The following days passed without much incident. Jake didn't seem to find out about the night at the hotel, and Wang Jian was careful not to push his luck too far. Instead, he maintained his usual charm, flirting with Jessica when they met in secret but keeping things discreet enough to avoid arousing suspicion.

Meanwhile, Wang Jian's girlfriend Emily began to act differently toward him. Ever since that night at the club, she had noticed something had changed in Wang Jian. He seemed more confident, more charismatic, and it was as though a spark had been reignited between them. Emily, who had been slowly drifting away from him before, now found herself wanting to spend more time with him.

One evening, Emily showed up at Wang Jian's hostel unannounced, a playful smile on her face. "Hey," she greeted him, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation. "I was thinking we could spend some time together tonight. Maybe go out for dinner or something?"

Wang Jian, who had been expecting a quiet night to himself, was caught off guard. He raised an eyebrow at her sudden interest but managed to hide his annoyance. "Dinner, huh?" he said with a casual smile. "I didn't know you missed me that much."

Emily laughed lightly, her eyes twinkling. "I do. I've noticed you've been different lately... in a good way. It's like you've become more... I don't know... exciting?"

Wang Jian internally rolled his eyes. He knew exactly what had changed-his focus had shifted away from her, and now that she sensed it, she was scrambling to regain his attention. But outwardly, he kept his expression neutral, nodding as though he was considering her words.

"Maybe I have," he said with a smirk. "But tonight... I actually have some things to take care of. How about we plan something for another day?"

Emily pouted slightly, but she didn't press the issue. "Okay, but don't forget about me, alright? I still want us to have some fun together."

Wang Jian nodded, giving her a light peck on the lips before she left. As soon as the door closed behind her, he let out a sigh of relief. The truth was, he had no interest in rekindling things with Emily. His mind was elsewhere-specifically, on Jessica.

His relationship with Emily had become a chore, and while he still played along when necessary, his heart wasn't in it. Jessica, on the other hand, was a challenge-a thrill that excited him far more than his routine with Emily ever could. He wasn't about to let that go.

As the night wore on, Wang Jian pulled out his phone and began texting Jessica, who responded almost immediately. The two exchanged playful messages, with Wang Jian flirting effortlessly and teasing her about their next secret meeting. Jessica seemed eager to see him again, and before long, they were planning another rendezvous for the following week.

Wang Jian smiled to himself as he lay back on his bed, satisfied with how things were going. Everything was falling into place. He had Jessica wrapped around his finger, and Jake remained blissfully unaware. Even Emily, who had once been a problem, was no longer a major concern. He had control of the situation, and that was exactly how he liked it.

The next day, Wang Jian arrived at his arts design college, where he was enrolled in a game design course. The campus was bustling with students, all eager to get to their classes. As Wang Jian made his way through the courtyard, he noticed the usual group of bullies eyeing him from a distance. They were a trio of guys who had made it their mission to torment him ever since he arrived at the college. However, Wang Jian wasn't the same person they once bullied. His confidence had grown, and he was no longer afraid of them.

"You actually came," she said, her voice soft.

asked, and I'm not one to ignore a beautiful woman."

Jessica blushed, her nervousness fading as Wang Jian's confidence enveloped her. They spoke

for a while, their conversation playful and flirty. It wasn't long before Jessica began

complaining about Jake, telling Wang Jian about the latest argument they had.

"He's just so controlling sometimes," she said, sighing. "I feel like I can't even breathe

around him."

Wang Jian smiled sympathetically, taking full advantage of the moment. "You deserve better than that, Jessica. You're too amazing to be stifled like that."

She bit her lip, her eyes flickering with uncertainty, but also with desire. Wang Jian saw the

way she looked at him-the way she wanted something more than just a sympathetic ear. He made sure to record their conversation subtly, capturing every word she said about Jake. He had plans for this information later.
