Each picture I explained anonymously below. Of course I wouldn't reveal my identity, just say that I was a passing bystander who happened to see what they were doing.

Some people started to guess that since I was in such a hurry to speak up for Lu Weian, I might very well be her.

I really can't stand watching those insults. No matter how strong I am, I can't pretend to be relaxed and casual.

I looked up at the man still sleeping on the bed in front of me, swallowed hard, got up, helped him cover the corner of the quilt, and went out.

At the entrance of the infirmary, I look at the empty corridor and occasionally hear the sound of the teacher knocking on the blackboard in the classroom.

I leaned against the wall and slid slowly down the cool line of my back to sit on the floor, hugging my knees, tears streaming down my face.

In the past in the United States, everyone was like that. Everyone seemed incompatible, and no friend could represent this person's character, let alone become the target of the students' attacks just because of a few gossips.

When I first arrived in America, I couldn't stand the loneliness anymore. I called my father, but nine times out of ten he was the assistant, and he was either in a meeting or had a meeting with the regional assistant on the plane. I couldn't tell him about my sorrows, and I got used to it over time.

But now, not only do I have to endure the loneliness, I also have to endure the insults and attacks that come out of nowhere. I don't think I did anything wrong, but …

Tears streamed down my face as I covered my head in tears. Suddenly, I heard the sound of metal colliding with metal above my head.

I looked up suspiciously. It was Peng Haobai, holding his IV bottle in one hand and his needle in the other, frozen in midair, ready to come out. But the rack with the IV bottle was too high, so when I walked out, I collided with the edge of the door.

"Peng Haobai, why did you come out!" I stood up with a frown and said stiffly, "If you want to go to the toilet, why didn't you call me? Then why didn't you go around randomly and wrestle?"

He was standing in front of me with one hand raised, one hand stiff, his hair unkempt, his clothes untidy, and an unspeakable heartache in his eyes.

"I saw your cell phone on the bed."

Mobile phone … Didn't he see all the addresses I just searched?

"I was afraid that you would feel sad, so I came to look for you …"

"You're stealing glances at my phone!" When my thoughts were discovered, I could only cover my panic with anger. I raised my head and roared at Peng Haobai: "How can you do such a shameless thing!"

Peng Haobai was completely confused by my scolding. "It's not something I want to see … "It's your cell phone. Its screen is big and it's still lit up. I glanced out of the corner of my eye and saw it."

"You don't need to quibble. I won't forgive you!"

"Are all girls so unreasonable when they're angry?" Peng Haobai placed the support on the ground and extended his hand out towards me.

"Just let me hug, just hug, and everything will be fine."

"Scram!" My self-awareness was so strong that I never liked it when people were too close to me, especially when he saw me crying.

As he drew closer, I backed away, but he was restrained by a metal bracket. He could only stand a few centimeters away from the door and look at me from afar.

"Come over here."

"I don't want it."

The two of us stayed like this for a while, and then he asked me again.

"Are you sure you don't want to come over?"

"I'm sure."

I looked at Peng Haobai, and he suddenly started laughing with pursed lips. Then, as if he didn't have the metal frame that held him, he walked towards me unhindered.

"Hey!" Peng Haobai, you must be crazy! "

When the brace hit the doorjamb, it made a loud noise. The needle in my hand was slightly crooked. I was so scared that I immediately went over and pressed down on his shoulder. "Don't move!"

First of all, I steadied the guy, then I used my free hand to steady the support on the side that was about to fall. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw traces of blood seeping out of the tube, and I stomped my feet in anger.

"Isn't your body the same as yours? Even pulling your hand doesn't hurt?"

Peng Haobai laughed shamelessly, but he didn't care about it at all. He released his other hand that didn't have a wound on it, and held onto my waist with his motionless expression. I suddenly felt someone pushing me from behind, and my entire body fell onto Peng Haobai's body uncontrollably!

"Shameless!"

I shouldn't have cared about him, just let him fend for himself!

"Xiao Wei, you must be sad. Just tell me, who made you unhappy, and I'll make his entire family unhappy."

"A fool called Peng Haobai offended me."

His smile, and the warmth of it, spread across my forehead.

"Then I'll apologize to you. I'll spend my entire life apologizing to you, okay?" He was the one who forced me to carry him, the one who was half a head taller than me, the one who had the advantage no matter how I looked at him, but when I spoke, he was soft like a spoiled child.

It would be a waste to give him such a tall figure.

"I'll take care of things online. Don't worry, even if the sky collapses, I'll still be able to handle it for you."

I was shackled by one of Peng Haobai's hands. He had a lot of strength, and I did not dare to easily struggle as I was afraid that I would harm him again. And so it went, until his words flowed into my heart like a stream, and my clenched fists finally relaxed.

His words were truly pleasant to hear, so gentle and considerate. In addition to those beautiful peach blossom eyes, just which girl could resist such a gentle offensive?

I wanted to believe him. I wanted to rely on him to help me deal with all those unprovoked injuries, but I couldn't.

Because I once believed in a man, but he taught me with practical actions that pinning hope on a man is the highest loss.

After thinking about it, I no longer hesitated and stretched out my hand to push Peng Haobai away.

"Alright, alright, hurry up and go lie down."

I didn't look at him with my head lowered. After I coldly finished speaking, I reached out to help Peng Haobai in, so he could lean against the headboard of the bed.

"Your hand is bleeding. I'll call the teacher to let you see, so you can obediently lie there and don't move."

"Then come back quickly."

"You talk too much."
