In a room that looked like it was cleaned just now, a woman was looking at the screen of her laptop. A cup of sizzling tea was placed right next to her, a part of her daily routine but she wasn't even touching it.
It was going cold but she didn't care to drink it. Her whole focus was on the screen in front of him, the words written on it. One news after another.
Actually, she was just browsing through her socials as a daily routine to see what people were saying about her.
It had become another habit as she had gotten sensitive to things.
This was something she couldn't ignore as being in her place, there were people always talking about her. Being a centre of attention was not easy especially when the attention was put on by the media.
Daily, there would be malicious tabloids about her making it look like she was sleeping with everyone in the industry and how she was buying up awards. It was done by rival companies to put a dent on her image.
Her company would handle it most of the time but it was still taking an effect on her.
She had gotten better in recent times though.
As she was reading through the articles and people's comments, a post was suddenly recommended to her. It was a post by a person who would rarely come on social media and she would often just stalk him to see what he was doing in his career.
She clicked on his post and while reading it, her eyes went wide.
'He's making a comeback.'
That was wild news to her as she had assumed that he had given up on his singing career. Maybe not given up but he was way more focused on his acting career that was just going upwards.
If they went by popularity, he was much more popular than her due to his movies right now.
'Why is he suddenly making a comeback? Just when I was preparing another mini album? Is he doing it deliberately? No, he's not that type.'
She thought in her mind as she let out a frown.
It was then that her phone started to ring.
She saw it was her assistant and picked up the call. Though, she wasn't in any mood to talk suddenly.
"Miss Rachel, good morning. I'm downstairs ready with the car. We need to go to the studio today to record the first song and then, there are a few meetings today too."
He said in a low voice after making his greeting.
"Cancel the recording session. No, shift it to the evening. I will first attend the meetings. There's something important we need to take care of."
She said and her assistant didn't seem to have any understanding of what she was talking about but he still nodded his head and cut the call.
He cancelled the meeting right away and informed her agent about it.
'It seems like we are again going to be rivals if your post is what I'm thinking.'
Rachel thought in her mind.
From the last time they had met, a lot had changed. She had now more power than she could imagine but Aiden had still been someone who she thought of as a big rival even now.
Although she had defeated Aiden during the reality show, he had undoubtedly won every other battle in their careers.

Other than Rachel, there were also other people who were surprised to see Aiden's post. Out of them, Grey who was already on the verge of retirement was very happy after finding out that Aiden was making a comeback.
He even commented on the post.
[Grey: Excited to see what you would conjure up this time.]
His comment alone got over 20k likes. Other than him, there were singers who looked up to Aiden as he was one of the few who had come out of a reality show and made a name for himself.
The judges of X-Star also commented as they have always supported the contestants that had made it big from their show.
On the other hand, there were people who weren't happy.
These people were the ones who had lost to him in streaming sales and other stuff when he was releasing music and they were still salty about him.
After all, humans were very petty sometimes.
Out of all these, there was one person who was not surprised seeing Aiden hinting at a comeback. He was someone who knew Aiden very well, especially in recent times.
'He's finally making a comeback.'
He was sitting in his car when he had seen Aiden's message and before he knew it, he was smiling.
"Ah, he finally got bored of movies."
Cameron thought as he leaned against his seat. After the release of [Agnas], he had asked Aiden about his plans for songs going forward.
After all, they had been part of a movie that had taught them a lot musically. Especially Aiden who seemed to have been inspired by Agnas.
He wanted to know how Aiden's music would improve after that but the answer he had gotten was that Aiden wanted to focus on movies. Maybe he was already in talks to play Kai again back then.
That's why he moved away from singing.
But now, he was back and Cameron couldn't be more happy.
"Ah, I really want to know what type of music you would come up with, my friend."
He said and just stayed there for a while, thinking of Aiden's old songs. Cameron wanted to know how much Aiden had improved and what type of new songs he would compose.
Just in those thoughts, he felt like good days were ahead for him as a music lover.

"It looks like the reaction online has been very positive."
Aiden said and looked at the countless messages in front of him. Almost all of them were positive and he even replied to a few that were from the people who knew him and to a few fans.
It looked like a lot of people had been looking forward to an album from him.
"Doesn't it put pressure on you to make a great album this time? You look very relaxed."
Wade said as he came into the meeting room. Aiden was still in his office, talking more about the themes of the album and other things the whole day.
"It does but I have ideas. My skills have gone up after [Agnas]. I'm actually excited to work with the bands to make some good music."
When Aiden said that, Wade sat down and smiled. It looked like he had some good news for Aiden.
"Well, regarding that, we got some leads. We talked to a few bands and singers that were active during those times and a few of them looked interested. Although, most of them straight up said no as they have just retired or their vocals have gone bad."
"So, who you got?" Aiden asked curiously.
"We are still looking at the 70s. Most singers from that time are actually dead. Others can't even hold a guitar. There's a female singer from the late 80s who agreed, so we might get the deal with her but from the 90s, we got someone special."
"Who?"
Wade made an expression like he had a pleasant surprise for Aiden before revealing it.
"You know of "The Boys" right?"
Aiden nodded when he heard that word. "The Boys" was the most popular band in the 90s and they were artists that were popular all over Asia and had the record of selling out a concert completely in Japan back then.
Though in the 2000s, they have retired after their vocalist left the band for a solo career.
"I contacted all the members. Three of them agreed to come back for a collaboration while the fourth one, the drummer, rejected it because he's having his third wedding this year. Though, the band is cordial with him."
Aiden ignored the third wedding part and began to ask questions.
"What about the vocalist?"
"The rest of the members haven't been in touch with him for over a decade now. We don't have any chance of getting him as he's just living a good life as a millionaire."
Aiden thought about it.
With three members, the band was incomplete but maybe, this is what Aiden was going to get. After all, getting all the members together didn't sound easy and he didn't want to wait till the drummer's honeymoon was over.
Moreover, he knew that 'The Boys' was one of the most popular bands from the 90s. He might not get a better group to collaborate.
He was also interested in their music and it would be fun to write something like that.
That's why, Aiden nodded his head.
"Okay, let's go with 'The Boys' for the first song of the mini album. I can be the vocalist of the song anyway."
"Okay."
Wade nodded and like that, the album production started.
