After all that, the first day of third grade was over and it was after school. The classes are getting harder and harder, but we help each other out when we don’t understand something, so our grades aren’t bad. Last year, we had a new member, Patty, but we were able to take first place again.

Patty and Nora also raised their hands cheerfully and insisted. I smiled at them and called out to the rest of my classmates.

“If you’re coming to my house, please follow me. Kudelica and Urka will go with Ryuuze?”

“That’s what I’ll do! I promised Mizuki-san that I would.”

Kuderica and Urka are going to the guild with Ryuuze. As a result, Makina, Luciel, Nora, Patty, and Jack are coming to our house.

The guild club has grown in number, and several members from other classes have joined the club. It’s a great way for aspiring adventurers to get some real-world experience. However, they need a teacher to lead them, so when we asked Tigre-sensei.

Patty was disappointed that she hadn’t been given her symbol as a friend yet. She’s been going to our house for that reason.

We each shouted as we entered the house, and soon we heard the sound of small footsteps pattering by.

“Ni-sha! Oaeri!”

Aina came running at a dangerous pace, and when she saw me, she hugged my legs tightly. Sarge flew through the air and landed in Nora’s arms.

I can’t move like this, so I hand my bag to Makina and take Aina in my arms. She’s still light, so there’s plenty of room.

“De-nisha, oaeri!”

Aina reached out to claim brother’s face and rubbed her cheek against it. It’s not that she don’t like him, but Aina often hugs me or sits on my lap.

“Ai!”

Luciel shakes her small hand and says so, and Sarge opens his mouth.

“Heh~, Sarge takes good care of her, so that helps.”

“Sarge’s just like a father.”

As Nora said, the way he folded his arms and nodded his head in agreement was just like a father raising his child. I think I want to let him relax in his large size sometimes.

“Speaking of which, where’s Mom? I don’t think she’ll leave Aina alone, even though Sarge is here?”

“Is that so?”

As Sarge said, Nina quit her job as a maid when she married Hauzen-san. She shook her head and said she didn’t need the retirement pay because of the incident, but Dad insisted, so he gave her the house on the hill where we used to live.

Nina’s mother and Hauzen-san live there now. Hauzen-san’s life of constant business trips has come to a halt, and he was happy to have a clear idea of what he needed to do with the other guilds in other towns.

I remember him talking with Mom and Verna-sensei the last time he was at our house, saying that he wanted to show Nina’s mother his grandchildren soon.

“If Dad and Mom are handling it, they’re probably in the reception room? I’m going to go. Can anyone look after Aina–“

“No!”

“…… I don’t think it’s possible, so I’ll take her with me.”

“Hahaha, she sure likes Lars. Then, can I go to your room now?”

“Yeah. Yes, please. Sarge, come with me too.”

Sarge pulled away from Nora’s hand and climbed onto my head. Aina reached out to me, but I patted her on the back to calm her down and headed for the reception room. Now then, I wonder if they found a craftsman ……?
