When the Grand Dragon closed his eyes and laughed, holding up a finger at Tigre-sensei’s words, Jack continued.

“So we’re okay? Roza didn’t say anything, but I feel like he’s going to say he doesn’t want to meet humans ……”

When he peeled back my robe-like clothing, he saw blood spurting from the same spot on his leg where Tigre had just attacked him. When Aina saw this, she squealed in surprise.

“You’re bleeding, Grandpa!?”

The Grand Dragon was about to walk away, but Aina and Tilia hurriedly grabbed him by his protruding tail and tried to hold him back.

“You can’t! My mom always says that if you get hurt, you have to treat it!”

“That’s right! Mom always used recovery magic on me!”

“Yes, Aina always heals with Sarge’s blood, so I’ll ask Sarge.”

Grand Dragon looked at Aina with a hint of a smile, and Tilia looked at her questioningly. 

“What is it?”

“…… No, it’s nothing. We should hurry up.”

“Wow, as expected of Sarge! He’s healed!”

The Grand Dragon followed Tigre and the others, turning its red eyes to Sarge and Aina as it did when it was a dragon.

And as they walked through the maze, they began to encounter more and more monsters.

“Giant Bat! Dragon cat, knock it down!”

“Sarge, go for it!”

“Dad, can I use my magic?”

“Yeah, you should practice! Mom doesn’t like it when I do this, after all.”

“Yeah! !”

They defeated giant bats, Huge Spiders, and other large monsters, and hurried on. The Grand Dragon didn’t offer any particular help, and just followed behind.

Jack was unhappy with this, and his mouth was agape.

“Hey, old dragon, it’s fine if you don’t want to help us kill the monsters, but you should show the way.”

“Jack, your grandfather is right. We should get through this on our own.”

“Heh …… Sarge, let’s [Collaboration]! Fireball from the hand!”

“You can do that too!? Heh, you’re growing up, guys!”

Jack touched Sarge and used his skills to recreate Sarge’s fireball. Tigre’s eyes opens widely in surprise as he defeated the attacking monsters.　

“Do you want a name, Grandpa?”

“Kuoon?”

“Ash is weak-minded, so it can’t be helped.”

“Kuoon!? Kuon! Kuon!”

As Ash hugged Aina’s leg in protest, the Grand Dragon translated for him, and Ash sniffed in satisfaction.

But then, the Grand Dragon lifts Ash up and looks at him, and tells him as if to warn him.

“K-Kuoon ……”

“Ash is still a baby, so Aina thinks that it’s fine!”

“Kuoon ……”

Aina snatched him away from him and shouted at the Grand Dragon. 

“I don’t care! Ash is Aina’s friend, so when he grows up, he’ll be as cool as Radia.”

“…… Kuoon!”

“Ah!? Ash!”

“He’s gone ……”

“Do you want to make Ash stronger, Grandpa? Oh, Aina have to help too!”

The Grand Dragon crossed his arms and smiled as Aina ran off.

“They’re defeated, old dragon! We’re going first!”

As Tigre and the others continued through the maze, they kept running into dead ends and battling monsters until they found a staircase that led down to the bottom of the maze, just in time for dinner.

“Whoaaaaa ……. We finally found it …… and the stairs are huge …….”

“What? Damn it, we’ll take a break when we get down there! I knew the dungeon would be tough, but I didn’t think it would take half a day to find one staircase ……”

“……?”

The Grand Dragon chuckled and Jack wondered what he meant, but he soon found out.

“…… Isn’t it kind of cold”

“Do you think so, Tilia-chan? Aina’s been thinking it’s getting cooler too. Ash, can you give Tilia-chan a hug for me?”

“Kuoon.”

Ash’s fur isn’t as stiff as Radia’s yet, so Tilia holds him like a stuffed animal. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I saw a pale, slender dragon sitting dexterously on his haunches.

“…… So he’s the next gatekeeper. I’m a little tired, but how are you doing Sarge?”

As Sarge stepped forward, the slender dragon’s eyes slowly opened.

The slender dragon sat down, and just as they thought he was going to open his mouth, he unleashed a breath from his mouth!
