Villain Ch 91. Mad Devil
Mac couldn't help but sneer as he looked up at Allen. "What's the matter, Devil Emperor? Are you afraid to face me on the ground like a real warrior? Or are those demon wings just for show?" he taunted.
Allen only chuckled, seemingly amused by Mac's attempts to provoke him. "You really think I'm afraid of you?" he replied with a smirk.
Mac scoffed. "Of course, you are. You're just a coward who likes to attack from the shadows. That's why you're hiding up there like a scared little bird."
Mac's taunts and mockery continued to echo in the air, but Allen was no longer paying attention. Instead, he was deep in thought, analyzing the situation and trying to figure out what Mac was up to. It was clear to him now that Mac was not just trying to distract him with insults and verbal jabs. He had something else planned, and Allen needed to find out what it was before it was too late.
Then, he quickly got it. A smirk appeared on Allen's lips again. "I will kill you…" he hissed.
Waving his hand, Allen used his Demonic Lance. The black lances appeared in his hand, crackling with energy and dripping with dark magic.
With a fierce growl, Allen launched himself toward Mac, the wings on his back beating furiously as he soared through the air. The wind whipped past him, buffeting his body and tossing his hair in all directions.
Mac's quick reflexes and agility allowed him to dodge the black lances. He darted left and right, his body moving with incredible speed and fluidity as he evaded each deadly attack. Allen's attack was powerful, but Mac was prepared for it.
As the black lances hit the ground, Mac could hear the piercing sound of metal piercing stone. He could smell the acrid smoke that emanated from the lances, the scent making him wrinkle his nose. He knew that the black lances were coated with a toxic substance that would burn his flesh if he came into contact with them.
The smoke thinned. Mac's eyes widened in shock as he looked at Allen. He knew that Allen was quick, but this was beyond his expectations. Before he could react, he saw that Allen had already landed on the ground and had Yora in his grasp.
Allen's demonic claw was resting against Yora's neck, ready to strike at any moment. Yora's face was a picture of fear and panic as she realized the dire situation she was in. Mac gritted his teeth in frustration, knowing that he had been outmaneuvered by Allen once again.
"Nice plan, but you can't get away from me," Allen hissed, his voice laced with malice. He had always enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, and this was no exception.
Allen realized the plan since Mac kept glancing at the empty place. So, Allen knew the healer was hiding using her invisible crystal and tried to escape. Since Allen was in midair and could literally look in any direction so the only safest place to escape was behind him. And his guess was right. That way he could catch Yora easily, especially since Yora was a support healer type, not a battle type.
But to Allen's surprise, when he thought Yora would beg to let her go like yesterday, she gave a different reaction.
She quickly reacted by grabbing his claws with both hands and holding them down with all her might. Her grip was surprisingly strong, despite being a support healer type, and it caught Allen off guard. He was taken aback by the sudden turn of events, his eyes widening in surprise.
Yora's face was set in a determined expression as she struggled. Her heart was pounding in her chest, but she refused to give up without a fight.
"Kill him, Mac!" Yora's voice shook with determination as she held on tightly to Allen's demonic claw. Her eyes met Mac's, urging him to strike the final blow. The only female and healer in the group, she knew that her role was crucial, but she refused to be a burden to her team. She had already died once before and didn't want to experience it again, but this time she was determined to make her sacrifice count.
Mac was initially stunned by Yora's words. He had not expected her to sacrifice herself for him. The idea of losing her made him feel uneasy. But then, a sense of determination surged within him, and he gritted his teeth. He would not let her sacrifice be in vain. He knew he had to take this opportunity to defeat the Devil Emperor.
With a roar, Mac lunged forward with his sword in hand, ready to strike.
An evil smirk appeared on Allen's lips. "Fool…" he hissed. Without hesitation he used his Fly skill and flew away, taking Yora with him.
Yora's heart pounded in her chest as she felt the sudden sensation of weightlessness. Panic set in as her feet left the ground and her body was lifted into the air. Her arms flailed as she tried to regain her balance, but it was no use. She slumped in the air, her legs thrashing as she tried to find something to hold onto.
In the chaos, Yora's grip on Allen's claw slipped, and she was momentarily free. But before she could make a move to escape, Allen's grip tightened around her wrist, pulling her higher into the air. Yora looked up at Allen, fear and desperation etched on her face.
Allen stopped his ascent, hovering in mid-air with Yora held tightly in his grasp. She struggled to break free, but Allen's grip was too strong. Yora looked down, her eyes widening as she saw Mac.
As Mac closed in, Allen swung Yora around, using her as a shield to block the incoming attack. Yora screamed in terror as Mac's weapon sliced through the air, missing her by mere inches. Her scream made Mac hesitate.
Allen chuckled darkly, reveling in the fear and panic he had instilled in his opponents. He tightened his grip on Yora's wrist.
