Chapter 318 - Planning a surprise for her husband.

He entered his office and swept everything on his desk away.

As if that one wasn't enough for him, he went ahead to look for something to smash.

Not seeing anything that could bear the impact of what he wanted, he decided to vent his anger and frustration on the office telephone.

He could afford to replace them, so he might as well destroy it to vent his anger.

After crushing the telephone with his foot, he felt a sense of accomplishment and calmed down.

Immediately he took a seat, someone knocked on his door and came in without waiting for his response.

He shouted at the person, and the person immediately went away like a scared chicken.

But the person was fast enough to get a clear view of the disorganized office. He nearly asked if there was an ongoing war in the office, but he didn't dare.

He was even worried that the deputy chief would send an item flying towards his direction if he didn't leave there on time, due to his rage.

When Chen Lihua got back to her office, she relaxed and picked up the phone she hasn't touched since the last 24-hours.

What she saw caused her eyes to well up with tears, and at the same time, caused a smile to turn up on her lips.

She saw heart-warming messages from Liu Longwei, and it caused her to feel loved and emotional.

Right there, she decided to do something for him.

Since she could take a few days off, it was the perfect timing for it.

She proceeded to click a file open on her work desktop to watch the CCTV footage.

She saw the deputy chief's facial expression change to a happy and excited one when her glasses fell down. She also saw how he immediately rushed over to crush them with his foot, as if he would miss the opportunity to do so if he delayed for even a second.

Because Chen Lihua had her eyes glued to the floor, so she wasn't able to look up to see his facial expressions.

But now, watching it from the CCTV footage, she was able to see that the deputy chief was intentional about damaging her glasses.

'What a mean and shameless man!' Chen Lihua thought to herself.

She sent the footage to her phone. So now, she had the evidence in her possession, in two different devices.

Chen Lihua took the pairs of medicated glasses and kept them away in her bag, leaving only a pair in her office drawers.

After making calls to confirm that someone was around to pick her up, she took her bag and left for the Chief's office.

She went to see the Chief for two reasons.

One, to tell him she was taking a few days off and two, to talk about the deputy Chief's actions in the morning as well as his punishment.

Since Chen Lihua heard the Chief talking about disciplinary measures earlier, she decided to leave the punishment for him to carry out.

After all, he was their Chief, and she trusted that he wouldn't cheat.

The Chief was glad that Chen Lihua accorded him enough respect to hand over the case to him.

So he promised to take action against the deputy chief for his misdeeds.

After the surgery, he had time to watch the CCTV footage, so he knew that the deputy chief was guilty, and had to be disciplined for him to learn.

He just wondered what caused jealousy to erupt from his heart about Chen Lihua.

'How could an old man like him use underhanded means to deal with a lady old enough to be his daughter?'

This has been the question on his mind.

Chen Lihua left his office and went to the underground parking lot. She met the same bodyguards that escorted her to the hospital the day before.

They greeted her respectfully and helped her into the car.

Chen Lihua sat comfortably, as her thoughts wandered off to Liu Longwei, then a broad smile appeared on her face.

She already came up with something in her mind. She just needed the courage to carry out her plans.

Back home, Chen Lihua freshened up and had something light to eat.

Then she picked up a few items before leaving the house.

Now, she has successfully gotten rid of the hospital scent. She was now wearing her new perfume, which had a sweet fragrance.

Chen Lihua fell in love with the fragrance immediately.

She left the house for Liu Longwei's office. The driver packed in the underground parking lot, as one of the bodyguards came down with a fancy bag in hand, and he made his way into the building.

The bodyguard went straight to the top floor, and Assistant Duyi was shocked to see him.

Assistant Duyi smiled when he found out that the Mistress had something to deliver to the boss.

So he followed the bodyguard to Liu Longwei's office.

He knocked, and a cold voice said from the room, "Come in."

Inside the office, Liu Longwei glanced at Assistant Duyi before moving his gaze to the bodyguard, waiting for one of them to speak.

The bodyguard got the signal, so he immediately reported Chen Lihua's instructions to him, as he passed the bag over to him.

Liu Longwei's cold face immediately broke into a smile after learning that his wife was waiting for him.

This is someone that had been moody since yesterday because his wife didn't return his texts or calls.

He was actually worried that something happened to her in the hospital, so he asked the guards to find out, but she was alright.

So he became a little unhappy and grumpy at work because he felt that Chen Lihua was now ignoring him and put more importance on her job than him.

And because of that, he has been very strict with his employees.

Since he was lonely as their boss, then as his employees, they had to accompany him and work into the night today, just like the previous day.

So Chen Lihua appearing today was a saving grace for them.
