–After having breakfast, we were soon on our way to the inn where Himmel-san was staying. Now that we can’t find Lux, it’s probably the Lord’s family that should be dusted out first. For that, Himmel-san’s cooperation is a must.
“Breakfast was delicious!”
“Yeah ……But it’s nothing compared to Lars-kun’s hamburgers …… I can’t wait to go home!”
“Don’t be childish. It’s important to take your time and assess the situation carefully.”
“Fath-san is right. To be honest, I don’t know what’s going on unless I find Lux. In the worst-case scenario, we might have to take Naja to Illuminate town and hide her.”
I whispered, and Fath-san lowered her shoulders and laughed.
“Ho-ho, Lars knows what he’s talking about. What do you think, Makina?”
“Huh!? M-Me?”
“Yes. It’s good that you trust Lars, but you have to use your head to be able to respond flexibly. Wisdom is only possible when we share it.”
Fath-san said that this was part of her training and encouraged her to express her thoughts. Makina put a finger to her lips and replied in a whisper, looking up.
“Um …… I think that Lux disappeared because he found out some secret. I don’t know what it is, but I think the reason Basleigh-sensei and the others from the castle decided to come was to uncover it, I guess? And now that Himmel-san is here, maybe that’s why he’s coming out?”
“I think that’s likely …… If he’s going to take the opportunity to come out, he should do it soon.”
When I said that’s what I think too, Fath-san nodded her head and opened her mouth in satisfaction.
“I think that’s a good instinct. Well, it looks like we’ve arrived.”
“Right. Well, I’m sorry to interrupt your rest, but we must say hello.”
“We don’t need to for my brother.”
Laughing at the unreliable voice of Basleigh-sensei, we opened the door to the luxurious-looking inn. The first thing we saw when we entered is a beautiful waiting room that looks like a lobby, but it’s nothing like the inn Orff showed us.
“What is this place!? It’s a really nice inn, isn’t it!? Big brother! Big brother!”
“Shut up, Basleigh-sensei! It’s morning, so be a little quieter!”
“Oh, yes, of course. I just saw someone I know, so let’s ask him.”
Basleigh-sensei said and called out to a knight who was resting nearby. The man looked at Basleigh-sensei, lowered his shoulders, and told her where Himmel-san’s room was.
“‘Don’t annoy Himmel-sama too much, okay?”
“Wahahahaha! It’s a little late for that, and I’m having trouble with my brother, too.”
“Well, we’ll take turns resting, but if you need the knights, call me.”
Basleigh-sensei smiled, raised one hand in greeting, and headed for the room where he had told us. Basleigh-sensei took a deep breath and muttered a few words.
“Charge ……!”
“‘Wait, wait, wait!? Why did it turn to that! Let’s just knock normally.”
“Just in case we should do a surprise attack on him and make his limbs unable to move ……!”
“Why …… Makina, stop her and I’ll knock. Excuse me, this is Lars-Irving. I was told that Himmel-san’s room is this way.”
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!?”
I knock on the door while Makina clasped her hands behind her back. Then, a woman who seemed to be an attendant quietly opened the door for me.
“Ah!? Isn’t that Minister Basleigh!? Why did you go ahead of me? If anything happens, it would be Minister Basle who will get scolded, you know!”
“Tch …… I knew you were there, Lime-san. That’s why I wanted to take you by surprise.”
“You were going to do that to her!? …… W-Well, whatever, it’s going to be a long one, so can I see Himmel-san?”
“Fufu, Minister Basleigh is still the same …… It must be hard for you? Yes, he’s tired from all the fighting with the monsters, but just a little will be fine. Come on in.”
We were invited into the room by the woman called Lime, and our eyes met Himmel-san’s as he sat at the table drinking tea. He put his cup on the table and opened his mouth.
“Good morning. We’ve just arrived, but it’s amazing you knew that.”
“Yes, I was just watching you come in. Did you have a good fight?”
“I see. Well, it doesn’t matter either way, I was able to shorten the time of contact. And I fought quite a bit with the monsters, I’d say this is an unusual situation. I came here because of Lux-kun, but I might have to ask you about that too.”
Himmel-san smiled, but he clearly looked tired. I’m sure it’s a pain in the ass to deal with those numbers without a wizard.
“I think I have some information, but we’re going to take a break until noon. I’m sorry about that.”
“No, we’re the ones who barged in this morning, so I’m sorry too. The reason we came here was to report our whereabouts and to ask when we would be going to the Lord’s mansion.”
“Oh, I see. Yes, we should head there after lunch. Is there anything else I can do for you?”
So we’re not going to head out early after an all-nighter, I guess.
When Himmel-san said this, Basleigh-sensei took a seat at the table before we knew it and opened her mouth over a cup of tea.
“The man who caused the problem, Lux-kun, according to my information, is not guilty. I haven’t seen him, so I don’t know, but the current situation is gray that is almost white. But I want you to go ahead and ask like you don’t know. I’ve got a few more questions I want to ask them, after all.”
I’m sure it’s about the documents she was looking at yesterday, and she lowered her shoulders with a slightly fed up look on her face.
“I’ve got it, little sister. Now, did you mention that you want be my hug pillow?”
“I didn’t talk about that at all, though? If you don’t want to become a victim of a freak incident, go to bed early.”
“We used to be so close when we were little.”
“Yes, I want to hear it!”
“Shut up, big brother! Makina, you don’t have to listen to such uninteresting stories! Now, let’s go home for now. We’ll stay here at the inn.”
“W-Wait, please don’t push me!”
After ending the conversation and putting down the map, Basleigh-sensei got up and pushed Makina to leave the inn.
We didn’t want to lose track of each other, so we passed the time by playing with Sephiro at the inn and watching Makina’s training, and then we went back to the lord’s mansion.
Now we have all the actors!
Thank you for reading!
