Just then, Old Madam Liu walked in, and Madam Liu hurriedly went to support her.
"Am fine," Old Madam Liu said in a kind voice.
"I know, mother," Madam Liu answered in a smile.
After helping Old Madam Liu take a seat, she sat beside her.
Just then, Mr. Liu came walking past them, and the old lady immediately called out to him.
"Huang, where are you going to in such a hurry?"
Mr. Liu turned to his wife and mother in a smile. "There is an emergency meeting that I have to attend. I will be back soon," He explained.
"What kind of emergency meeting will make you be in such a hurry?" Old Madam Liu asked with furrowed brows.
"Company matters," Mr. Liu replied patiently.
"I thought we agreed that you should leave the major decisions for Longwei to handle, while you spend more time with the wife you married in your youth?" Old Madam Liu asked in an unhappy tone.
When Mr. Liu Huang was still a young man in his twenties, he married his wife, Mrs. Liu, but he never had time for his family. So Old Madam Liu made him promise to spend more time with his wife and family once Liu Longwei took over the company, and he didn't object to it.
Old Madam Liu didn't seem happy to see her son being busy when her grandson was already handling the company matters.
It makes her wonder if her grandson is actually capable because she hadn't seen any change and difference when her son was still handling the company, and when her grandson took over.
"Mother, I remember what we agreed on. Don't worry, I will wrap up with work soon". Mr. Liu said and went away after saying goodbye to them.
Old Madam Liu sighed before looking at madam Liu worriedly.
"Mother doesn't worry, I understand," Madam Liu assured her.
Old Madam Liu nodded and said, while patting her hands, "Good. It's been a while since I saw that child, Lihua. Tell her to come over when she has the time. Seeing her makes me happy."
Madam Liu immediately smiled at the mention of her daughter-in-law, "Yes, mother, you are right. I will speak to her tonight."
Then the two women talked and laughed happily.
Someplace in one part of the world, someone was sitting on a chair in a room where only a faint light could be seen.
The gender of the person cannot be known unless the person should speak.
"Has he arrived?" the person asked the figure standing behind.
Lo and behold, the person sitting was a woman, while the person standing behind her was a young man, but his face could be seen as the faint light was hitting directly on his face.
He had few scars on his face with broad shoulders.
"Yes, ma'am," the man replied to the woman respectfully. And from his voice, you could tell it was hoarse.
"Wonderful! Tell him to be discreet with his dealings. There shouldn't be a mistake. And any mistake from his side, I will come over there to finish him off myself," the woman warned in a serious tone.
"Noted!" the man replied in his hoarse voice with his sight on his feet.
"Good. You are dismissed," the woman said satisfactorily as the man left her side.
Back in country C, Chen Lihua came back from work a little bit early today after dismissing her patient.
When she returned from the hospital, Liu Longwei was not back yet. So she decided to freshen up and help herself with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice before going into the study to work.
Thinking that his wife would come home from the hospital late, Liu Longwei spent more time in his office, finishing up the last bit of work on his desk.
So, by the time he was through with the doc.u.ments, it was around six-thirty (6:30 pm) in the evening.
He came come around 7 pm to meet his wife reading a health magazine in the living room.
Chen Lihua smiled once she saw him, and she hurriedly put the magazine down and stood up to walk towards him as she said, "Darling, welcome back."
"Thank you," Liu Longwei replied happily as he kissed her forehead.
Chen Lihua smiled while taking his briefcase???? from him.
"When did you come home?" Liu Longwei asked as the two of them took the elevator to their bedroom.
"A few hours earlier than you," Chen Lihua replied.
"If I knew you would be back early today, I would have come earlier," Liu Longwei said regretfully.
"You should have come regardless," Chen Lihua said while staring at him.
"I don't want to meet an empty home," Liu Longwei replied as they came out of the elevator and walked towards his bedroom.
"What do you mean?" Chen Lihua asked as he opened the door to his bedroom and led her in.
"A home without you is no home at all," Liu Longwei replied as he hugged her from behind.
Chen Lihua smiled shyly before struggling out of his embrace.
"You need to freshen up and come down for dinner," Chen Lihua said as she walked into his walk-in closet.
Liu Longwei smiled as he followed her into the walk-in closet.
When Liu Longwei was done freshening up, he went downstairs to have a sumptuous dinner with his wife.
They really had a wonderful time together at the dinner table and back in bed when they laid down to sleep.
Liu Longwei put his hand over Chen Lihua's waist, but the latter removed it, but he put it back again, and she did the same as well.
"What? You don't want me to touch you now?" Liu Longwei asked.
With her eyes closed, Chen Lihua answered, "Not today."
"Why?" Liu Longwei inquired, not sure what her reason was.
"My period came this evening," Chen Lihua replied in a soft voice.
"Oh!" Liu Longwei exclaimed. "That means you are not pregnant," He continued.
"No, am not," Chen Lihua admitted.
"That's fine," Liu Longwei replied as he kissed her hair and hugged her to sleep.
