“In the meantime, can you build me a bear shed and a dog …… wolf shed? We’ll put the stables back up in the corner over there.”

The day before, Leor-san and I had dinner at a restaurant and had a good time. I need to fulfill the design request, but first I need to create a comfortable environment for the monsters, so I call Daihachi-san, a carpenter, through Fath-san.

We decided to leave Fath-san’s cabin as it was, since it was meant to be a barricade, and asked her to make a location for the stables and a rain shelter for the Parent Bear and Wolf.

“Now, please work hard, Daihachi-san!”

“Why are you the one in charge!? I thought the client is Lars-san!”

“Basleigh-sensei, are you done with your business in the castle?”

“Yes, I’ve finished my report, and I’ve only got a few tasks to delegate to my men, so I’m …… cooperating today!”

…… I’m not going to play though, I thought, as I give Daihachi-san instructions and Basleigh-sensei interferes. In the meantime, each of the monsters is being taken care of.

The Parent Bear stands in the corner of the yard with her arms outstretched as Makina’s practice partner. The parent snow tiger and Wolf were lounging in the house, while the child snow tiger was squirming on my shoulder.

“Well, it’s good that it’s lively. I’m sure Aina and Nora would be very happy to be here.”

“Fuh …… Well, I’m sure they won’t be surprised by a deadly bear since they have Sarge.”

“Oh, Makina, are you finished?”

“Yes. The parent bear is generally hard, so she’s good for practicing techniques. Maybe I’ll ask her again? Rather than that, I’m sure Aina-chan and Nora will be happy. Nora even shivered when she saw the little bear during the competition.”

When the time comes, it might be a good idea to invite them through Sarge. Helena is here, and I want the monsters to meet with Sarge too. Then, Chelle came to me with the little Bear.

“Hey, Oniichan, don’t you have a name for the little bear? You should give him a name like Sephiro.”

“Oh, you’re right. I’ve been so busy since I got back that I forgot.”

Well, that’s partly because I was going to send him back to the forest. But I’ve already decided to keep him. It would be a bit pitiful to call him little Bear or Parent Bear.

“All right, then, let’s think of a name together.”

“Whoa!? When did you guys ……”

The moment I said I would name them, they all sat down in front of me. Especially Wolf and mother Snow Tiger, who should’ve been in the house. Oh well, I thought as we sat in our chairs.

“I think we should start with the Viking Wolf? I think he’s the easiest to give one.”

“Really? What kind of name?”

“Yeah. How about “Hachi” for this one?”

It’s the name of a dog that’s famous for being a loyal dog, and people in this world probably don’t know that, but I’m confident in telling them.

“What!? What’s with the face!?”

The Viking Wolf was looking at me with cloudy eyes. I felt like he was saying, “Honestly, I’m disappointed”. Then Makina smiled with a troubled face.

“It’s cute. It’s cute, but I’m not sure it’s the right name for him.”

“Right, I think he’d be better off with something cooler for his name.”

“Oh, Fath-san. Hmm, I see.”

Fath-san came over to us with a cup of tea and joined the conversation. Plus, Basleigh-sensei approached us with an amused look on her face.

“Oh, you’re naming him? Hmm, for Mr. Wolf, huh …… Let’s see, I would name him Pochi ……!”

“Gauwau!”

“Ohhhh!? It isn’t good for a tamed monster to bare your fangs at your master, you know! I’ll be your opponent! Come on!”

“Woof!”

I don’t know where the hell she got it from, but Basleigh-sensei wrapped some kind of cushion around her arm, guiding the Wolf to bite her …… I’ve seen this before in police dog training …… Anyhow, a cool name, huh.

“Liger …… Isn’t that for a lion? It’s got white fur, so Zero …… I guess not”

“How about Fang? That sounds cool.”

“Oh, I like that, Master! I’m thinking Schneider, tearing you up! Doesn’t he have a feeling like that?”

Makina swings her hand sword in an upside-down motion, cutting through the air. Schneider, huh …… I think it also means “tailor”. The furs are magnificent, and that might be a good thing.

“Okay, then let’s pick that for the Viking Wolf! Hey, Wolf, come here.”

“Woof♪”

“Good, good, you’re so smart. From now on, your name is Schneider!”

“! Aooooooooooooo!”

He seemed to like it, howled like never before, and pounced on me. He squinted in satisfaction as I squeezed his neck and began to charge again at Basleigh-sensei.

“Noooooo!?”

“Okay, next is ……”

“The little Bear! I’ve thought of a great name for the little bear!”

“Oh, Chelle did? What kind of name?”

“Ash, because it’s a boy and his hair is gray.”

Well, that’s not bad, I thought.

Deadly bears have gray fur on their backs and brown on their stomachs. The gray fur is a natural armor that becomes very stiff when they are excited, and is able to withstand attacks. I stroked his head and asked.

“Are you okay with Ash?”

Apparently, it’s okay, because he grabs my hand with both of his and rubs his cheek against mine. Hmmm, this guy is really a spoiled brat …… I wonder if he’ll be brave when he grows up.

“What about the parent bear?”

“Well, how about Radia?”

It looks like the name of a certain bear, but it has a nice ring to it …… She’s very enthusiastic about it, so I think we’ll go with the name Chelle said. She plays with Sephiro too, after all.

“Then you are Radia. I’m looking forward to working with you!”

“Grruuoooon!”

Radia also howled with joy and charged at Basleigh-sensei.

“Why meeeee!?”

“Well, then, next is to remodel the house–“

“Nyaan!”

“Grrr!”

When I was about to go back to work, the snow tiger mother and child tugged on my sleeve, telling me to wait. What? I thought, I scratched my head and picked up the little snow tiger and said.

“I can’t give you names because you’re being kept at Tanji-san’s facility, but ……”

“Fnya!?”

“Garrr!?”

The two of them wagged their whiskers and tails and looked very disappointed as they sagged down.

The snow tigers …… How pitiful. Oh, by the way, there should be a father snow tiger ……
