Chapter 408

Her brows furrowed a little before her eyelids slowly opened, revealing her beautiful green eyes, and immediately, her senses were drawn to the warmth and the tight embrace of the man who was holding her to sleep.

Fiona could not help but blush when she landed her eyes on his perfect profile, and for the next several minutes, she kept blankly staring at him.

He was handsome, and so ridiculously handsome that she could have never imagined someone like him in her dreams. And yet, he was the one holding her in his arms, in her bed, after they shared a passionate morning.

"Mhmm~" A moan nearly escaped her mouth before she shut it up. His hold was just too comforting, and she could also not wrap her mind around how someone could smell so good.

Even though the only other man she had been with was Roy's father, she understood that men were not supposed to smell so good, especially after indulging in a carnal affair. Well, no humans could smell so good after all the sweat and exertion.

Soon her mind drifted off to the glimpses of memory from the morning, and Fiona felt her womb start aching and her insides growing wetter.

She squirmed a little and started rubbing her feet together in her agitation.

For minutes, she debated if she should do what she wanted to do, and then when she finally mustered up enough courage, she reached for his face to plant a kiss on his cheek.

A quick peck, and then she pulled back, soon finding it hard to hold back her giggles at her silliness. But now she was a little bolder, and seeing that there was no change in his expression, she gave him another kiss, and then another.

"Mammy!"

The sudden call froze her, and for a moment, Fiona felt like her soul was leaving her body.

With the call came the opening of her room's door, and then she heard her son step inside the room.

For the next several seconds, there was a stunned silence as the mother and son met each other's eyes. And then finally some sense kicked in as Fiona checked that they were properly covered under her comforter.

"Roy, I will meet you at dinner. Master Keith is resting right now." She lightly said to her child, managing to smile at him, and the young boy just kept staring at them. "Roy!"

"Yes, Mammy!" He panicked a little and then smiled at her before running out of the room, closing the door behind him.

And as she heard his steps going farther and farther away, shame kicked in and her eyes became a little misty.

"You seem rather displeased and ashamed for being caught with me in the bed."

She heard a voice that made her flinch in surprise, and then her eyes started dripping tears when she found Keith looking at her.

"It is not that, Master." She shook her head in a panic, and Keith sighed as he helped himself up and sat against the headrest.

Fiona immediately wiped away her tears and lowered her head, feeling more ashamed, and the silence that followed suffocated her.

"Are you unwilling to warm my bed?" He straightforwardly asked, and Fiona panicked even more, subconsciously shaking her head. "Oh..."

Thankfully for her, no one at the table teased her or poked fun at her, but Fiona felt very embarrassed when Diana gave her a meaningful smile.

Since Roy was at the table with them, the old lady of the Demiliore Family engaged him and the Hubo Twins in conversations and even helped Harud start a conversation with them.

The young Mir did not know how to speak Persian, so, Diana helped him convey his words to the Hubo Twins.

After dinner, Keith stood up and asked Roy to follow him, and the boy obediently complied as they went to his study.

"Sit," Keith said as he sat at the coffee table, and then under Roy's amazed eyes, created a chessboard and pieces of Crystalline Ice.

"I am not good at it." The boy did not ask him how he managed to do it or anything about Magic but informed him that he was not good at chess, anxious that his lack of skill would bore Keith.

"I will teach you."

Roy raised his head and looked at Keith in surprise, soon smiling as he gratefully nodded and started playing the game.

He attentively listened to Keith point out his mistakes and tried his best to think as hard as he could when Keith asked him to pick the next best move.

An hour later, Roy was even doubting if he had a brain up in his skull, and it was then that Keith ended their session.

"We will play again tomorrow at the same time." He told the boy, and Roy nodded his head in reply.

"Thank you for your time and teachings, Master." He respectfully stood up and bowed to him, as Romeo had taught him how to behave around and address Keith, and felt relieved when he saw his Master nod his head appreciatively.

"You have been impressive in your training, and soon I will personally guide you."

"Thank you!" He gratefully bowed again, feeling elated.

"Go now. Your mother is waiting for you."

"Yes, Master." Roy quickly took his leave, and Keith smiled as he watched the door close behind the boy.

Even though he already knew what kind of character and personality Roy possessed, he was still going to keep a watchful eye on the boy.

For the last hour, he had been searching for any hint of resentment, and he did find some apprehensions that the boy kept quiet about, but there were no traces of grievances.

He was immensely grateful for the life he had now, and he was even more grateful that his mother was alive and well.

Roy was quite a filial boy, and Keith was going to train him to become one of his greatest assets in the future.
