He… had a dream of Brother Pei returning and desperately wanted to keep him, wishing he could swallow him whole.

Si Huaixi opened his eyes to find a warm and delicate body in his arms, Pei Zhaozhou’s tired sleeping face, with a hint of contented blush in the corner of his eyes, and slightly swollen red lips that were parted…

Si Huaixi immediately froze. His post-drunken haze hadn’t cleared up yet, but he could feel the warmth in his embrace, leaving him bewildered and overwhelmed.

There was also a sense of lingering confusion, like being caught between dream and reality.

If this were truly a dream, he wished Brother Pei could take him along.

Si Huaixi cautiously supported his body and leaned down, as if he was approaching fragile foam, his deep and affectionate gaze gently kissing the forehead of Pei Zhaozhou, underneath his ocean-blue eyes shimmering with longing.

The person beneath him seemed to be awakened by the kiss, his brows furrowed as he struggled before sleepily opening his eyes, his eyelashes quivering as if ready to wake up.

Suddenly, Si Huaixi felt anxious. For a moment, he didn’t know whether he wanted to wake up from this dream or continue sleeping…

In the deep blue sea of hesitance and restlessness, a warm glow, tinged with hues of amber and platinum, welcomed the newly awakened.

Pei Zhaozhou’s amber-platinum eyes flickered with a hint of shyness and slight annoyance. He thought about how they had barely exchanged a few words last night before Si Huaixi crazily kissed him without any follow-up. He had only managed to fall asleep when the sky brightened, and the sensation of their encounter still lingered, causing his heart to tremble even now.

Pei Zhaozhou pursed his lips and, facing Si Huaixi’s stunned ocean-blue eyes, suddenly smiled. There was a glimmer in his eyes as he took the initiative to grab Si Huaixi’s shoulder, forcefully pulling him closer and giving him a good morning kiss.

“Morning,” Pei Zhaozhou’s lips carried an alluring tone, his voice husky and sexy. His eyelashes lightly brushed Si Huaixi’s cheek as he seductively whispered, “Finally… found you.”

Si Huaixi was left stunned by the kiss, his whole body frozen. For several seconds, he couldn’t react. His blank mind only registered that Brother Pei in his dream was just as seductive and proactive.

While Si Huaixi remained dumbfounded, Pei Zhaozhou got off the bed. Only when the sheets slipped from his body could one see how intense last night’s affair had been. His reformed body was originally symmetrical and fair, resembling a polished moonlight jade stone. However, his now pale body… even his knees were tinged with blush, not a single spot without love marks. The fair and tender skin, affected by last night’s fervor, was now as red as boiled shrimp, the love marks covering his entire body like a map.

Pei Zhaozhou slightly bent down, intending to pick up their clothes from last night. As he did so, a sticky substance slowly dripped, and his sore body felt uncomfortable. He gently bit his lip while picking up the clothes.

A cold frown formed on Pei Zhaozhou’s face, his fingers buttoning up the clothes while contemplating whether not taking precautions would lead to another pregnancy.

He didn’t have a negative feeling about having a second child; it would be good to have a sibling for Little Soybean. However, the timing now might be a bit rushed.

Si Huaixi, beside him, seemed to be completely paralysed, not daring to blink his eyes, fearing that the Brother Pei before him might suddenly disappear.

“Brother Pei,” he whispered.

“Brother Pei—” he softly repeated.

“Brother Pei!” Si Huaixi shouted with a tremor of surprise and hope.

The dream-like figure of Brother Pei in the room responded.

Pei Zhaozhou’s hand brushed against Si Huaixi’s cheek, gazing into his startled ocean-blue eyes. Their affectionate gaze met, and warm breaths mingled at the bridge of their noses. Pei Zhaozhou said, “Here.”

Si Huaixi reached out his trembling hand, his eyes filled with anticipation and fear, and pleaded earnestly, “Can you… hug me?”

Pei Zhaozhou hugged him.

Si Huaixi turned his face, feeling the warmth of the embrace, the rising and falling of the chest stirring his excitement, as he breathed in deeply.

“Can you… kiss me?”

Pei Zhaozhou’s eyes showed a hint of shyness, but he still kissed Si Huaixi, giving him a kiss that he eagerly awaited with wide-open ocean-blue eyes.

The arc of Si Huaixi’s lips widened slightly.

“One more kiss,” he demanded.

Pei Zhaozhou reluctantly complied, a smile evident in his eyes.

“Not enough,” Si Huaixi’s gaze grew increasingly intense.

Pei Zhaozhou leaned in, initiating a kiss. This time, Si Huaixi’s hand gripped his waist, the fierce kiss almost robbing him of breath. Their hastened breaths reflected the urgency, and their tongues tingled from the fervent exchange.

Until their faces flushed with a rosy hue, and Pei Zhaozhou’s amber eyes shimmered with a sparkling light.

Si Huaixi released Pei Zhaozhou, gazing at his once stern face, now adorned with a charming blush. His lips were like rain-soaked petals, evoking a sense of tender compassion. “Truly beautiful,” Si Huaixi blurted with a shine in his eyes.

“What happens next?” Pei Zhaozhou questioned, confused.

He glanced at Si Huaixi’s expectant expression and bit his lip, feeling helpless against this greedy devil. “No, we can’t continue. I…” Si Huaixi’s watery blue eyes filled with disappointment, causing an overwhelming sense of heartache.

Pei Zhaozhou swallowed his refusal and blushed, his cheeks heating up. He murmured, “Later, I’ll give you more.”

Si Huaixi sat on the edge of the bed, one hand embracing Pei Zhaozhou’s waist. His eyes flickered, lowered in a way that concealed his deep possessiveness, his black hair reflecting a soft sheen like the surface of a hidden sea. He spoke with a voice that hid a dangerous possessiveness, evoking both tenderness and fear.

“Only me, Brother Pei, you belong to me.”

His slightly cool lips pressed against the thin fabric, kissing Pei Zhaozhou’s abdomen as his voice grew deeper. “No one else.”

Unaware, Pei Zhaozhou tenderly caressed Si Huaixi’s head, held securely in his embrace. He hesitated and blushed, softly saying, “Mmm, only for you.”

Si Huaixi’s expression momentarily eased, and he continued to ask the numerous questions in his heart. “Why did you leave me? Why didn’t you come find me?” Si Huaixi inquired with a hint of difficulty.

“Three years ago, I was seriously injured. After being saved by a doctor, I fell into a coma and only recently woke up to find you,” Pei Zhaozhou explained.

“Injured…” Si Huaixi’s heart clenched, and he used his spiritual power to probe Pei Zhaozhou’s body, his brow furrowing with greater scrutiny. This body… resembled Brother Pei, yet it was no longer the same. After careful examination, Si Huaixi discovered several distinct peculiarities. Brother Pei’s heart and other organs showed signs of different ages, indicating multiple replacements. That was why he couldn’t find him, nearly missing him altogether. He couldn’t imagine how much pain and suffering Brother Pei had endured to have this partially restored body, seemingly new but inherently fragile.

Pei Zhaozhou was adapting to this body. Compared to his previously robust physique, this repaired form was akin to recovering from a severe illness. As Si Huaixi touched Pei Zhaozhou’s wrist, he felt a faint chill, causing his heart to ache with a cold pang. “Does it hurt?”

Si Huaixi’s eyes reflected concern as he empathized with the torment Pei Zhaozhou had endured, his very breath constricted by pain. Pei Zhaozhou’s pupils quivered slightly, his hand gently caressing Si Huaixi’s face. He gazed into his deep, oceanic eyes, as if expressing a mixture of resentment and anger, offering comfort. “It doesn’t hurt anymore.”

Si Huaixi’s gaze deepened, suppressing a surge of intense emotions, and he hoarsely declared, “I won’t leave you again.”

Raising his gaze, he stared intently at Pei Zhaozhou and said, “You won’t leave me either.”

“Alright,” Pei Zhaozhou agreed.

After an uncertain period of time, Pei Zhaozhou felt his legs growing numb, while Si Huaixi still clung to him, unwilling to let go. Pei Zhaozhou sighed helplessly, “We have some matters to attend to. I’ll take you to see Little Soybean. While I was unconscious for these three years, thanks to a kind-hearted doctor, Little Soybean was born and grew up safely. She’s a lovely little girl who should be at the palace today. Surprisingly, the king took a liking to her and is teaching her how to control her psychic power…”

As Pei Zhaozhou spoke, he suddenly paused, his gaze slightly puzzled as he looked at Si Huaixi. “Speaking of which, you bear some resemblance to the king. Where have you been all these years? Why couldn’t I find any trace of you?”

Si Huaixi pouted, pointing at himself, his sea-blue eyes wide open, and he bitterly accused, “I’m the King, Brother Pei, can’t you recognize me?”

Pei Zhaozhou’s expression shifted from confusion to embarrassment, his brows furrowing. Then, suddenly, he burst into laughter, playfully pinching Si Huaixi’s slightly inflated face. As he looked into his deflated and astonished sea-blue eyes, they resembled angry Little Soybeans.

How did he not notice it before?

Pei Zhaozhou chuckled apologetically, saying, “I’m sorry, Your Majesty the King.”

Si Huaixi furrowed his brows with a sense of grievance. He felt that Brother Pei was just trying to placate him. He was both angry and regretful. Why didn’t he notice Brother Pei earlier? No… in fact, he had already noticed, but he couldn’t believe that the impostor was actually Brother Pei himself. He never expected Brother Pei to come back alive and find him.

“It’s okay. It’s just great that Brother Pei is alive.” Si Huaixi suppressed his trembling voice and, with a flickering gaze, held Pei Zhaozhou’s fingers and devoutly kissed them, like a devout believer finally finding their own light.

Pei Zhaozhou touched Si Huaixi’s cheek, deeply moved. His eyes flashed with gratitude as he said, “Hmm, it’s so wonderful to be alive and see you.”

The two of them seemed to be silently immersed in the presence of each other, breathing the same air, their touches intermingling, their bodies closely intertwined. Their temperatures merged, and even the sound of their beating hearts brought tears to their eyes. Unspoken gratitude and affection flowed between them.
