Chapter 567 567. OLD FRIEND

Name:UNLIMITED SPEED Author:
Noah and Erolia moved across the skies of that city to find the other states, and luckily all were in the aid position. But at some point that stopped being the main focus.

After the house of Earl, Noah made sure to check if they picked anything weird up, and sure enough they did. All three of the estates held an aura hidden from the senses of humans. Noah wasn't a full human anymore, and Erolia was a magical beast. They sensed it too quickly.

He considered informing the elders of his findings, and he did. They had spoken for about an hour and he had been told to cancel the last part of the mission. The assassination.

Noah had refused the idea, or rather he had agreed on not allowing the others risk their lives, but he had assured the elders that he could take care of the assassination even while there was an unknown threat.

They had been difficult to persuade since they worried about the issue of how many hands were at work. There were three target locations and only two available. He and his bird. He had kept Erolia's human form a secret. For now.

Noah had assured Elder Ezra of his ability to take care of the assassination by himself. They had brought up the issue of how silent he could be so he revealed his already-made plan. A plan he had formulated on the spot but was doable.

He had to convince them by telling them his plan, and they saw how it could work. This revelation garnered even more respect from them. And although they had doubts, Noah reminded Elder Ezra of his past fulfilled promises.

She couldn't help but trust him at that point. He had fulfilled his words so far and he sounded like he had a solid plan, there wasn't much they could say anymore.

At the end of the day, he was allowed to dismiss the group if he felt it necessary. He decided he would utilize them even if in truth he could take care of everything by himself.

A plan that saw him utilizing the twelve appeared in his mind and although it would cost him a few pills he didn't care. He had brought them with him so he would utilize them.

In the end, the matter was settled and he was also informed that the royals spoke about gaining a few leads in the city. They had left the details to when the group they sent arrived.

This would make the search far easier. But Noah already knew he had a lot of work to handle. He doubted he'd be able to go around searching with them.

Having returned to the skies above the hill by teleporting in and out of his cultivation room, Noah descended after spending another hour outside.

He decided to use the normal means of entry instead of just appearing within the underground building.

The others were glad to see him return, and they asked about the commotion that occurred a couple of hours earlier. Noah gave them an explanation even if he left out the fact that Erolia's presence was the reason for that.

"We created a storm." He had informed them and none found any reason to question further, he had said the reason for that decision.

He wasn't going to tell them everything about himself or his pet. He also wasn't going to tell them about his discovery until it was time for them to carry out the mission. He would then reveal all that he had set up beforehand.

The group had discovered various sleeping rooms and he was given one. Well lit and decorated. There had even been an addition to a cooling system. All rooms had that. This spoke well of the thoughts of the royals when they built it. For resting.

They had also found a kitchen with special storage units that kept ingredients from rotting. It reminded him of his inventory, but it was obvious his version was far advanced.

Two training halls, a large pool, a hot bath, and even a room that featured vibrant mana stones for ease of cultivation.

They also discovered dungeons below the building. They were empty though. But were for if the group that reclined there possessed captives.

A bit more exploration of the building revealed a series of rooms that had mechanisms to attack anyone not permitted to enter them.

These details greatly intrigued the experts, but Noah warned them not to go out of hand.

Three people cooked and they were soon served. The party ate whilst they continued to wait for the group from the royals.

They only had about eight hours till their estimated arrival. It could take more time, but it didn't matter as long as they arrived.

After eating, the group entertained themselves by engaging in spars. Noah simply watched and was chosen to judge them.

Someone asked Erolia to fight them and she did, even if she decimated the expert. That person had been none other than Davis. The man utilized a big Axe featuring a hammerhead also. He was also skilled in utilizing the cutlass. He used a pair.

Erolia had displayed overwhelming strength and speed when she blocked his hammer-based strikes with her mere palms.

Each one of those strikes shook the entire room as the expert made sure to exert all his strength.

Shockingly, she had returned his strike with a fist once, and the expert had found himself flying away from her figure with such force that his arm sockets quaked.

He could barely lift his chunky weapon after that point and had gone for his twin cutlasses. Erolia had once again bested him.

Her agility as a bird seemed to have been transferred to her human state since even she spoke about her Inability to explain that level of prowess. It wasn't at its peak yet but was already enough to weave through those expert attacks. At least most of them.

Noah appreciated that event since it allowed Erolia exert herself in her human form. She made mistakes in that battle as truly the man had honed his body to a great degree.

He could make her tumble and fall even if she stood as rapidly as she fell.

Soon everyone took turns against her and Noah watched her begin to struggle after some point. Notwithstanding, he found a vibrant smile on her face.

Erolia felt joy in her heart knowing she could associate with such individuals and have that much fun. Her life before then had been characterized by limitation. Only against those experts did she completely realize the freedom her newfound might allowed. And oh, how her heart swelled with joy.

They ended up spending those hours going against her and Noah advised rest since she had almost been fighting non-stop for 10 hours.

Twenty minutes into that rest and they were alerted by a few individuals that made their way down into the building. The passage that opened into that building made a lot of noise. Making it easy to notice entry and exit.

Noah wore a black face mask at that point, and when the group of humans revealed themselves, his eyes fell on a certain man.

His features looked to have aged a bit since the last time he saw him. But most especially his power had greatly risen as it touched the middle stage of the fourth tier.

Had Noah not been rendered unable to feel most emotions; he would burst forth with rage and a feeling of deep betrayal. But he remained unmoved, even if he gazed at the features of his old friend, James.
