Chapter 560 THE CHANGE
Chaos was laying down under the shadow of the huge tree, sleeping soundlessly. He looked exactly the same like the last time Zuri saw him and she loved to see him so vulnerable like this.
Only in their realm, creature like Chaos would put their guard down, since no one could enter this realm, except for them or the people that he cherished and let in.
And Zuri just knew about that when Tia explained it a little bit detail to her. She didn't know the extend of trust that Chaos gave to her until that explanation.
"Why did you keep running away from me?" Kia sat down next to Chaos and then stared into his face, she was relieved that she finally managed to find him here. She didn't know that she could do something like this. "Why do you keep trying to solve everything alone when I said I want to be with you?"
Zuri extended her hand and played with Chaos's long, black hair, she brushed his hair away from his face and put his head on her laps, as she traced her fingers on his face.
This must be what happened when he disappeared years ago to recover his power and Zuri was not sure how long it would take for Chaos to be able to regain his consciousness like usual.
"You are so stubborn and have a very bad temper," Zuri mumbled, she traced his jaw and his lips, his pointed nose and his closed eyes. She wanted to touch him everywhere and every time. The feeling to see him like this made her restless. "Wake up, please... you have left me alone for so long on my own device, I need you now."
Zuri lowered her body, so she could rest her head against his. She could smell his scent very clearly and this brought calm to her anxiety.
"You told me that we can't live in this realm forever, because time doesn't change here. But, I really want to stay like this with you." Zuri sighed deeply. "I wish we can stay forever like this."
Leaves fell from the tree above them and the dusky sky became a little bit brighter, but the flowers withered.
"What is it? What happened here?"
The change was subtle, thus she didn't realize it at first, but then she looked around and knew there was something change with this whole situation.
"What happened here?" Zuri gritted her teeth when she looked up and the trees didn't stop shedding its leaves, as the wind was getting colder.
There was no way something change here, because this realm only resonated with Chaos. If something happened here, it meant, something happened to Chaos as well.
Zuri looked down at Chaos and her eyes grew wider to see how the man had opened his eyes and the eyes that looked at her was so dark, it was almost like she was staring at a dark hole that could suck your soul.
"Chaos?" Zuri was stupefied, she couldn't move anywhere, since she was the one, who put Chaos's head on her laps and more so, the way he looked at her made her unable to move, as if he was draining her strength.

"Uncle..." Rhea poked her head through the door and looked at Knox, who was pacing back and forth inside the room. He was frowning so hard.
"What is it?" Knox asked, his voice was like a guttural sound, but then he cleared his throat and asked again, this time with slight gentleness in it. "Is there something you want?"
Rhea tiptoed into the room, she was holding two of her dolls.
"Play with me, uncle," Rhea said, she showed two dolls of hers to Knox, who made a look.
"No."
"Why?"
"I don't play doll."
"Why?"
"Can you stop asking why?"
"Why?"
Knox could feel his headache was increasing, but somehow, his lips formed a smile, he didn't know what happened to him to have such contradictory feeling like this, but she must be crazy to agree to play with her.
"Where is your mother?"
"Mommy inside her room."
"Did you allow to come to this room?" Knowing July, she wouldn't have allowed Rhea to come near him at all.
The little girl shook her head. She talked in whispered. "Mommy thought I take a nap, but once mommy went away, I got up and ran here."
Knox didn't know whether he had to laugh or cry when he heard how she sneaked out on July.
"You should go back to your room."
"But, I want to play."
"You can play alone in your room."
Rhea dropped her hands that showed the two dolls, as they fell on the side of her body. She looked sad with her head hang so low and her chin touched her chest.
The look on her face bothered Knox and he clicked his tongue begrudgingly when Rhea turned around with her shoulders sagged and walked slowly toward the door.
"Let's play for five minutes," Knox said reluctantly, when he finally relented. The sight of her made him felt extremely bad.
But then, when she turned around after hearing his defeat, her eyes shone brightly and her face lit up, all the traces of sadness that gave Knox a headache had gone completely, poof, like smoke.
"Really?!" she asked cheerfully and then rushed toward him. "Let's play!"
For some reason, Knox felt like she was just being deceited. How could she change her mood in a split of second, but then he knew where she got this attitude.
If this was not coming from him, of course, it definitely July's fault. She used to do this to him in the past and she often got her way with it and now their daughter did exactly the same thing.
"Let's play!" Rhea pulled Knox toward the bed, so they could play there.
"Only for five minutes," Knox reminded her again, but she didn't seem to care.
"Okay, okay."
Seeing how care free she was, Knox had another question in his mind; does she know the concept of time already?
If she did not know about it, she wouldn't know how long five minutes was.
Knox felt his headache only got worst now.
=========================
"Your sister is inside, she usually doesn't go out very often," Liam told Sol, as they stopped in front of Jasmine's door.
It had been a while, since Liam came to this part of the pack house, because he didn't want to see Jasmine, he felt suffocated, because every time she saw her, that child would be close to her.
The child that she conceived with another man. She kept the baby not because she suddenly grew a motherly instinct, but because she wanted to despise him, mock him.
But then, Liam couldn't kill the child, because in that way, he would admit the rumor about the child was not his and Jasmine had cheated on him was true.
For him, that was another slap of humiliation and his ego and pride was too big to admit such thing.
"Go on, you can meet your sister just like I have promised you," Liam said, as he twisted the door knob and let Sol to go inside.
Sol looked a little bit reluctant, because of how gloomy this room was, but when he heard noise sound from inside, he stepped in.
"Jasmine?" Sol called her name, the name felt so strange in his tongue. He closed the door behind him.
However, before he could venture further into the bedroom, there was a little girl around the age of five approached him. n).o))V.)e()l).b--1(.n
"Who are you? I have never seen you before," Kenna asked Sol, she needed to crane her neck to see him, because he was too tall for her.
"You must be Kenna," Sol said, as he stopped walking and slightly bent his body to look at the girl. Liam had told him earlier that there would be one of Jasmine's child inside the room that always stuck with her and didn't want to leave her mother's side.
"Yes," the little girl answered brightly, because Sol knew her name, she looked at him curiously. "Who are you? Mommy is sleeping, she will get angry if you wake her up," Kenna spoke in whispery tone.
She looked scared if her mother was woken up by this noise.
"It's okay, I need to talk to her, she needs to wake up." Sol ruffled her hair and then proceeded to walk into the room, where he saw a huge bed, where Jasmine was laying on it.
He came closer and his heart sunk to see Jasmine's current condition, she didn't look like the sister that he knew all this time, even in his worst imagination, he didn't think he would see her like this.
She looked so pale and skinny, as if there was no longer flesh on her body, only bones and skin.
"What the hell is happening?" He thought, because she was a luna of the pack, she must have been treated nicely. After all, she was not someone that would give up a fight easily.
Was this few years had been so hard on her that it broke her spirit and mentality?
"Jasmine." Sol shook her body, but the little girl came to him and pulled on his jacket, as she shook her head.
"Don't wake mommy up, she will get mad, really, really mad," she said in small voice.
