When it was time for Chen Lihua to take group photos with her foreign friends, she met George, who was her ex.
George came from a British family. Actually, his father is British, while his mother, an American. But he basically grew up in America with his mom after she separated from his father.
Chen Lihua and George gazed right into each other's eyes. But George was the first to smile as he walked towards her.
He greeted her in a British manner, which was to kiss both sides of her cheeks.
It is only when you meet friends, whom you haven't seen for a long time that you would kiss the cheek of the opposite s.e.x. In Britain, one kiss is generally enough. But George chose to make it two, at of his own will.
Chen Lihua silently prayed in her heart that Liu Longwei didn't see what just happened. But how? Could her prayers be answered when it was already too late?
Liu Longwei just took his eyes off his wife for two minutes. And before he could look back at her, her cheeks were already being kissed by a British guy.
Liu Longwei immediately put down the c.o.c.ktail he just picked from a passing waiter back on the tray, before walking back to stand beside Chen Lihua.
As for Chen Lihua, she really wanted the ground to open that moment and swallow her whole, not minding that her wedding reception was still ongoing.
Too bad that her wish could only be answered only if she was in a fairytale. But since she was in the real world, she has got to deal with every situation she finds herself in.
"How are you? I've missed you a whole lot," George asked with a sincere smile.
The not so surprising thing about this was that Liu Longwei heard his words, 'clearly.'
'Oh! He even missed my wife, after kissing her cheeks when I haven't done that yet?' Liu Longwei thought to himself while trying to control himself from bursting out due to jealousy, as he was now finally standing beside Chen Lihua.
Chen Lihua felt like knocking some sense into George.
But she really shouldn't blame him, that's the etiquette and manners he grew up with.
"Darling!" Liu Longwei called out to Chen Lihua, as the latter stared back and forth between the two tall and handsome men that we're standing beside her.
One was her ex, while the other is her husband. Both were wealthy and came from affluent families. They almost had the same thing in common, except for their genes.
But this was not the right time to think about all these. 'First thing first,' Chen Lihua said to herself.
She quickly smiled as she immediately held Liu Longwei's arm ???? and introduced the two outstanding men to themselves. "It's good that you are here, meet my ex now turned friend, George, he is British. George, meet my husband, Longwei."
Liu Longwei and George shook hands with smiles on their faces.
After saying a few words of greetings to themselves, Liu Longwei turned to look back at his wife that had been staring at him since he came over to stand beside her.
Maybe, she was checking to see if he was angry with her or not.
Liu Longwei smiled at her before placing his palms on her cheeks while rubbing them gently. "Go ahead and take pictures with your friends, I'll be standing right over there," Liu Longwei said while directing her to where he would be standing, with his face.
Chen Lihua smiled while nodding.
"Good girl," Liu Longwei whispered and left, after leaving pecks on her forehead and cheeks.
"I smell jealousy," Jennifer said as she came to stand beside Chen Lihua.
"Me too, there is no doubt about that," Angel confirmed.
"What are you girls talking about?" Chen Lihua questioned in confusion.
"I bet you didn't even notice that he rubbed your cheeks," Caro said as she joined the conversation.
Seeing Chen Lihua still confused, George decided to step to help clear her confusion.
"I kissed your cheeks as a form of greeting. So your husband rubbed your cheeks before placing his kisses on them."
"Yeah, I bet he was practically rubbing all traces of the kiss that was on your cheeks," Jennifer said.
Their explanations made Chen Lihua recall what happened five minutes ago. Then she turned to look towards Liu Longwei with a look of surprise.
Incidentally, Liu Longwei was also looking towards her direction, so their gazes locked.
Liu Longwei threw his signature smile, and Chen Lihua looked away.
'What a jealous man!' Chen Lihua thought.
I bet if she would still think this way with what was to happen next.
After snapping pictures with her friends, and was still in their midst, Jenifer nudged her arms gently as she asked softly.
"Who is that woman over there, throwing herself at your husband?"
Chen Lihua and her girlfriends, also turned around to take a look.
Jennifer wasn't lying, she was telling the truth. There was actually such a shameless woman.
Just when Liu Longwei was about to pose for a picture with his friends, an ugly little frog hopped out from somewhere in the crowd and wanted to jump on his body.
Unfortunately, Liu Longwei's bodyguards were standing at close range as he was stopped the frog immediately, so she didn't succeed in even touching his suit.
"Longwei, tell them to let me go," The annoying toad cried out softly.
Liu Longwei gave his bodyguards a sign with his eyes, and so they let her go.
He had to release her because of the environment they were in. Had it been he didn't let her go, she would surely cause a huge scene without thinking.
Anyway, the annoying frog had a bird brain, so it wasn't a new thing.
At this point, while looking at this trouble maker, Liu Longwei regretted sending his wedding invitation to her family.
But he had no choice; as the annoying frog's father, was a business partner. So there no way he would send invites to the other business partners and leave him out just because his daughter might cause trouble at his wedding. Anyways he was capable of curtailing any problem she would create.
"Longwei, I missed you," The frog said as she tried to through herself on him, but Wu Bohai immediately came to stand in front of Liu Longwei, thereby, coming in close proximity with her body.
Chen Lihua looked at the scene that was happening some distance away from her and said through gritted teeth, "His ex."
