghost spoke to Anna and Von, as both had thought him dead long-long ago.
"Whatever it is that you want to do, I advise you do it in less than two hours. An event will occur soon and I'll need to be out of this place by then. I apologize beforehand." Explained Noah. His words were still strange,
How would a middle-stage expert escape binds that were meant for tier 5 existences?
Silence reigned at his words until Grand Elder Ezra spoke.
"We do not plan to keep you here long. But it will be more than two hours. We shall eventually let you out," she explained, calm and collected.
Noah nodded and lowered his head again.
"Let us go," Elder Adonis announced at that point. He had a tingling feeling that Aiden's announcement would somehow reveal itself to be true. But how would he escape his binds?
He would prove even more dangerous if he could pull off such an action. However, Adonis didn't believe he could. Still, he couldn't get rid of the doubt spreading in his heart.
