Chapter 336 - Absurd thoughts

"I'm happy you came for me," Chen Lihua said in tears.

"Sweetheart, you have to stop crying. Everybody is watching you," Liu Longwei reminded in a low teasing voice.

The whole emotions that were in disarray started going back to normal. 

Chen Lihua recollected herself immediately. Earlier, she was driven by her emotions, so she forgot she and Liu Longwei were not alone.

Now, she felt that she has embarrassed herself and has no face again.

She was about to release herself from the hug when Liu Longwei held her tightly.

"I missed you," He said in a low tone before releasing her from the hug.

He kissed her forehead before hugging her again.

"Wait in the car. I will be back," Liu Longwei said to her and turned around to walk away, but he felt something holding onto his jacket. So, he turned back around to see Chen Lihua's long and slender fingers holding onto his jacket.

Liu Longwei smiled as he cupped her cheeks. "My Love, I won't take long. I will be back in a minute, okay?"

Chen Lihua stared into his eyes and slowly nodded in agreement.

Liu Longwei smiled and lowered his head to kiss her lips softly before escorting her to the car.

When he closed the car door, he turned to K2 and said in a grave tone, "Watch over her" before walking to meet the leader of the military soldiers.

Obeying Master's command, K2 and some of the bodyguards surrounded the sports car.

At seeing them, since they made their presence known to her, Chen Lihua felt safe. But she continued staring towards the direction Liu Longwei walked off.

She could see Liu Longwei and the leader of the military soldiers conversing. 

Chen Lihua sighed in relief and looked down to fiddle with her fingers. She looked on the floor of the car and saw her bag.

As she was not in the mood and didn't need the bag for anything, Chen Lihua looked at the car's windscreen to see Liu Longwei walking back. She breathed a deep sigh of relief.

"How do you feel?" Liu Longwei asked when he got into the car.

"I'm better now," Chen Lihua replied in a soft tone.

"Alright, we will be home soon," Liu Longwei announced as he secured their seat belts before driving off with the bodyguards driving behind them. 

When they got home, Liu Longwei helped his wife out of the car. He even asked her this question with a look of worry, "Should I carry you?"

"I can walk by myself," Chen Lihua replied in a low chuckle after seeing the look on his face. She found that look to be funny.

This is the first time she's smiling since that incident.

Her smiling once again meant a lot to Liu Longwei, so he felt relieved.

He held her waist and escorted her inside the house.

"What would you like for dinner?" Liu Longwei asked.

"I'm not hungry," Chen Lihua replied. She didn't feel like eating anything.

She didn't think that with her mental state now, she would be able to stomach anything.

"How can you that you are not hungry?" Liu Longwei said to her with a slight frown on his face, before turning to say to the butler.

"Get the kitchen to serve dinner."

"But I am not hungry. Really!!" Chen Lihua tried to convince him as she grabbed his arm.

"There is no problem if you are not hungry, but I hope there won't be one in watching your husband eat because I am hungry?" Liu Longwei asked as he peered into her face.

"There is no problem at all," Chen Lihua said. She didn't have any problem watching him eat.

She just hoped that the only thing she had to do was to sit and watch him eat, and nothing more.

Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei took the elevator to their bedroom.

"Do you need my help with showering?" Liu Longwei asked thoughtfully.

"No, thank you, I can help myself. Just stay around," Chen Lihua answered as she dropped her bag on the table before going into the bathroom.

Help her bath? Even if her brains were not functioning anymore. She couldn't trust that man she called her husband.

Well, he hasn't given her any reason to trust him in that area yet. So, for now, she will not allow him to help her with such a task.

Only if Liu Longwei knew his wife didn't trust him to help her with a bath, and not because she could take care of herself, he would have shed tears by now.

When Chen Lihua went into the bathroom, Liu Longwei picked up his phone to dial his mother's number, and Madam Liu picked on the first ring.

Not allowing him to talk, she spoke first with a worried tone, "Son, how is my daughter-in-law? Is she fine! Where is she? I want to speak to her?"

"Mum, calm down. Lihua is fine. We are at home now, but you can't speak to her. She is having her bath."

"She is taking her bath, and you left her alone?!" Madam Liu asked in an alarmed tone.

"Mum, what's the problem?" Liu Longwei asked in confusion. Was it now a bad thing to do so?

Listening to her son, Madam Liu felt that Liu Longwei was stupid for the first time in his life.

"So you have no idea of what you did wrong? It's not right to leave Lihua all alone after what she went through tonight. Do you even have a conscience? Don't you know that her mind will keep on wandering about and that she might do things wrongly? For example, she might mistake the cool water for the hot one or even put soap on the towel and use it to bath instead of a sponge. Do you understand what I mean now?" Madam Liu asked.

Madam Liu has already heard about what transpired that night from her husband Liu Huang, who got the information from Longwei, so she felt heartbroken for her daughter-in-law.

Liu Longwei felt that his mother was ridiculous and that her words were outrageous. How long did it take her to come up with those absurd thoughts?
