Chapter 678: Chapter 678: Growth Journey
“Are you serious?”
Qin Changqing asked, looking at the Ancient Emperor.
“Of course, it’s up to you guys to decide. Well, I won’t meddle anymore. If you really can’t make up your minds, staying like this is also pretty good,” the Ancient Emperor said, and then the aura of Rain Wei Immortal Master began to change.
Clearly, she had voluntarily relinquished control of her body.
Rain Wei Immortal Master emerged once more.
Even though Rain Wei Immortal Master didn’t speak within the room, the atmosphere became slightly awkward.
The request of the Ancient Emperor had indeed put her in a difficult position.
“Qin Changqing.”
Rain Wei spoke up, breaking the silence.
Qin Changqing turned to her.
Rain Wei Immortal Master looked up, her gaze surprisingly calm.
As their eyes met, she said, “Having left the Immortal World for so long, I do not know what it’s like now. Would you accompany me on a tour of the Immortal World?”
A tour of the Immortal World?
Qin Changqing replied, “Sure.”
He didn’t know what Rain Wei meant but agreed to it for the time being.
“Let’s go then,” she said as she stood up.
“Rain Wei...”
“Ye, thank you for your trouble.”
Outside, Rain Wei Immortal Master met with Flowers Celestial Master.
Their past relationship seemed very good; seeing each other this time brought tears to the Flowers Celestial Master’s eyes.
Qin Changqing silently walked outside.
It was already night, and in the sky, the bright moon hung high.
The Moon God was sitting in a chair woven from moonlight, her body radiating a faint glow.
Qin Changqing walked over.
“Moon God, I have gained some insights into the ninth melody. Once matters here are concluded, I will come to discuss it further with you,”
Qin Changqing said.
“Hmm.”
The Moon God murmured softly, a response that was surprisingly gentle for her usual aloof demeanor.
Perhaps another man might not have been able to get as close to her as this.
The Moon God fell silent again, seemingly absorbing the moonlight from above.
Seeing this, Qin Changqing stood not far from her, quietly waiting.
After a while, Rain Wei’s figure appeared outside the palace.
After becoming a Great Luo, Qin Changqing had visited the Infinite Sea as well,
where his many women and descendants from the Hai Clan had ascended here.
The destination of Yu Wei, however, was another matter altogether.
This sea was truly vast.
The place she reached was filled with a great number of sea demonic beasts, many of which, although they were indeed beasts, possessed strength on par with True Immortals or even Spirit Immortals, just like some of the demonic beasts in the Spirit Realm.
It seemed, Yu Wei had also cultivated here before.
After several years of traveling in the Infinite Sea, Yu Wei headed in another direction.
Qin Changqing silently followed her.
In the process, the Ancient Emperor did not show up.
But there was nothing Yu Wei did that could be kept from her.
She did have the patience to wait.
Qin Changqing was also unsure what the Rain Wei Immortal Master was planning to do.
She seemed to want to revisit the paths she once took, to reminisce about the past once more.
Doing so was somewhat like some people, when they grow old and are close to death, reflecting back on their lives.
Qin Changqing was a bit worried, could Yu Wei be thinking about dying together with the Ancient Emperor?
He was very patient indeed, patiently listening to whatever Yu Wei said.
He would occasionally converse with her as well.
Yu Wei’s character was indeed very good, although ordinary people rarely saw this side of her.
As the former master of the Rain Immortal Realm, her demeanor used to be as gentle as water.
After battling the Ancient Emperor for countless years, her initial appearances were always cold as ice.
But now, she seemed to have returned to her former self.
Sometimes, the way she made Qin Changqing feel was like a naïve and happy little girl.
Growing stronger does not necessarily mean losing joy, but it certainly means no longer having naivety.
And so, Qin Changqing accompanied Yu Wei, traveling throughout the Immortal World for many years.
They had practically revisited every path she had once taken.
Qin Changqing also silently witnessed her growth process.
Being able to become a Semi-Saint, her opportunities and fortune were naturally not bad. Her journey was smooth sailing, and although she did encounter bottlenecks, overall, it was very smooth.
“It’s been a hundred years.”
In the midst of the Star Sea, on an Immortal Star covered in water, Yu Wei spoke softly.
It had been a hundred years since Qin Changqing accompanied her traveling through the Immortal World.
“Yes, it’s been a hundred years. After journeying through your life for these hundred years, what now, are you choosing to die together with me?”
At that moment, the Ancient Emperor, unseen for a hundred years, appeared again.
