Julie Tan looked at her mama. Disappointment hidden at the bottom of her heart. She didn't reply and simply bowed her head as clinched her fists without her mother knowing.

Elvira Wei thought that her daughter understood and took her words to heart. After all, aside from her fondness for Rawlf, Julie has been an obedient and loving daughter. Elvira embraced her and lightly caressed her back. She is a mother, and she knew that it's hard for a woman to know that the man they love is already engaged to another woman. "Vivi,are you really sure about this. It has only been few months since you have that man. I think it's much better for you in getting to know him more.

"Pa, I get your point. Because rationally, if at the end, Rawlf turned up to be not the kind of man I expect him to be, it's not only me but also the kids who will be affected. That's why like I said, I'm bringing him with me once we return in Country R when send the kids back. It's also for the rest of you to get to know him personally. Anyway, it is but just an engagement. We are yet to set our wedding but that would still be far ahead since I've got to settle some things here first."

Veronica smiled gently. Indeed, her parents parenting is different from the rest of the strict and traditional way of Country P. Maybe because her father was an orphan who strived and later became successful. And maybe because at the early stage of his life, his father didn't grow up with family like others. Therefore, his kind of parenting was all about advices and guidance. It's also one of the reason why he felt closer to Zero. He and her father has the same circumstances.

Give it time and let's try knowing him better, not as he is known from your circle, but how he is privately, with our daughter and grandchildren."

Rawlf had been listening beside Veronica as she talk to her parents through the phone. 'It seems like a long way to go before achieving the in laws acceptance.' He thought. Then he smirked. Eddie Wang is a simple and good man. Showing his sincerity towards Veronica and being filial to them like how a normal son in law would to his in laws, would be enough to acquire their trust and acceptance. Small thing.
