Villain Ch 16. Bloody War [Part 2]
Mac's world began to spin as the demon's claw was removed from his stomach. He fell to the ground. Blood gushed out of his wound, creating a puddle of crimson around him. He was barely conscious, but his vision was clear enough to see the demon staring at him, his eyes gleaming with a malevolent glint.
Allen's smirk grew wider as he watched the swordsman bleed out. He was enjoying every moment of this and relished the feeling of power that came from attacking the players so easily. He knew that this was just the beginning and that there were many changes for him later.
As he stood there, watching Mac's life force ebb away, Allen couldn't help but chuckle. He was pleased with his work. He had shown the other players that he was not to be trifled with and that he was a force to be reckoned with.
Mac's body was still twitching from the pain, but his eyes were fierce, filled with determination even in the face of death. Allen had to admit, he found the player's courage impressive.
"Do you think you can stop me?" Allen asked, his voice cold as ice. He had put his eyes on Mac since the beginning. Because while most players ran and screamed in terror, Mac was different. He faced the mutant bug head-on. Allen saw a true leader in him, a player who could inspire others to fight and not give up.
Once again, Allen raised his Demonic Claw, ready to strike down on Mac's lifeless body. But, a sudden burst of light enveloped the area, blinding everyone momentarily. The sound of shuffling feet followed, and when the light dissipated, a young woman with short brown hair and a white healer's robe stood near them.
"Heal!" she shouted again, her hands glowing with a soft, green light. The energy flowed from her palms and entered Mac's body, mending his wounds and restoring his health.
The light concentrated on Mac's wounded stomach, where the black claw had left a gaping hole. The girl's eyes remained fixed on the wound as the light pulsated around it. Mac felt a sudden sensation of warmth spread through his body as the light slowly began to close his wound. The blood that had previously drenched his swordsman uniform was now fading away, leaving no trace of its existence. But it didn't mean he was completely healed.
The light made Allen turn his attention to the healer. That was when he saw her. She stood there, trembling and wide-eyed, staring at him with a look of raw fear etched on her face.
Mac recognized her. She was the healer who buffed him earlier. "What are you doing?! Run!" he bellowed, his voice hoarse with exhaustion. He couldn't do anything to save her except warn her.
Allen's eyes flicked to the healer once more. "Run?" he muttered, his voice cold and steely. Then he used his skill.
'Shadow Step!'
As soon as Allen activated his skill, he disappeared in a blur and then reappeared behind the healer.
"Don't ever think of it…" Allen said once more. His eyes stared at the healer coldly, filled with killing intent.
She screamed and tried to run away, but Allen grabbed her hair and pulled her head back, revealing her delicate neck. She trembled in fear, thinking that she was about to meet her end.
Mac saw what was happening and tried to run to save the healer, but once more he fell to his knees, he couldn't move as fast as before since his wound didn't completely heal yet. His HP points not even reached 50% yet. He could only watch as Allen held the healer, hostage.
"Please, let her go!" Mac begged, his voice shaking with fear and anger.
But Allen just laughed, his eyes glinting with malice. "Why should I?"
As the healer stared at the menacing figure of Allen, her heart pounding in her chest, she realized with a sinking feeling that she was not going to escape unscathed. Trembling, she tried to escape, but her feet felt like they were glued to the ground.
Allen's eyes glinted in the dim light, a sinister smile curling his lips as he reached out and grabbed the terrified healer by the neck. She gasped for air, her eyes bulging in panic as she struggled to free herself from his grasp.
"Please, let me go!" she cried out, her voice choked with fear.
But Allen didn't release his grip. Instead, he lifted her up by the neck, the force of his grip causing her to gasp and choke for air. He towered over her, his black armor glinting ominously in the dim light, and his eyes filled with malice and cruelty.
"Soul Siphon," Allen muttered in a vicious tone. His red eyes glinted.
[You are absorbing your enemy's HP and MP!]
Allen's fingers tightened around the healer's neck, and a dark aura emanated from his body, enveloping them both.
Mac watched in horror as the status above the healer's head changed, indicating that her health and mana were being drained. He knew what this skill was, and he knew that it was deadly.
Meanwhile, Allen's eyes shone with a sinister gleam as he absorbed the life force of the helpless healer. His power grew stronger with each passing moment, fueled by her very essence.
"NO!" Mac screamed. Even though it was just a game, the terror and everything seemed real to him. And seeing someone who was trying to save him die in front of him broke his heart.
[You have successfully absorbed your enemy's HP and MP!]
The healer's body in front of Allen hung limply in his hand. Allen tossed the healer's limp body aside like a rag doll. She hit the ground with a sickening thud.
Yes, to give a realistic impression, the body of a dead player didn't just disappear but remained there for a few seconds. And during that time the dead player could see what was going on, but he/she couldn't do anything or say anything.
