Villain Ch 131. His Real World Harem [Part 1]
Once Shea exited the room and the door closed, Allen's attention shifted to Zoe, who sat across him, seemingly engrossed in the virtual realm. Her VR headset remained firmly secured to her head, shielding her from the outside world.
Allen released a slow, deliberate exhale and put his VR headset carefully on the table beside him. His gaze was still on her.
"Zoe," Allen spoke, his voice carrying a mix of curiosity. "How much longer do you plan on pretending to be 'online'?" The words dripped with gentle skepticism, a playful accusation laced within.
They were logged out together, but he was the only one who removed his headset. He was sure Zoe was only pretending. He guessed Zoe was embarrassed by what happened and the fact that her mom was here. So Zoe simply gave Allen all the chances to explain everything. But indeed, it turned into something else.
Due to his words, she carefully lifted her VR headset from her head, feeling a strange mix of exhilaration and trepidation. The sleek black device revealed her flushed face, the warmth of her cheeks contrasting with the cool touch of the technology. Her eyes flickered with a hint of uncertainty as they locked onto Allen. A nervous smile played upon her lips.
"Sorry," Zoe mumbled under her breath, her cheeks burning with embarrassment and her whole body engulfed in an overwhelming sense of awkwardness. She wished she could disappear into the depths of abyss to escape this mortifying situation. What made it even worse was the fact that she immediately caught on to her mother's intentions. The momentary glint in her eyes, the subtle shift in her body language—it was crystal clear. Her mother wanted to do the unthinkable. She wanted to open Allen's robe!
Allen, trying to diffuse the tension, mustered up a half-hearted smile and waved a dismissive hand. "I'm not going to blame you. I know it was awkward, and I'd gladly put my VR headset back on and pretend none of this ever happened rather than face something like that again," he admitted, his voice tinged with lingering awkwardness, leaving a sour taste in his mouth.
Zoe winced, her nerves getting the better of her as she tugged at the hem of her shirt. "That's exactly what I did," she confessed, her voice barely audible.
In response, Allen met her confession with a flat stare. "So, you're telling me you knew that your mom wanted to open my robe, and you didn't lift a finger to stop her?" he shot back, hitting the bullseye with his astute guess.
Zoe's gaze locked onto Allen's, her eyes widening in a mixture of surprise and apprehension. "You knew?" she stammered, her voice laced with a tinge of disbelief.
Allen nodded, a wry smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "It was too obvious," he replied, a hint of amusement infusing his words. He had harbored doubts initially, unsure of whether his suspicions were true or not. Yet, with Zoe's candid admission, the pieces of the puzzle had fallen into place.
Once again, Zoe could only cringe awkwardly and didn't know what to say. Unable to bear the awkwardness any longer, she rose from her seat with a graceful yet hurried motion.
"I... I think I should go back to my room," Zoe finally spoke, her voice tinged with a mixture of unease and a hint of resignation. She averted her gaze, unable to meet Allen's eyes directly.
Allen understood the depth of Zoe's discomfort. With a sympathetic nod, he acquiesced. "Good night, Zoe" he replied, his voice laced with understanding.
Zoe's footsteps echoed through the room as she walked towards the exit, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. The image of her mother standing before Allen, on the verge of exposing his robe, played on a loop in her mind, igniting a torrent of unease and curiosity that coursed through her veins. Her heart raced.
Almost reaching the entrance, Zoe suddenly came to a halt, her body freezing in place as if tethered by an invisible force. A surge of determination welled within her, compelling her to turn back and face Allen once more. She knew she couldn't simply walk away, leaving their conversation hanging in the air.
"Allen… If you have a chance to have a relationship with several women at the same time. Creating a harem in real life… Do you want to do it?" she suddenly asked. It bothered her and it was the only solution she could think of. Her nervous face changed into a serious one.
Allen's eyebrows furrowed as he processed Zoe's unexpected question. The air grew heavy with contemplation, their gazes locked in an unspoken battle of understanding.
He took a moment to collect his thoughts before finally responding, his voice steady but laced with an undercurrent of seriousness. "That question should not be for me, but for you," he replied.
His gaze bore into Zoe's, searching for answers that remained elusive. "Are you sure that you want to share intimate moments with other people? Seeing your beloved one in bed with another. Sharing a bed with others?" he returned her question, his tone mirroring the weight of her inquiry. The complexity of the situation unfolded before him, demanding careful consideration.
He remembered Bella and Alice saying similar things when they went online together for the first time. He didn't know if it was a joke or not. But since it was their first meeting, he decided to take it as a joke. Besides, Alice and Bella always like to joke around even in precarious situations. It was hard to know whether they said it out of a joke or if it was the truth.
"If we don't mind, do you want to do it?" Zoe's words hung in the air, her voice filled with a mix of determination and anticipation. Her gaze pierced through Allen, seeking his earnest response to her audacious proposal.
