Chapter 2 - Careless, Consequences

The night was incredible. Alex and Paula had a date in the hotel's cafe. They laugh that they will marry and go in a far place together. Alex drink a strawberry juice only to know that it taste like blood. He goes to the butler to see more information. The butler wants Alex to follow him in the kitchen only to attack him because he is a vampire. Alex grabs a pan and knock the butler's head with it. He return to Paula and convince her to leave. Alex goes to his room and grab a gun from the mysterious guy. When someone knocks his door, he tries to aim at the door. It's Steve, even if Alex almost shoots him.

"Hey, Alex. Wow. No need to aim on me, I'm not a Vampire."

"I know. I screwed up lately. Anyways, what are you doing here?"

"It's Olive's birthday. Just to heads up, she's my girlfriend and I would like you to meet her."

"Alright. When's the party going on?"

"Probably 7 AM."

It's 7 AM and Alex is going to the party right now. He hears an noise called his name in a dark empty room but Alex is afraid to go so he ignored it. The door of the dark room got opened by something. Alex appears in the party and he finally meets Olive.

Age: 20

Current Occupation: Bartender

"Hello, Alex. Steve told me a lot about you."

"Hello. It's really nice to meet you."

"What a polite friend you have, Steve."

"Of course, he's the only guy i can trust."

They party really hard until they drunk. Finally, Alex feels uncomfortable. He goes to the bathroom and get assaulted by a Vampire. Probably, that was a dream. He tried to tell Steve what's going on but he's drunk. He goes to get his gun and go to the bathroom. Nobody was there. So he leave the party and take a nap on his room. Paula appears and trying to wake him up but he's too sleepy. So, she slapped Alex and he finally wakes up. She just want to say that she would like to go Vampire Hunting. Alex would like to go but Paula prevents him because it's too dangerous. He listens to Paula but he should help her wisely.

On the next day, Alex goes to the grocery store to buy some milk. He finds a wallet with somebody's name, "Stan Bille". He refuses to find the guy and he keeps the money to himself. The wallet has 500,000 dollars and a credit card. Later on, he buys a fancy bottle of gr.a.p.e juice and he invited a lot of people for a party. He buys a lot of expensive shirts until he almost didn't remember who Paula is. He party a lot with other Vampire Hunter.

It's been days and Paula haven't arrived at the hotel. She calls Alex but she didn't answer because he sleeps with two girls. Alex didn't want her to know so he refuses to answer the call. He goes back to her sister's home with an arrogant style of walking into her house.

"Alex? Where did you get all of those expensive stuff? You know that you always ask money from me. But how did you get this all?"

"I get it because I help a man finding his wallet and he gives me 500,000 dollars."

"That's so sweet of you but, are you sure? Your Consequences can be lying there."

"This is a gift, not a result of heist."

"O-okay."

He lies to Gwen that he would find himself a sin that he haven't did in his life. Only because of his richness. Later in a deserted land, Paula is processing to go home but it's stormy so she can't see. She goes onto a graveyard just to find lots of Vampire's. She attacks a lot of Vampire but she couldn't stand a chance. She got bite in the neck but she didn't get infected. Instead, she's dying.

The other Vampire Hunters is trying to save her but the other Vampires attacked. She's running out of blood. So, another Vampire Hunter called Alex. Meanwhile, Alex phone is ringing so he finally answers.

"Hello, boi. Alex here."

"Alex! Paula is dying! You need to get here fast!"

"Who's Paula?"

"Your girlfriend!!"

Alex dropped his phone and he finally remembers Paula. He goes to his Ferrari that he buys and goes to the Graveyard. He finally arrives. All of the Vampire Hunters are dead. Paula is dying but he's too late to save her. Paula is dead, and Alex screams for the sin he just made.

"I'm really sorry, Paula. I knew I had to be better but I can't. I'm really sorry to see you die. I should be there for you, so we could just die together. I'm sorry."

The last Vampire appears in front of Alex and he tries to challenge Alex but he fills himself with sadness until the Vampire tells him that he killed Paula. And now, Alex is filled with anger and avenge. He punches the Vampire and he got an electric shock in his body. He grabs the Vampire's head and bashes it with his own head. He finally punches the Vampire like an abnormal superhero until the Vampire's head is bashed to pieces. He finally regrets his sins and remember the word Gwen gives him, "Your Consequences can be lying there." He finally screams toward the sky.
