Chapter 401 - Looking for a way to deal with the Deputy Chief

"The more the merrier." Chen Lihua said as a pleasant smile appeared on her face.

She could tell her husband was jealous.

Liu Liwei has already started eating when they arrived.

Earlier when he left Liu Longwei's study, he went straight to the ground floor.

He sat at the dining area and asked a maid that greeted him to serve the food his sister-in-law ordered for him.

The servant already knew about the food, and she knew Liu Liwei was her Master's brother, so she hurried off to the kitchen.

When Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei came to the dining area, they saw Liu Liwei already eating.

Liu Liwei didn't want to give the food a moment off, so he continued eating without turning to look around despite knowing that someone just stepped in.

"Brother Liu, do you like the food so much?." Chen Lihua asked in surprise as she came to stand before him.

"Sister-in-law, you're awake?." Liu Liwei asked as he noticed her presence with an excited look on his face, but that excitement was immediately wiped off his face when his eyes came in contact with his brother's.

"Sister-in-law, the food is delicious, thank you!." Liu Liwei said to her as he resumed eating.

"You're welcome! By the way, you look so dashing." Chen Lihua complimented him as she sat on the dining chair.

Liu Liwei glanced at her, then at his brother's black face. He didn't dare to laugh before he would lose the food he was eating.

So with a little excitement hidden in his heart, he accepted the compliment with gratitude.

"Thank you, sister-in-law!." 

"Why are you complimenting him so early? Just wait till you see what he is putting on below." Liu Longwei said as he pulled out a seat beside his wife and sat down.

"Huh! What's wrong with his dressing?." Chen Lihua asked in surprise as she looked between her husband and her brother-in-law.

"When he stands up, you will see." Liu Longwei said to her as he gave a glare at Liu Liwei who had already abandoned the conversation.

He had to fill his stomach first, before anything, as his words might kick him out of the house before he can finish the food, and that would be a waste.

It was better to be quiet and enjoy the meal. Then if his words offend his brother later, and he gets kicked out because of it, he wouldn't mind.

This strategy of his was the best!

Three servants came out with more dishes and served them. Liu Longwei Longwei served his wife some food first, before serving himself.

The three of them are the food in silence. When Chen Lihua tried talking to Liu Liwei while eating, Liu Longwei stooped her.

"Don't talk while eating, it's a bad table manner."

Chen Lihua and Liu Liwei could only face their food.

After eating, Chen Lihua suggested to Liu Liwei to stay back for a while and play games with her since she was looking for excitement.

Liu Liwei would have happily agreed without any objection, but he remembered his brother was there, so he quickly turned to glance at him.

"I have work to do, take care of her, do not allow her to play too much." Liu Longwei said to Liu Liwei.

Then he came to stand in front of his wife, he pats her hair and leaned in to kiss her forehead. Next, he caressed her baby bump as he said, "Don't play for a long time, and don't lift anything heavy."

"Okay." Chen Lihua replied obediently with a blissful smile on her face, as she watched him caress her stomach.

When Liu Longwei left, Liu Liwei was still staring in the direction he left as he walked closer to Chen Lihua.

"Sister-in-law did brother let me accompany you?."

"Let's go." Chen Lihua replied with a smile on her face as she led the way.

Liu Liwei immediately followed behind her closely.

In the game room, Chen Lihua instructed him to turn on the music, while she glanced through the games, looking for an interesting one to play.

That day, Chen Lihua had fun. She observed that her husband and his brother were somewhat similar in some aspects.

Liu Liwei was a free spirit and doesn't mind his age when playing. But her husband was different, he had much restraint, and doesn't go overboard.

Chen Lihua concluded that his career developed him into whatever he was today.

As days went by, Chen Lihua's baby bump continued growing and was becoming more visible.

Today at the hospital, she almost clashed with the Deputy Chief of her department. The man never seems to stop tormenting her.

"Since your stomach started to grow, you've stopped working hard. It's nice to take my soot once again." The Deputy Chief taunted before walking away.

"Where in the world does he get that energy and persistence from?." Chen Lihua asked no one in particular. "It's fine, you can't handle this one." Chen Lihua replied as she continued to massage her toes.

"I can, let me give it a try." QB said as she took over from her.

"You are good with this." Chen Lihua said in a smile as she allowed her to massage her toes.

"Thank you, Ma'am." QB replied as she continued with her work.

Chen Lihua suddenly felt tickled, so she took her feet back forcefully as laughter escaped from her lips.

QB was surprised by her sudden action, but then she understood.

"Thank you! I'm fine now." Chen Lihua said gratefully as she moved her feet.

"I wish had another way to deal with that man. Just meeting him this morning already caused my feet to cramp up." Chen Lihua said to herself as she released a sigh.
